[request] CM10 mms.apk to Official JB Rom

I already tried but I'm receiving all the sms in separte threads. I replace SecMms.apk and the SecExchange.apk, I did this same thing with ICS and CM9 mms.apk and no single issue.
So the question is, what im doing wrong? or What else i need or remove in order to receive the messages in one single thread?
Thanks in advance for all the help that you guys could bring me in here.

I would like to know the answer too as has the exact same problem with Omega JB v27.. thanks.

I'd also like to know this.
Big fan of stock MMS.apk...especially the hacked variety without the horrible smiley key!!

i had the same problem....with no solution yet

I could live with the horrible Stock mms.apk except if I know how to disable it's delivery report tone.. It's too annoying..

Just disable auto retrieve on the default messaging application and you have an identical and working replacement. No need for any dev work.

Its good but doesnt has the required features.. you can't hide senders name or hide the preview of the message etc.. but I guess it will be improved.. in any case something is better than nothing.. thanks again..

Running tablet versions of apps

What do you guys think about having tablet versions of apps installed, like the Chrome, gmail, netflix apps from the nexus 7 etc? I think some of those apps would be great for the note's 2 screen size.

If you are rooted, you can achieve this by editing a line in your build.prop
Screen density, i believe--- change it from 320 to 160, reboot, and clear your Play data and voila, your phone now thinks its a tablet.
I haven't tried this out, myself, but if you have any issues, just change the value back to what it was originally, and clear the market data again.

This is why im hoping someone ports paranoid over

The only problem with that it would be for all apps, I would like an option in stock kind of paranoid android, because not all apps look good in tablet mode

I tried to install an .Apk file for the tablet version of sketchbook pro. And while it worked the screen only showed the very middle of the window. So if there was a way to get the app to resize itself without changing the build.prop file that would be nice too. I'm not rooted either.

I installed SplashTop HD apk and i had the same issue, it worked, but only displayed the center of the screen for me.

My galaxy tab 10.1 had a mode where you could switch between "tablet/phone" modes but I haven't seen it since I got ICS. I wonder if someone could figure it out. lol

Hopefully there will be some way to get Sketchbook Pro running on these. I sold my old tablet (Lenovo ThinkPad) to order the Note 2 and for some reason didn't think about if Photoshop Touch or Sketchbook Pro would run on them. :C

You need an apk tool. The one from the SDK works fine for what u need to do.

Request: AOSP Email Client

Has anyone seen or ported the AOSP Email client into the Note 2? The Touchwiz Email client is virtually useless because of the font sizes (or if anyone has tamed the Touchwiz client down to something more reasonable?).
I use a Galaxy SIII and a custom ROM that has the AOSP email (beanstown), but my boss got a Note 2 but doesn't like the Email client and wants one like mine.

I have it on mine with no issues

Alright so you need root and root explorer to do this
you need to rename 2 files in /system/app
secemail.apk to secemail.apk.bak
secexchange.apk to secexchange.apk.bak
download this http://db.tt/JijfspHX
extract and paste both files into /system/app and change permissions to rw-r--r-- for both files and reboot.
AOSP Email will FC on startup go to Settings and application manager and clear data on email and your done.

You should be able to change the font size by usinf the menu button and clicking font sizes. Or is tiny still too large for your boss?

The font is huge. Tiny is still too large for me. I will try this method.

It worked, however the email shortcut on the lockscreen shows an incorrect unread count.

any chance a link to the actual thread so could read more up on it? i am interested in trying it, but the last thread i saw that was "working", they came back with it got broken by google/samsung?? so would like to find out more..
on a side note.. i have also read that the new S-Voice is now better than google now? can any confirm the truth behind this?

that's the closest thing I could find! I personally tried it on my note 2 and its working great!, my limited time with it about 10 mins lol its a lot better than s3 svoice

how would you compare to google now though
since the bad english on that guys part, what did you do for installing.. did yo uuninstall s-voice (if already on phone) then flashed... or were you able to flash it over s-voice etc.

I like it better than google voice the s voice driving mode is working as well! pretty cool having texts read back to you while driving I just installed it over my previous svoice works great!

Im on cr4.8 and working fine for me, the first time used it it gave me network error, opened back up and working ever since, did you guys have s-voice already on? I had it and just flashed right over the old without uninstalling the old
Tried to upload a screenshot for yall to show working but app tells me I have to update as no longer supported but app is up to date

Ok I uninstall ed again and wiped cache and dalvik 3 times then re flashed the zip... It won't show up anywhere... Not the app drawer, not in root explorer, nowhere.
So I flashed it again, still it won't show up?

No USIM SMS override

Hello, I am on Cloudys ProII ROM on the sprint network. I used the method to backup my APNs and restore them and install the go sms app to use my sms, and everything works great! Though I would like to use the default messaging app, and when you do this you get a "No USIM card" error and it prevents the message from sending. Does anyone have any ideas or possible fixes?

I've been getting the same issue... The ROM doesn't take into account that we don't have SIM cards, like other brands of the same phone...
I also get data cutting off on me (3g) after about 5-10 minutes of usage, rebooting fixes it.
Any luck?

Yea i would like to also kno this.....if you use a build prop editor and change ro.build.operator to SPR the messeaging will work but com.android.phone will crash if you try and make a call

You need to use lowercase spr to not have crashes.
ro.carrier=spr

Last night I was going through cloudyflex systemui trying to remember how to remove the carrier id when i came across a msim.xml. maybe this is a stupid thing to say, but could it be that simple, that its just named different?

I have an idea! Im not sure about how the cloudyflex rom zip is set up but i believe the problem is there are some files/apks that are either wrong or missing. Sim tool kit... is that in the common area on the rom zip? If so that would possibly be different for sprint. And I think the messaging app might be the same thing. I will test this theory when i get home unless someone beats me to it.

I dont have a copy of a stock kk rom so it's a little difficult. Im pretty convinced its a or several sprint apk's that are causing it just not sure where to start.

I believe the eri xml could be the problem. If you're on Verizon you should be able to find a compatible framework and pull the eri xml file and put it in the cloudy framework. Do a backup because this is just a theory.

Decompile your cloudy framework and put the linked xml in and then compile framework again. Then put it in a zip and AFTER you make a backup flash the modified framework.
Edit, sorry I've tried it and it doesn't work. I love the rom but that just annoys me beyond belief. I'm on a stock based rom right now with no problems.
