[Q] Problem with kindle fire pls help me.

I accidentally deleted kindle fire system files and now i can do anything.
Is any way to reload operating system from scratch?
I am stuck on kindle fire logo try everything help help help

Deleting files from the system folder only affects the current rom(or as you call it, operating system) and doesn't affect ADB or the TWRP recovery program. You can use TWRP to install a new rom, even the stock Kindle rom.
I can't post links, so search google for "kindle fire software update" and you should find amazon's page to download the latest stock rom for the kindle fire. Rename the file to update.zip and transfer it to the storage on your kindle. You can then use TWRP to select the zip file and re-install the stock kindle rom. This WILL break your root, so use the Kindle Fire utility that's linked in the development forum if you want to re-root your kindle.
If you don't have TWRP installed, try using the Kindle Fire Utility (in the development forum) to install TWRP or recover your kindle fire. I hope this helps!

The kindle its not mine it belongs to my boss.He tried to root it deleted some files i think its not rom problem but something else.Is any way to load rom and install it from the pc.can't access kindle the only thing i find on my pc is a winre drive with 2 files sources and boot.sdi.i try everything all utilties on internet all suggentions but nothing.TWRP is a utility that runs from device or pc?

TWRP is the recovery program that you can boot into before the rom loads. You can use the Kindle Fire Utility to install TWRP. If the kindle fire utility isn't working, you can try installing TWRP manually, but you will also need to install FireFireFire, which is the boot loader that replaces the stock kindle loader and allows you to boot into TWRP.
The most important thing is to have ADB access. If you can plug the kindle fire into your PC and get ADB working, you can fix pretty much anything.

you should get a response from one of the commands

I have to mention when in b63 post where your in the tools folder it easier to right click inside that folder in an empty space within it, and then press the keyboard's shift key for an option from the right clicked dropdown to open a command prompt window right there. Then type adb devices followed by enter key. Optimum would be a device ##000000000 sorta output in that tiny window , whereas then you could close it and click run in the kindle fire utility from the download. You can see more options to root your device to here with "status info".

You're getting confused with how adb and fastboot work. I suggest reading this to get a better understanding.

Thanks, I have read it like 3 times, it's just a little confusing for someone dealing with rooting for the first time. What I get is that I need to get the KF come up on Windows so I can paste the rom into the KF and that the KF needs to be in fastboot to install the rom.
Anyway, now the Kindle shows up on KFU as "online" and the bootmode is "4000", but still nothing comes up on the explorer. Twrp is installed and I'm able to load it, but I did not make a Backup. How can I install the system again?

If twrp is installed when you boot into it click on mount, then click mount usb, this is the only way it's going to show up as a mass storage device on your pc so that you can transfer a rom over to it.

Put both zips on your sdcard in zip form, wipe factory/data reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, wipe system, flash rom zip, flash gapps zip, reboot then system if prompted.

Trying to root Kindle Fire

I have downloaded Kindle Fire Utility 0.9.6. After I installed the drivers, the kindle icon on device manager changed to Android Phone - Android ADB Interface. I then ran run.bat and it says that ADB Status: Offline and Boot Status: Unknown. I have tried searching the web for answers, but I could not find the answer to my problem. I tried to just run permanent root with superuser, but after two initial downloads, it was stuck on waiting on device for FFF. I need help please.

Installing Windows drivers is a basic task that every Windows user should be comfortable with. I would suggest searching Google for an answer to that question. The TWRP link is bad. You need to replace the twrp.img file that comes with KFU, with the actual TWRP.img downloaded from the TWRP website.

1) Download KFU from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399889
2) Before you start rooting ur device.. do the below
3) Extract the util.. run the install_drivers.bat.. this will help you install the drivers..
4) Once it is successfully done..follow the steps outlined in the document attached below (install drivers for ur kindle.docx)
5) Next step is to root ur device and install the google framework and market
6) To root your device.. run run.bat.. select option 2 to install the root.. it might take sometime and will restart the kindle and notify you
7) to install the google apps..run option 6 and then select 1.. sit back and watch the magic happen
This should help you.. let me know if you are not able to do it.. it will good if you can tell me in which step you are facing trouble

The problem that I have is that on device manager, after I install the drivers, "kindle" becomes "android phone - android composite adb interface", but when I run "run.bat", it is still saying adb status: offline and boot status: unknown. I tried updating the drivers anyways, but the problem is still not resolved.

Don`t make any slections till your drivers are right . It might be something simple that is making it appear offline here is some info on a manual installation http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/12/13/how-to-install-kindle-fire-adb-usb-driver/.

Ahh, I think I just bricked my Kindle Fire. It is now stuck on "kindlefire" splash screen and it is not recognizable by my computer. I was following the steps by installing Java Development Kit and then Android SDK Tools.After following those steps, I tried running "run.bat" and now it says the ADB Status is "Online", but still "Unknown" for boot status. Now stupidly, I thought what the hey, it's online now, so I ran the 2nd option and after it did some installing, it told me to press any button to exit. After that, the kindle fire restarted by itself, and so I clicked on "run.bat" again and now there is no menu at all. Then I look over at my kindle fire and see that it is stuck on the screen. I need help please!

Leave it connected and hold the power button till its off then power it back on then select change bootmodes in kfu select normal and wait it should boot normal if not hold the power button till off then back on.

Has anyone tried it?
I have only just picked up my KF8.9, but have successfully rooted it. However, chickened out of installing the 2ndBootloader and TWRP as it seems that some people say it still works and some people say it doesn't.
Don't want to brick my shiny new toy, and don't know enough about these devices to know if the existing guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2128175) is still correct for 8.4.3.
Any info appreciated.

If trying to accomplish this under Windows, the key is to have the proper USB driver for your device installed AND ADB communication working. Once I managed to confirm this, I used KF First Aide to install the 2nd bootloader + TWRP under 8.4.3 without any issues.

How did you confirm that you had the proper USB driver installed?
Currently with the drivers I have:
I can see my Kindle in Windows explorer
I can see my device as an "ADB Device"
When the Kindle is off I can type "fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product" to put my device into Fastboot
Is that about it?

ADB is working just fine for me under 8.4.3 but each and every time I attempt to install the 2nd bootloader and TWRP it red screens on me. Could you tell me the steps you followed with KF First Aide in order to get it to work? I can't seem to find information here at all.

You can install the proper USB drivers with option 12. in KFF, or manually by following instructions described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069117
You can also check ADB communication with option 11. in KFF. If a device ID is displayed, you are in business.

I simply used option 41. in KFF. You need to be rooted first, use option 21. in KFF to do this. You may be prompted to manually grant permission to SU on your Kindle, so don't just run this and leave the tablet alone to go for a cup of coffee...

to fix it i used a homemade factory/fastboot cable turned off the kindle and used option "25. Restore The Kindle From The KindleBackup Folder" then plugged in the kindle to the pc and said yes only to the boot partition one and it booted up fine. You would have to have made a backup to your pc first.

i can repzair and go back to normal but every time i try to install any rom i get a red screen.
tried the redscreenfix but that doesnt work either.

maybe try to downgrade to 8.1.4 i think there is an issue with newer versions

tried that as well but 2 things happen
1. fireflash says that its NOT 8.14
2. red screen still happens

Well I am at this point myself. Just ran Option 41 and ended up with a Red Screen.
KFHD8.9
OS 8.4.3
Rooted w/ Bin4ry v30
Android SDK installed in Win7 PC; ADB communication working fine with Kindle
ADB and Fastboot were working fine per KFFirstAide
executed KFFirstAide option 41... Kindle went into Fastboot mode and then rebooted into Red Screen.
Any ideas on next steps?

I didn't have the Android SDK installed, as I used the ADB drivers provided through KFF. Perhaps going back to 8.4.1 (from backed-up .img files) or an earlier version and start from there?

Well, I cleared the red screen. Went back to fastboot and reinstalled backup images. Now... to start over ! I'll get it soon.... if I don't run out of Scotch first.

Uggg.... I just want cm10.1 but I have no idea on how to install 2nd bootloader and twrp without bricking I know the methods, but they don't work on 8.4.3... But everyone who tries on 8.4.3 bricks. I need help!

The device has to be in fastboot mode to show up via fastboot.exe
Regarding your issues flashing the bootloader/TWRP, try using FireFlash, an apk that automates the process of flashing the exploitable bootloader and TWRP, using the freedom boot.img and TWRP files from the thread you mentioned in your post They can be anywhere on the device storage.
Stick the FireFlash apk on the device storage, install it with ES File Manager, plug in the freedom boot.img into the boot slot and the TWRP img into the recovery slot, check the box to flash 8.1.4 bootloader if you aren't already using it (red letters will warn you if you aren't) and check apply stack override. also check disable auto recovery update. execute the flash, and you're done.You can also use FireFlash to easily update TWRP later on if you like.

If you are not seeing the blue logo, then the 2nd-bootloader / freedom boot / twrp img is not installed correctly.
I will post a small set of instructions in a few mins. But they require you have a working fastboot connection.

apparently neither do fastboot adb recognizes the device!
how can I check better?

What operating system are you using on your computer?
If using Windows 7 or 8: are your Kindle HD 8.9 drivers up to date? Check this thread out to uninstall and reinstall the proper drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069117 (it references another thread that helps uninstall "phantom" device drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37733595&postcount=361)

My point is that it is crucial to have proper drivers present and working BEFORE you even get into fastboot mode.
I would recommend you go back and re-read Hashcode's thread. Back up your system files before modifying anything, so you can go back if anything goes wrong.

but if something goes wrong, without the fastboot mode you can not recover anything the same right?
Surely my mistake was not to test the fastboot. Why can not I work in the device?? for drivers?

I think my kindle volume button is broken. Every time I reboot the device it always enter safe mode.
I reflash the device to stock but the problem still appear, now I want to back to custom rom but I cannot get in to TWRP (the volume up button not working) so I stuck at blue logo.
Fastboot and ADB still working.
Is there any way to install CM10.1 using fastboot/adb only without TWRP?

You can still get into twrp without using volume button, you just need to run adb on your PC with your kindle connected and adb enabled as follows:
adb reboot recovery
Or try
adb shell "su -c 'reboot recovery'"
If it is the second one u can run it from a mobile terminal app on the kindle, just take off the adb shell part.
Once you have cm installed I know for a fact you can reboot into recovery from the shutdown menu, but u have to enabled developer stuff on cm after u flash it. You can tell I'm half asleep when I can't remember the proper term and say "stuff"... Anyways if you want feel free to try what I suggested or search around for what I suggested. I am going to bed.

TWRP problem
Hello people
First of all thanks Hashcode for putting so much effort into it
I ran into a little bit of problem
First off regarding the BLUE LOGO
I first get ORANGE then BLUE n then ORANGE again with the animation
Second regarding TWRP
I can't seem to get into recovery while pressing the volume up button
It gives me a bad boot kinda error n then takes me to Fastboot mode
I hope you guys can help me out with this

Thanks to the above post i was able to enter recovery
Now it gives me two options
1 reboot kindle
2 reset to factory defaults

You apparently didn't follow the instructions in the 2nd bootloader thread very well because you seem to have skipped a step.

To further explain what soupmagnet means, you didn't flash twrp to your recovery, that's the stock amazon recovery and is completely useless.

Hello everyone , I had put aside my kindle fire hd 8.9 . I decided to fix it.
Only blue writing , I can get are in TWRP , inside there is no longer anything . Can anything be done ?
When I start adb devices the result is
123456789abcdef recovery .
Some time ago I do not remember what came to be combined with this .

Sounds like ADB's working on your device. In TWRP, are you able to access your device as if it were a USB drive when you plug it into your computer? Also, can you please identify what version of TWRP you're running?

I believe those would be your backups from Amazon's stock ROM. Also, your TWRP is a bit out-of-date. Go ahead and download the files from Hashcode's thread, flash them as directed in step #5, and reboot into TWRP. From there, you should be able to directly transfer ROM zips from your computer to the Kindle. Hope this helps!

I want to proceed with the new installation of 12 cm and gapps.
In the commands you get this error:

error: unauthorized device. Please check the confirmation dialog on you device.
What do I do?

Go into TWRP, tap Advanced -> ADB sideload, and then swipe to sideload. In your command prompt, type adb sideload ROM.zip, where the ROM.zip file is the location of your desired ROM to flash to the kindle. When that finishes, repeat that process for any other zips you want to flash.

I made a bad impression .

I was back to the original version of kindle.
Now I have started the fastboot and remade step 5 you provided me.
the result is only the orange logo and no logo blue.

when I have the original version amazon kindle updated to 8.5.1.
I tried to go into fastboot and repeat step 5.
The result is ok but at the restart nothing happens!

I tried all over again.
step 1 is wrong: he says that does not find the files
Step 3 second line is wrong.
step 4 is wrong
Step 5 ok
result: Orange logo and that's it.
tips?

All resolved. First you have to have permission to root! Now I was able to install everything! Thank you!
