[APP][4.4] Stock launcher v4.4-5 with translucent nav and status bar - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

So I replaced the stock Nexus 4 launcher with the Moto X 4.4 launcher wich come with translucent nav and status bar and worked like a charm.
NOTE:
I'm not taking any credit for this. I'm just sharing for those like me who were looking for a stock Kit Kat experience.
Download:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8JIVhm4BwVTRzVsLWlFejNmM0E/edit?usp=sharing
Steps:
1- Back up your stock launcher
2- Install Nova or any other launcher and set it as your default launcher
3- Wipe and uninstall the Nexus 4 stock launcher using Titanium Backup
4- Move the Moto X launcher to system/app and set the permissions (rw-r--r--)
5- Reboot
6- ENJOY!
Screenshots:

Didn't work for me for some reason, TB wiped the data but when I tried to uninstall a "can't find the app" msg popped out.

it was already in the cm7 rom, it was under the widgets it just said news and weather I had it on my home screen then after I rebooted after the gapps flash it was gone and its no where to be found

If your talking about the stock News and Weather it should be there somewhere. If not reflash the rom and GAPPS or find a different GAPP
Here is my geniewidget.apk, but it's not the stock one. It has a semi-transparent black background instead of the gray matte that you're used to seeing. Use a root level file explorer (Root Explorer, EStrongs, etc) and move it to /system/app and set permissions to rw-r--r-- then reboot. You can do the same with any other geniewidget.apk, including the one from the gapps if you want the original. Or you can just reflash the gapps zip.

[Q] Remove ADW Launcher from cm7.2

Hey guy.
I just want to know if it is possible to remove the ADW Launcher from cm7.2 so I can install another launcher and not have the two installed and running.

you need to have another launcher first...
you can push this launcher to /system/app so it shows as a system app, but that's not neccessary.
just make sure you have another working launcher
If he fails, he can always push one with ADB .
I've had the same problem... I uninstalled ADW from CM 7 on XPeria Pro, but now I'm missing the CM settings menu in Android settings... is there a way to make it return or is it gone?

[Repository] JB - ICS - AOKP & Stock APK's

I had a thread on the GSII Forums for an APK Repository and it was heavily used. Since I'm now on the GSIII and starting devlopment I figured I'd start the APK Repository for this forum as well. I will do my best to keep a complete list of all Stock and AOKP APK's. I WILL NOT add any paid apk's to this list so please don't ask. Also, if I include any modded apk's or customized items that other developers created I'll be sure and give credit to them.
Hope this thread helps.
** I am not responsible for your phone if anything happens. Please flash at your own risk and be sure to MAKE BACKUPS. **
The main purpose behind this thread is to have a central location for all the Stock Jelly Bean and ICS APK's. I will include Mods for APK's as well as I find them.
Instructions for Flashing APK's
**Most APK's are just like any other app. You download and install it like any other app.
Some APK's are system apps (Email, Exchange, Messages, any app that can't be deleted without using TiBu). For these APK's you will need to:
DO A NANDROID BACKUP or backup your phone however you see fit. If you fail to do this and something goes wrong, please don't start trolling this thread.
1. Download the APK
2. Use a Root Explorer and move the downloaded APK to your system/app folder
3. Reboot in to Recovery
4. Wipe Cache Partition and Dalvik Cache (Dalvik Cache is located under 'Advanced')
5. Reboot Phone and Enjoy
*NOTE: If you have any permission issues with system APK's or Moving them to the system/app folder you may need to change their permissions. To do this, open a root explorer and navigate to the system/app folder and find the APK you moved there. Check the permissions and make sure they are set to rw-r--r--. If you have any other issues try wiping dalvik cache again and rebooting your phone.
Here is a free root explorer that I use, there are several others in the market.

AOKP Jelly Bean - Download This One
Remove 'AccuWeather.com ' logo from LockScreen.
To do this you need to modify your framework-res.apk.Navigate to res\drawable-xhdpi and find the .png labled 'keyguard_lockscreen_ic_weather_logo.png'. I have attached the image you can download and move to this folder.
Instructions:
1. Download this .png
2. Use a root explorer (ES File Explorer or Root Browser Lite), Copy the .png you downloaded above and Navigate to your system folder
3. Once in system folder, navigate to system/framework/framework-res.apk
4. Open framework-res.apk and navigate to res/drawable-xhdpi
5. Paste the .png into this folder (overwite the image if prompted).
6. Restart your phone, and the accuweather logo should be gone. Enjoy
Extended Power Menu - I have tested on Stock JB.
If you try flashing this on something other than a stock JB rom please make a backup prior to flashing. I have not tested this on anything else. Also, most custom ROM's have an extended power menu by default.
Download Extended Power Menu Here * I pulled this power menu from GraffixNYC's ported JB Forum. Thank you.
more Mods to come....
Key Lime Pie (KLP) Updates? Regardless...this is my final reserve.
This will be a great thread,I can tell. I noticed however, you didn't mention anything about changing permissions on system apk's. Does the dakvik and cache wipe reset them?

I've never needed to set permissons for the service APKs when I add them directly to the system/app folder or if I'm replacing system apk's with something different. If I need to update the thread to include how to change permissions I'll be more than happt to do so. I assume the system/app folder has permissions assigned to it and any APK's that fall within that folder inherit the same permissions. If I'm wrong let me know.
Thanks for the heads up.

I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question but, do stock jelly bean apps work on stock ics ?
The reason I ask is because I tried the above steps for the stock messging app from jelly bean and it was a no go.

Some apps will work and some will not. If they are system apps that can't be deleted without using titanium backup or manually removing them from the system/app folder more than likely you'll have issues with them.
There are some very stable ported JB leaks and aokp roms available, why not just flash a JB rom

Is the S Planner widget APK in any of these (I see one named "Calendar" but I'm not sure if that's S Planner, or if it is if it's the widget). I have the app on my phone but not the widget (using KYAN rom) and would like to reinstall the widget somehow.
Thanks.

Ya I'm currently on a stock ported JB ROM that I've just tweaked to my liking. Best of both worlds.
I should have all the apks uploaded tomorrow so hopefully you can find the widget you want.

I have uploaded the S Planner Widget. You can download it from HERE.
This is a great idea! Suggestion if its ok. Maybe indicate which are Touchwiz dependent or are safe to install regardless of Rom.. I can see a new person thinking they can download the original apk and install it on a non Touchwiz rom. We know how much everyone reads before flashing.

I have the APK's broken out in the OP based off ROM (TW and AOKP). If users decide they don't want to read the OP and flash something that isn't made for their rom....I can't be responsible for that. I'm also not certain what apps will work on different roms and which ones will not. I haven't tested all apk's on all ROM's. I'm just doing my best to provide a centralized location that members can come to and download apk's they have lost or need.
Any way to get the group MMS apk in here?

[THEME][CM7]HTC_Wiz

This is a theme for the Droid Pro... it requires you to have the latest cm7 rom for the pro, you also must know the basics of flashing zips to your pro. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR PHONE IF YOU DON'T FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS... Make a cwm backup before all of this.
Ok so to start off you need all the downloads:
Touchwiz 5 mdpi cm7 theme: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DEsImNvbS5kcmlmZmV4LnRoZW1lLnRvdWNod2l6ejUiXQ..
Touchwiz 4 mdpi launcher/framework: http://www.mediafire.com/?nbt88883fzbw6br
Htc Sense 4.0 Widget (no weather): http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=977781&d=1333329979
Beats audio (may cause dspmanager to force close): https://play.google.com/store/apps/...medium=organic&utm_term=beats+audio+installer
Htc Wallpapers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=949679&d=1331880265
Second after all the downloading rebbot your phone into cwm recovery and make sure system and data are mounted and not the cache
Third navigate to the Touchwiz 4 launcher/framework zip and flash it then reboot...
Next install the rest of the stuff and apply the touchwiz 5 mdpi theme from theme manager and apply your wallpapers as you please!!! )

[MODS][JB][SAMSUNG ROM] TouchWiz UX Nature 200DPI

Hello people, this is my first contribution on XDA. :fingers-crossed:
After 3 days of work, I made a mod to TouchWix UX Nature that it works in 200DPI's resolution.
5x5 home screen grid & 5x6 applications grid.
This mod works perfectly in a SAMSUNG ROM based!
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Download the attachmented APK.
2. Open your favorite root file explorer -as RootExplorer-
3. Make a backup of /system/app/SecLauncher2.apk.
2. Move the 'modded SecLauncher2.apk' into /system folder.
3. Set rw-r--r-- and change owner to ROOT.
4. Move into /system/app folder and replace the original.
5. Reboot.
I hope it will be useful.

I've already updated!
Doesn't work on my Note 2. I was using 240DPI modded launcher and it worked fine. Installing this does the same effect as if I applied 200DPI using exposed app settings module, just compresses.

When I made this mod, I had a SII but now I've got a Note II too! .
I was studying the concept of multi-DPI on Android and I've discovered that DPI's size are 180/240/320. You shouldn't use others sizes.
I've tried this mod on my Note2 and it doesn't work.
Give me a couple of days and I will make one version that works on 200DPI.
Thanks
it works for galaxy s2 i9100, using fusion rom 1.5 ota 1 (s5 look like)
first replace seclauncher2.apk as the guide from the top,
reboot, if the icons doesnt fit the screen you do it right, then edit system/build.prop lcd density from 240 to 200 as we know reboot again and should work, some apps force close just clean cache or data in appmanager
Thanks again
gran trabajo
@sikamikanico great job
would be nice if you could continue to make things how are you to this great community
