hdmi to rgb-scart via slimport - Nexus 7 (2013) Accessories

The slimport outputs in 720p via hdmi?
is there any device that can then take that signal and convert it to 576i or 480i to be used on a rgb-scart cable on a SD TV? basically a HDMI to RGB-Scart converter device.

HDMI to DVI

Re-visiting this because I didn't get a definitive answer on HDMI to DVI output on all the other post. I have used the Samsung HDMI adapter to watch Netfix, movies on device, and anything on the device on an HDMI monitor and a HD TV and it works great with no problems. Has anyone successfully used a HDMI to DVI cable, with this device? I have an Optima Projector with VGA and DVI inputs. I have tried an expensive $60 HDMI to DVI cabe and a generic $15 one and niether works when attached to the Samsung HDMI adapter. I'm just getting a "No Source Found" message on the projector. Any help is appreciated.
Hmm,
HDMI is a digital only standard. DVI is both digital and analog (has pins for both). A HDMI to DVI cable converts to the digital DVI standard. If your projector does not see the signal, I suspect it is hard wired for analog DVI. To connect to such a device you will need an active converter box that converts the digital HDMI to analog DVI or VGA.

I have also tried using an HDMI to DVI adapter with my LCD monitor that I normally use with my laptop, doesn't work. I think somehow the adapter prevents the HDMI out thing from realizing that there's something connected on the other side. Interestingly enough, HDMI to VGA adapters do work, I imagine because it's an active adapter that puts a load on the output so the tablet knows to output a signal.

Hdmi to dvi audio

Hey quick question, i wanna connect my phone to a lcd computer monitor i have, I already have the samsung hdmi out cable and was thinking of getting a dvi to hdmi cable since the monitor doesnt support hdmi. My problem is that dvi doesnt support audio. so, are there any cheap dvi to hdmi cables that have an audio out? or is there some way of letting the phone output video over hdmi and sending the audio through the headphone slot like normal?

[Q] Possible to connect HDMI and ext HDD simultaneously?

O great ones, your sage advice would be very much appreciated.
The following items are in the picture :
2013 Nexus 7
1TB hard drive (NTFS)
OTG cable
Slimport to HDMI adapter (and HDMI cable, of course)
Nexus Media Importer
Sony Bravia HDTV
Is there any way to connect both the HDD and the HDMI cable simultaneously? We can play most things to the TV via DLNA (BubbleUPnP), but a less finicky setup would be to have the HDD and the HDMI connected to the Nexus, without any DLNA in the picture. Of course there is only one slimport jack...
Any suggestions?

Can I use a usb to mhl on a xbr900e?

To clarify, I am wanting to know if it is possible to output video from a smart tv xbr900e using the TVs hdmi 3.0 port. USB-> MHL adapter -> to hdmi on another monitor. The tv screen is broke and I'm wanting to integrate the tv main board to a custom pc build that is a massive media desk. (Plenty of space)
If not, is there any way to output video from tv using ethernet cable? Thanks!
