[Q] Headphone inline button not working anymore - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

Hi all,
I recently got my senheiser momentum headphone back from RMA, it has a 3 button remote cable. Two monthes ago the inline remote functioned perfectly now it refuses to work (verified in key test app the button does not register). I have tried the following to solve this issue. I did a full factory reset and I have tried cleaning the headphone port but I cant see any dirt or obstructions in there. On other android phones the buttons work perfectly.
I would hate to send my P6 in for RMA to fix this, anyone got a clue how I might solve this?
Many thanks in advance

how to deactivate the Headphone jack?

Hi,
does anyone has an idea how to deactivate the headphone jack in wm 6.1?
I wand to do so because sometimes the issue occurs that my prohpet is in "headset mode" but i do not have a headphone in the jack. Once this issues occurred i insert my headset BUT it´s already trash and so i do want to buy a new one?
Last time i solved the problem by reflashing. It takes time BUT i work.
Even soft resets didn´t help.
Thanks.

Hi Ronlion.
I've had that problem myself and I solved it by moving my stylus around in the headphone jack. It seems that it had got stuck in headphone-mode, thats a hardware-issue and not related to the OS.
I got the tip from Qtek-support and it worked for me.
I hope it will fix your problem, if it doesn't I'll try and find the mail they sent me and I'll paste it here for detailed instructions.
Cheers,

i have had the same problem and the stylus is the perfect to resolve it push on the pins in the jack my problem was at the last pin from up side to donw side all the best

Wired headset mic not working with CM7.0.3

Hey guys, always looked here first for info and help when it came to getting stuff done on android. I'm on the tail end of a lomg and arduous journey of migrating from my old Moto Cliq (mb200) to my now shiney new G2!
I originally got this phone for free from a friend cus it had water damage and woudnt show anything on the screen. I've since replaced the lcd and flex cable (both were damaged) and done some scrubbing under the keyboard to get it fully functional.
Last issue I'm having is that the mic on my wired headset isn't picking up voice. It may be hardware but I'm more inclined to think its software.
Any thoughts?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I'm also having this issue. In logcat I see that the headset gets picked up correctly, i.e.
Code:
Headset name: headset , mic:1
But the icon show in the notification bar doesn't show a headset with a mic, nor do any applications pick up the mic input. The play/pause function work for the button input, and the button presses get picked up as audio clicks (when recorded)
Apparently it does work with the stock rom though. Anyone have any data points on this issue?

[Q] Headset problem

Hello!
I have a very strange problem with my Trophy's stock headset (the one that comes with the phone).
Once I tried it in my brother's Samsung (which runs Android) to test out the volume and call buttons. They all functioned as play/pause buttons. But since then my Trophy won't do anything if I press them. The earpieces are OK, and the phone turns on when I plug the headset in.
What can I do? Is it possible to somehow reset the headset or something like that?
Got the exact same problem here.
Don't think that a hardreset will solve that probleme - as I flashed a few days a go a new ROM - and I still have the problem. Don't know how to fix it tough..

[Q] Degauss labs 'Dual Driver', 3 button headset volume not working

I just got my Degauss Labs 'Dual Driver' android headphones for my Z1 Compact. Problem is, the volume controls don't work. Volume up seems to work semi-well, but a volume down click results in a long consecutive press. I read some people have a similar problem with the Sony STH30-headphones, but I haven't come across a solution.
So far, I've:
Tried the headphones in a Galaxy Note and Sony Z3, and the headset and controls work fine.
Uninstalled Smartkey, emptied the data from and disabled Smart Connect, restarted, installed Degauss software, and tested - no dice.
Completely re-installed the phone with Sony Companion - no dice
Checked the 3,5 mm port for obstructions - nothing.
Power off, blasted port with precision cleaner, let dry, test - no dice.
Unfortunately I haven't found a co-worker with a 3 button headset for an Android phone, so I haven't been able to test that out. I also don't have a similar headset at home.
I would greatly appreciate any insight on what the problem might be? Thank you for your time.

Update:
Tried the headset in another Z1 Compact, and it works fine. Decided it's a hardware problem, since full reinstall didn't help.
Sent it to repairs, where they replaced the audio jack and side keyflex. Got it back, and the problem still persists. I guessed it is some deeper rooted issue, so I sent it back. Repairs gave up, and decided to pull the "didn't receive customers headset, cannot replicate"-card, so they didn't do anything to it. Will have to take it up with them again.

Orio update made my 3t useless

I had updated to orio, and suddenly my mic gain was lost. and another problem i am facing is my pc not recognise the device anymore.
I had tried with a headphone, still mic not working.
Then tried with a blutooth mic, worked.
Replaced the mic and charging port strip.
Nothing got solved
Really orio update made my 3t useless.
Even tried downgrading to noughat.. Still no change
