There are apps and roms with this feature.

This was ported to Beanstalk build on Toro, so it is possible. I have it working right now with that build. And no app and mod works as well as ChaOS version of Active Display.

Yes... They only mentioned on the OP to read carefully.. They added PA Setting only on 4.1.2.. After that version 4.2.1 doesn't have this feature...
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Couldn't you just pull the PA preferences apk from the ROM and add it yourself?

Volume button for next track mod?

I'm currently running jbsourcery ROM and I'm pretty happy with it overall, but would love to get back the mod that skips tracks from holding the volume up button that I had on my last ROM. On a motorcycle its invaluable!
It's there a mod that's universal or for JBS that I can flash to add this?
Thanks in advance!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
There is a mod available for aosp based ROMs. This feature is baked in JBSourcery. Check under settings/sound volume rocker music control.

Its been a while since I've been on sourcery. Could be under lockscreen settings.
Edit: if it isn't under sound or lock screen, check jbs settings/ magical ui I believe it was called.

Doubtful...considering the technology are way dif and ahead. 13mp vs. 8mp and the hardware are completely dif. It may work w the s3 but will run into a whole lot of issue.

It is a software. It will be possible if a dev decides to take on the challenge. I thought G3 and G2 have similar cameras....Im sure it is do-able!

Yeah but I believe there has to be some frameworks in the Settings app so we need the Moto settings app.

Yep, if you do a search it shows that moto framework is needed for this to work properly. It's been tried in the android software development forum.

As mentioned that app requires Motorola framework to even function
It's a demanding feature, but I think non of xda dev is working on it.Sad.
