I am asking about the risks of flashing INU (INDIAN) firmware on my UAE vrsn. of note 2.

Well if your warranty has ended there is no issue. But even if your warranty is remaining you can download Knox free 4.3 firmware from dev section and flash it via Odin.In this case,if you face any issue further on you can safely downgrade to the older firmware.

[Q] Update to Official 4.3 via Kies (or other)

Its to my understanding that samsung released the 4.2 update for the galaxy note 2. I have the international verison. When I connect my device to kies it doesnt recognize my firmware version. I think they have been rolling out based on country my concern is that because it is an international verison and the only news that I've heard about the update for that note 2 in the U.S is the carrier verisons, is there a way to update officially?

Wait for it to come out for your country and flash it with odin.
You can check here: www.samfirmware.com/ or here: http://samsung-updates.com/
Keep in mind that you will get the new KNOW boot-loader and the up-mentioned update is 4.3 not 4.2.x

I forgot that 4.2 was skipped. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep a look out.

Is there any issue of I download firmware from sammobile for India region and install on my note 2? My phone is rooted. Please check the attached picture for my build and details. Little guidance is appreciated as I'm still newbie.

Will Samsung ever release 4.3 to Note 2 GSM in Europe?

Because I have no clue... :silly:
Flash another country's 4.3 stock rom via odin... and when your country gets the update, you can flash your country's stock rom from odin and it will not trigger your knox counter

[firmware]•[samsung note 2 lte]●regional sammobile firmware question

Hi people, just a quick question.
If I download firmware that is NOT yet been released on my carrier, am I able to flash it via PC (ODIN) without having to root etc...?
Im trying to avoid rooting if possible. Unfortunately every carrier in the UK apart from 3UK has pushed the 4.3 update for Note 2 LTE (N7105)
Im slightly impatient and thought maybe I could just download another carrier (eg. Vodafone) and flash it without and implications.
Any answers would be much help. Sorry of this is the wrong section.
Peace. Match

Can I flash Dutch firmware on a Bosnian model?

Hi!
I use the Note 2 bought in Bosnia for BHT network.
Now I moved to The Netherlands and I can't use the local network because it's locked to the Bosnian network. The standard method of unlocking doesn't work because they seem to have found a way around it on 4.4.2 update.
I am now flashing a 4.1.1. or 4.1.2 on it in attempt to unlock it, and then update up to 4.4.2.
I'm wondering if I can simply flash the Dutch software on it, since I'm here now.
Note: it's a N7100 version.
Boot into download mode and check the real model of the phone before attempting any flashing. ...most note 2 phones have n7100 as their model but they are not.

It's GT-N7100. Does that mean I can flash any other country's firmware on it?
