Information
Let's face it, Android 4.3 is still a great build and you don't need to be on 4.4, there are issues with that ROM too that developers like myself had to work out (camera sucked, distorted volume sounds, SD card permissions, and the list goes on), if you are suffering from reboots, This build is for you and has plenty of goodies to keep you going.
This is the latest and final 4.3 build for the I9505-G Google Edition S4 official from Google/Samsung, It's a very clean base, I have made quite a few optimizations to the ROM and added the tools necessary to give it the features (100% working features that is) of an AOSP ROM, Google edition does not use open source proprietary which mean's Bluetooth, and most importantly the camera will work way better out of the box since Samsung builds this ROM (Full HDR support, 1080p video recording, no green lines on the front cam), This ROM is a perfect daily driver for users who are experiencing reboots on 4.4 due to the modem/bootloader issues on certain phones.

Xposed + Gravity box
it's not a surprise to me anymore when I visit the XDA website and a spotlight on an xposed module is featured, ever wonder why that is? because it's just that good!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Save those hardware buttons! Use LMT Launcher
Lets face it, the more you press that home button the faster the flex cable is going to malfunction, one thing you can do is find some sort of gesture launcher, LMT launcher is free, frequently updated and offers a ton of customization. 1 swipe up from the bottom and I can 1) turn the screen off 2) home button 3) multitask 4)quick settings 5)notification panel
my pie
pie 1 - key - 26 (this turns off screen)
pie 2 - home
pie 3 - key- 187 (this enables multitasking menu without graphical glitch using non root method)
pie4 - notification pulldown
pie5 - quicksettings

build is up, 6am in Canada but I wanted to build something extremely stable that will work for ALL PHONES and not carry the bloat of touchwiz, This build is mainly for those phones that just won't play nice on 4.4 atm, I will do whatever it takes to push out good ROMs that EVERYONE can enjoy
remember

Then the ROM developer had no idea what they were doing or you just flashed wrong?, Battery will be good on this build if flashed via my instructions in the OP

This is the best 4.3 GE ROM for me The only "problem" i have encountered with ALL 4.3 GE ROMs is that Skype causes battery drain. It doesn't really close when you sign out and stays in memory receiving wake events and you have it close it with a task manager app. Any idea to fix this behavior?

Battery life is great here!!! That's not surprise ) As I remember, from all 4.3 GE ROMs only Jamal's had bad battery life.

Trust me, you don't need "Operation Killjoy" on GE. in most cases init.d scripts like that are out dated and actually do more harm then good
just enjoy the ROM bud, it's a perfect daily driver for someone who wants GE with features and no RANDOM REBOOTS (4.4)

Hangs on unlocking simcard
Hi
Thanks for the Rom. I installed with full wipe as instructed in the OP. My phone boots normally but hangs on the notification "unlocking sim card". The Lte connection however seems to work as the indicator shows. I have rebooted the phone a few times but that didn't solve it.
I am on the pre knox bootloader.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Rene

carrier issue? never seen this

Hi,
first of all, thanks for your work! I'm interested on this ROM, but concerned about camera picture quality. I read before on AndroidPolice that the google experience S4 actually had a much worse picture quality, all due to the camera app. Does this ROM improve that in any manner? How do the pictures compare to the stock TW camera app?
Thanks!

The camera is this build uses stock samsung drivers so quality will not be an issue here The features of the camera app are not as plentiful as the touchwiz camera but any 3rd party app will work perfectly to solve that if it is a problem, AOSP roms have the camera issues since they use open source drivers

I had until this rom no problem with sim-cards. The sim card will be unlocked in the background but the phone hangs then..
Only restart to recovery and delete the cache helps me..
I can confirm that this build have a good camera quality and every thing is smooth.
Thank you.

4.4 mini-FAQ
Q) Root doesn't work!
A) From a clean build you need to enable root access for Superuser itself. This is different from 4.2.2 in which Superuser by default had root access on a new install. To do this, go to Settings -> Developer options -> Root access. If an app attempts to request root access before Superuser itself has access, it may cause problems with that app in the future where root requests are silently denied.
Q) Titanium Backup isn't restoring apps!
A) Change the backups folder to storage/emulated/legacy.
Known Issues
Navigation bar recents button sometimes needs to be pressed twice
Lockscreen when carousel animation is enabled dragging the camera icon messes the animation
Icons on global menu are sometimes a bit distored....not much
Network mode tile does not always work
WOHOO!!!!! WELCOME BACK!!!!!
Glad to see this. Only might want to name thread SlimKat not SlimBean. You know, since it's 4.4.1

Power it off and let it charge for several hours. See if that fixes it.
I'm rubbing my eyes as I can't believe what I'm reading! Wow! Can't wait to give this a go! Sadly, it could be a few days before I have time to go slimkat.

Nice ROM so far, very nice in fact. Few things though. Doesn't read my SD Card (exFat). When you power down phone while its charging it will show battery charging screen for a few seconds then boots up. Doesn't show Galaxy S4 boot screen when it does that. When it finishes loading the phone is completely unresponsive. Only when you shut down while charging though. Not sure if it's happening to anybody else. Did a FULL wipe.

Tapatalk SlimKat 4.4.1
I have to say this. Compared to all the other custom KK ROMs I've tried, SlimKat is different. For one thing, I note the different screen configuration that, while taking some getting used to, is still something that's growing on me. I'll see how it performs battery-wise, particularly with ART enabled, but I can definitely see why this is a favorite of some Android users.
One note: Your SlimOTA keeps saying the stable build is an update to the weekly beta. Is this intentional?
Finally, one question. I do note that SlimKat uses a white title color instead of the standard teal. Is this something that can be changed or customized?
Thank you for your feedback
We know about the updater and will fix it, if you become the update message go to settings, apps, all apps , slimcenter and disable there the notification.
The white colour can't be change, only with another theme, in the future a new theme engine comes, then you can change it.

Same problem here. Running great till this happened. I turned off last night to charge. Picked up this morning and headed to work. When I touched the power button the screen came on like if it was asleep. But the screen was unresponsive. I held the power button a few seconds and it booted, well tried to. It stuck at the "galaxy s 4" splash screen. Had a hard time trying to mess with it while driving. Managed to pull the battery. Got into recovery and wiped cache/dalvik just to try. Again stuck at "galaxy s 4" splash screen. Ended up reflashing once at work(dirty flash) and got the same result. Had to restore my backup to use at work.
I'm coming over from AT&T 4.4 KitKat to see if you guys were experiencing my issues and it looks like you are.
Booting up to the lockscreen and the screen doesn't recognize swipes or presses of fingers. Only happens when rebooting while charging.
And of course, the getting stuck at Galaxy S4 splash screen which is happening on AOSP & stock 4.4. But more on AOSP it seems.

Oddly enough, I have yet to see this.
On 4.3, I had a few times with getting stuck at the splash screen, which was presumably a kernel issue.
Builds are currently using CM's kernel. Try Ktoonsez's for the time being. Quite a few modifications and reverts between all the kernels lately. It'll take some time.

*It will take a few minutes to boot the first time. After the ROM boots, let it settle for a few minutes.
Enjoy.

12-27-2013 Initial release based on CNexus' Stock 4.3 MK3 ROM.
Stable build works great with no issues that I'm aware of.
Mostly stock with aosp themeing
The calendar app theme still needs to be finished though.
***The only issues that I know of are 1)Sprint VVM apk wont update to a newer version for some reason. But it works fine. 2)The Google keyboard doesn't work but the other 2 keyboards available work fine. To get the Google keyboard working, uninstall it with TB and get it from the Playstore. HERE
-----------------------------------------------------------
Thanks:
*Danvdh for Dandroid and all he does for the community
*digiblur for the new base (especially the 1x signal display mod)

EXTRAS:
-If anyone wants the new reboot menu, flash THIS in recovery. (Included in 2.1)
-This comes with the stock Samsung GS3 keyboard but here is the Note 2 Keyboard for 4.3 if anyone wants it.
-Here you can DL the Sony Walkman for Dandroid.
**Here are 3 weather widgets with CM 10.2 weather icons. Just flash in recovery.

**3 different silhouette options
I've been using the Vrtheme zip given to me by @tdunham in the MOAR thread and have come up with a Silhouette Changer. There are 3 zips with 3 options. 4.1.2 TW stock, Light aosp and Dark aosp (Dark is default for Dandroid). Flash in recovery. I've tested this using CWM and expect it will work on all 4.3 ROMs.
4.1.2 stock TW
Light aosp
Dark aosp (Dandroid Default)

*A short note on using wanam
Wanam xposed module is a great tool. But in order for it to do its magic it takes the native csc/features.xml and backs it up by renaming it "features.xml.bak" and replaces it with it's own. This is fine but the result is that some of the options native to this ROM are changed. Like the camera shutter sound option in the camera settings and the keyboard symbols available in the samsung keyboard for example. So if you choose to use wanam and a feature you didn't count on changing is different, thats what happened.
Disclaimer: Flash at your own risk!
*It is important to note that there may be additional issues I don't know about and as I am a truck driver, not a programmer I may or may not be able to fix things.
Everyone is encouraged to do what ever you like with anything I post, but a little credit would be appreciated.

looks great!
Thanks Dan. I'm using a port of your d2tmo right now planning how to implement more of your work here. Right now the only issue I can't figure out is the torch light doesn't work yet. (Yet!)

I've added a "test build" for folks to try. It has additional features I'm trying to work out.
12-27-2013 Test build includes:
Modified Settings
App Ops
4.4 Clock
CM 4.4 Calculator
4way reboot menu
Bluetooth tethering hack (untested)
Added Flashlight/Torch toggle in quicksettings (Awesome!)
Google Wallet (untested)
Multiwindow all apps enabled (buggy)
Know problems:
System Update FCs
Torch light option in settings doesn't work
Voice dialer doesn't have a voice(?)
Usage manager FCs (will likely just remove it)
Titanium Backup FC (Never had that problem before)
I've been in a roaming area all day so I don't know if Data is working. Wifi is great and calling both in and out are fine.
Titanium Backup having FC problems latest update. Nothing to do with your ROM.
Getting FCs when accessing my personal profile in Contacts.

Looks sweet will have to check this out after work!

nice! downloading now, if it's anything like the previous version of dandroid I'm sure it will be great

Which version are you on? I'm using the test version and just accessed my personal profile without any problems.
I'll be installing this when I get home!

121 DLs so far. I guess the lack of chatter in here indicates no complaints? I have a new build I'm testing tonight. If it goes well I'll likely release it tomorrow. It includes more AOSP apks and a different settings apk. I will let everyone know how it goes. I'd really like it if folks let me know what you think so far. What do you like? Do you think the quick settings look ok? In the 4.1.2 version of Dandroid they were grey when off and white when on. Now they are white when off and blue when on. I like it just wondering what others think.
Added a new build in the OP:
Change log:
Changed settings apk which added,
SEAndroid control (not sure what it does),
App ops
Notification history
Torch light option (not working yet)
Also changed;
CM 4.4 Calculator
4.4 Clock
4.4 Email
Torch
4way reboot menu (Previous menu was 3 way)
Updated SuperSU
Added AdFree
And debloated a little more
Please let me know what you all think. I've been trying to figure out why the Torch light wont work!? I'll keep working on it. I'm also learning about Aroma so in future builds folks can have more options about what to install. Really looking forward to that!
Enjoy
had some problems with contacts force closing if i clicked on a person's name (to try and forward vcard info for example)
also i was having some issues with mobile data... sometimes it seemed like it was working, then all of a sudden i had full bars but no data.
i tried going into the sprint connection optimizer but that force closed too.
i didn't really have time to investigate it, i was thinking maybe I just needed to update the profile, but i just restored 4.1 dandroid.
The connection manager is not included. Thats why it FCed in settings. I dont trust it myself but I'll put it back in the next build. Im not sure about the contacts issue. I havent had trouble with that myself but someone else mentioned it earlier. Which version did were you on?
Edit: If anyone wants to add the connection manager, dl http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23269279319199871 and move it with your favorite file explorer to device/system/app. Set permissions to rw-r-r and reboot. It'll probably give you a toast message telling you its not ready at first but just let it settle in and after a while it'll be ready.
Edit 2: ok I've finally been able to replicate the contacts issue. It was ok until I edited my profile so if folks avoid that for now I expect itll be ok until I can get a log cat. Thanks uf20wop for pointing this out. Ive disabled the dl link for the new build for now.
I too am having issues with contacts FCing and no mobile data. I'm also not a fan of the lock screen or the system ui noises. I can always change those, though. Aside from that, I really like this rom.
---------- Post added at 01:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:36 PM ----------
I've also just realized that I'm not on the MK3 modem. I don't know if that would make a difference, but I'm going to go flash that and see if mobile data comes back.
Edit:
I believe that may have done the trick.

From experience and a lot of user complaints with other roms. I would recommend full wipes including internal storage especially if coming from 4.1.2. And updated modem.

Credit where credit is due:
As with any open source stuff, some of this work is my own, most of it comes from other sources. So in addition to my own work (mostly in the "mean" category), here's a quick thanks to those of you who contributed knowingly (thank you) and not-so-knowingly via open source 5 finger discount (thank you just the same: your stuff is good and that's why I used it). Sometimes it's not entirely obvious where the source started so if I missed someone, please let me know and I'll add you. Also, I'm careful to only include other work where the author does not specify any usage restrictions or has given approval. If you believe, however, that I've included something that shouldn't be in this ROM, please just PM me.
Credit krowley3: I used your Sophisticated ROM as a base (thanks for the offer!)!
Other credits: I list them in the features section above and give links to the original works so you can donate to other devs for specific mods you like!
Want my stuff?:
I list credits in the features section above and links to original works: if you see something credited there and you want to use it, click the link and seek permission from the developer I've credited. If you see something in this ROM and I don't reference some other source, I probably coded it myself. If you want it: take it and use it in your ROM, your theme, whatever you like. I just ask that you please credit me. I'm a firm believer in Android and open source so you don't even have to ask. Anything you see here... it's yours for just the price of a simple line crediting me. I always share as I believe that's the way we developers put the power in Android... and one way we can fight "the Apple brainwashing machine".
Below are some pointers on updating your firmware, installing recoveries, modding, etc. before we get to the good stuff (installation and downloads).
CHANGELOG:
See post #2
Problems after you flash?:
PLEASE DO NOT REPORT PROBLEMS IN THIS THREAD UNTIL you've done a full wipe and fresh install to see if that cures it. I know I should really just do like most devs and proclaim REQUIRES FULL WIPE/FRESH INSTALL on every version. That saves me a lot of headaches but I know what a PITA a fresh install can be even with MyBackup or Titanium at your disposal. So it never hurts to try just a flash without a full wipe, but if you run into any HINT of a problem... anything at all... don't report the problem in this thread until you've tried a full wipe and fresh install first to see if that cures the problem!
Installation - a final note:
First, the usual disclaimers. I supply the ammo, you use it. ROMS don't kill phones, n00bs do. Use this ROM at your own risk as I won't be responsible for bricks or any other untoward happenings. I spent a lot of time ensuring that the stuff in this ROM is fast, smooth, and compatible. But... it always helps to have some familiarity with flashing ROMs to keep yourself safe.
Download links are below
Now to installation of the ROM itself...
Always make a Nandroid backup before installing anything on your phone!
On first install of MeanBean Reborn, do a full wipe
Install using recovery (I use latest CWM)
Once booted, set up phone and accounts
To get Apns to show;
Dial *#*#4636#*#*, select GSM only, let it register, then go back to GSM/LTE
Add APN
Tick light effect in lockscreen settings if desired for special lockscreen!!
Enjoy
... you're gonna break it!
Don't flash any other mods, tweaks, or themes unless they specifically say they are built for (the latest version of) MeanBean or you WILL break features in this ROM and/or cause instability! While this ROM is designed to have the general look/feel of the stock ROM, it is highly customized under the hood and mods, tweaks, or themes not designed specifically for this ROM will cause problems. If you want this ROM to run perfectly without any issues, do not flash anything on top.

Flashable ZIP in /sdcard/MeanBean_Reborn to restore stock toggles/brightness
Zero battery drain extended screen-off volume controls - usage
The volume buttons on the left side of the phone can be used to perform special functions when the screen is turned off. Because this is a modification to the framework and the code is never executed until you press the volume keys with the screen off, it uses zero battery unlike some of the apps you find on Google Play that are always running in the background, draining your battery as they monitor key status. Usage is as follows:
TAP for volume: Simply tap volume up/down to increase/decrease volume.
LONG PRESS to skip tracks: Press and hold volume up/down for 0.5 second (but not more than 1 second) to skip to next/prev. track.
VERY LONG PRESS to play/pause: Press and hold volume up/down for 1 second (but not more than 2 seconds) to skip to next/prev. track.
HOLD to turn torch light on/off: Press and hold volume up/down for at least 2 seconds to turn torch light on/off.
Once you get a feel for the timing, it's very easy to operate!
Turning off Zero Wake Lag
If you want maximum battery life and you don't mind the screen-on delay, you can turn off the ZWL mod. Use Root Explorer or ES File Explorer and open /system/build.prop with /system in R/W mode. Then locate this line at the very bottom of the file:
Code:
meanbean.opt.zerowakelag=true
Change to this:
Code:
meanbean.opt.zerowakelag=false
Turning on Music Notifications
By default, notification sounds don't play while you are listening to music so that your music is not being constantly interrupted by notifications from your email, Kik Messenger, text messaging app, SnapChat and other apps that use push notifications. Notifications work normally when no music is playing. Most people prefer to listen to music without these constant interruptions and without having to resort to airplane mode or turning notification volume all the way down manually. If you do want notification sounds, however, you can turn them on so that they play even during music by making the following change in the build.prop file. Use Root Explorer or ES File Explorer and open /system/build.prop with /system in R/W mode. Then locate this line at the very bottom of the file:
Code:
meanbean.opt.musicnotify=false
Change to this:
Code:
meanbean.opt.musicnotify=true

Otherwise it barks at me for not having a Verizon SIM.

The one I did it Setup Wizard version 1.0. It's a big red check mark in Apps. 196kb in size.

-rw-r--r-- root root 924003 2008-08-01 05:00 SetupWizard.apk
I don't think this is the same one I've turned off.

Beanstalk 4.4.4065 - 10/8/14
Built for the Galaxy Note 10.1 (N8013)
I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by Scott.Hart.Bti.
This is a build composed off the CM11 builds, and there have been a lot features added on top of it.
So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability.
Many of the additional code additions came from Slim ROM and also Derteufels build,
and have been modified to work with Beanstalk.
A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication.
Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project.
BeanStalk is always evolving, new features coming in, bugs being ironed out.
Thanks to @skyliner33v for the boot animation and upcoming wallpapers!

***Also, @pimpmaneaton is doing some work on a project called Co-Beanstalk.
He deserves credit for adding OmniSwitch (an awesome app thanks to OmniRom),
adding the new XPosed installer on its own separate tab,
changing the look of the Beanstalk options menu a little,
and adding the black Beanstalk boot animation.
All of the above is included in this build.
Co-Beanstalk source: https://github.com/Co-BeanStalk
I am also working on a build with @pimpmaneaton's DracoKernel, and will post it once I confirm everything is working.
READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY!!!!
I am NOT responsible for anything that happens to your device in the process of flashing, or at any other time for that matter. Please have some knowledge of flashing custom roms and setting things up.
I can confirm this build works on the Galaxy Note N8013 edition ONLY!! I do not have the N8000 or any other tablet to test it on.
If someone does want to test this rom on the N8000 or another variation, and it does work, please post the so other users will know, and I can update the post.
But again, this is your choice and I will not take responsibility for anything that happens to your tablet during flashing.
As long as I have the N8013 tablet, I will be updating Beanstalk regularly, and may consider compiling other roms for it as well. I noticed we don't have many custom roms for our device, and I love Beanstalk, so that's why I decided to build.
I do have a job, and I am doing this in my free time, and because I enjoy it.
I will not tolerate any rudeness or anyone being disrespectful in this thread.
I understand there are some noobs, and I will do my best to answer any questions you have.
If you don't like the rom, that's your choice, and you can go find another one to flash, or better yet, build your own.

I recommend using PA GApps from this link -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
Pick the package that suits you or use whatever GApps package you prefer as long as it's 4.4.4.
Big thanks to @TKruzze to keeping the GApps updated for everyone.
**Flashing**
I use TWRP Recovery to flash roms from this link - http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/110
If you don't already use TWRP, but want to, you can flash it with the Flashify app from the Play Store,
Mobile Odin, or use the directions to install via your PC.
I haven't ever used CWM on my tablet, but if you are comfortable with it, you can use it to flash this rom.
Just make sure you have a custom recovery installed, because this rom won't flash with stock recovery.
This is my method of flashing:
- Boot into Recovery
- ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG!
- Do a factory reset. In TWRP, I also select "Format Data" to wipe completely clean.
If you are just upgrading from another Beanstalk 4.4 build, you shouldn't have to wipe completely
unless you had a lot of issues on the previous build.
AFTER Backup & Wipe:
- Flash Rom
- Flash GApps
- Reboot System
*Allow at least 5 minutes for it to boot the first time before thinking it has failed.
When the Welcome screen appears, I allow at least 10 minutes for the rom to settle in. I don't touch anything.
Afterwards, I set everything up.
**A Few Extra Tips**
The following are just tips from personal experience, not required.
The regular SuperUser is included in this rom, but I always download SuperSU from the Play Store.
(Thanks as always to @Chainfire for SuperSU).
Open SuperSU, and a popup will ask you to update the SU binary. Choose OK.
If it asks you to use the Normal method or the TWRP/CWM method, try Normal the first time.
If it fails, do it again and choose TWRP/CWM method.
You will get a confirmation in installed properly.
I also download BusyBox from the Play Store.
Open BusyBox, click Install on the bottom left, then Smart Install.
If you PM me with questions, please allow me a little time to answer.
You can also get me on Hangouts - [email protected]

Having some issues using Xposed on this... XHaloFloatingWindow keeps crashing the apps I try to pin to the side, and I am not able to go back to the previous build of Xposed framework.

I don't use XHalo, but when I get home, I will check it out.. Were you trying to revert by uninstalling the current XPosed and installing another version? Thanks for reporting the issue... Obviously, this is a new build and bugs are to be expected..

Is there some reason you are using XHalo instead of Halo that is built into the rom?
When I installed MWSidebarLauncher, and tried to launch an app in Halo, it only launched normally. Are you using OmniROM's Floating Window?
EDIT: I eventually found the settings to enable the built in sidebar launcher as well as Halo. But I still have issues when trying to view two apps side by side.
This is working great on my n8010 (now showing it as a n8013 lol) only issue is in settings it seems to cut off the right hand side so the sliding tabs aren't fully visible.

Can you post screenshots? I'm not exactly sure what you mean..since it's working on the 8010, I may compile for a build for it so it will show as an 8010 and not an 8013..

No, I don't use omnirom's floating window.. If I want something to open in a floating window, I swipe a notification to the left in the notification drawer.. I used to use Halo with floating window a lot, but have used omniswitch for a while, and it's so fast I don't worry about floating anymore.. There are so many settings and options in Beanstalk it takes a while to find everything lol

Ok, I understand now.. I very seldom use mine in landscape unless I'm playing Angry Birds lol... I'm going to do a new build today or tonight because some stuff was changed with the source I'm using.. I'll try to get a 8010 version out too if you would want to test it for me..

In the Xposed settings, there is a Netflix workaround.. See if that helps..
I can't find anything in xposed settings on netflix.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
If you to settings, Xposed options, on the very first screen there is a Netflix work around...
Edit: I was just informed that the Netflix workaround hasn't worked for a while... The suggestion was to use an older version of Netflix.. The dev team I joined is awesome, so once they get all other major issues fixed, they can work on the other issues.. Beanstalk will get better and better as time goes on, so just bear with us for a while..

NEW SCREENSHOT U.B-ROM 01/22/15
The keyboard is not enabled during first boot. Had to bypass setup, enable keyboard, and then setup phone manually. Other than that, most appears to be working with a few quirky bugs. Thanks for posting this so I could try 5.0 on my Note 2
This looks pretty great, and I am happy to see development moving forward with lollipop.
I have yet to try out any of the lollipop builds yet though because of some of the bugs I have seen popping up. With this release, are we at a point now where its stable enough to be considered a daily driver? Clearly all the baseband stuff is working since it looks like this can make and receive calls no problem. How about GPS? Working yet? Or is that still one of the CM bugs that has not been sorted?
Either way, I am still looking forward to trying this and will probably flash it tonight after work. I remember reading that some of these lollipop ROMS didnt play well with TWRP, can anyone confirm or deny that its working with TWRP?
It would be nice to have a list of what is not working instead of "same as cm". Looking forward to trying this out tonight.

I think what he meant was, this is a early build and the toggles are just minimal until more builds come out with more features/ toggles etc.

E-Mail Crashing
The e-mail application that comes with the ROM crashes when I attempt to view an e-mail. Is there a fix for this?
Edit: Seems that it only crashes when attempting to open an e-mail from the Combined View. Simply using the e-mail account's view does not cause a crash
Just chiming in my install experience. Loaded the rom, gapps, and su zips to external. I updated my twrp to 2.8.1.0 (mine was still in the 2.6.x.x). The flashing of cm-12.0-20141215-t0lte took longer than expected (as noted). Probably took 3 minutes to complete the flash. Gapps and su flashed right away. Don't be alarmed.
First boot after flashing, it showed the splash screen for UB for another few minutes (longer than expected but have patience).
Keyboard doesn't pop up to sign in to wifi. I skipped the sign in to wifi as well as to google. Keyboard still didn't pop out for me until I choose US Keyboard in settings (might not be needed for you). After signing in I ran some tests.
Test 1: Phone calls send & receive = Works!
Test 2: Change dpi from 320 to 240 = Works!
Test 3: Update apps through wifi = Works!
So far so good but I haven't really used it. I'll post another update if something is not working. My main DD is slimkat. I'll give this build a shot for a bit and see if I'll fully hop over. Thanks for the link.
Ok, after using this for a couple hours my opinion is that the build is probably 'alpha' stage. I'm having a battery drain issue, where I am charging over usb and still draining battery (about 1% every 4 minutes). There are no custom kernels to flash on this to change governors afaik. I've read on the other forums and they say that cm12 probably doesn't have a lollipop kernel but is using a kit kat kernel optimized for lollipop. I'm sure these will get better as the devs start working on it. I'm going back to slimkat but was fun to see what is upcoming. I experienced some camera issues (known bug and none of the fixes helped). Thanks for the link and will be looking forward to see more development on this!
How to fix 3G ? Problem is only data ...calls working fine .
And I do have correct APN
Update : after few reboots ....3g started working....so i am not sure what happened
Thank you for great ROM guy. as for me everything is working great. Instead of asking how to fix thing I search. I know this is alpha still thing will now work out the box. But the key word is search. Or wait until the developer fix problems. This is my daily driver. Thank you to all the developers who are working hard for us to get this ROM this far.

How is your battery life?
I installed this last night and normally my phone has no problem getting a full charge overnight, but it wasn't able to even do that. And I worry that it will not make it through the day today.
I realize these are early releases, but obviously it can't be a daily driver if it can't make it through the day.
Unless you maybe have some kind of trick to improve the battery life? I will search around as suggested, but sometimes it's easier just to ask.

Sipher26 do you have a link that solves the battery drain? Or if you aren't experiencing it, can you post me your battery screen? Help out if you can, this was my no 1 reason I reflashed slim.

My battery appears to be better than it was when I was on 4.4.2 but this only seems to be the case for me based on some of the threads I have read. Perhaps the ROM on the phone prior to flashing has an impact on it? My steps were as follows:
Flashed the 4.3 (MJ4) Odin
Performed a factory reset from the Settings menu
Rooted and installed TWRP 2.8.1.0
Factory reset in TWRP
Wiped cache, dalvik, system
Factory reset in TWRP one more time
Installed ROM, GAPPS and SuperSU
I have not tested everything yet but have only had 4 issues since yesterday afternoon:
Keyboard not showing during setup, fixed in settings by selecting hardware keyboard
1st phone call had low volume but volume down and up once fixed that and hasn't occurred since
1 random restart
E-mail application crashed when in Combined View and attempting to view an e-mail
This is a great ROM and am using it as my DD as I have no other issues yet Keep up the great work!

Hmmm, well you seem to be lucky then. While I didn't do quite as much as you did, I factory wiped + caches + internal storage, before installing. Had no issues installing, but something is eating my battery, and the new battery stats are really not much more helpful than the old battery stats.
I also noticed an issue with audio playback from the headphone jack, and its something I feel I have seen before on cm11 based roms. I think it has to do with when you plug the cable in. But basically, in certain circumstances, audio will only play when on the home screen. If I go back into the app thats playing the audio, I get no output. If I lock the screen, no output. It seems like if I plug in before going into the app, then leave the app open, I can lock the screen and it will continue playing fine, but if I exit the app, audio gets screwed up.
These are pretty major issues for me. I use my phone for podcasts in my car every day, and if the battery can't even last through the day, then I just can't use this as a DD. I am not complaining, I know these lollipop releases are all early alphas, but its just a shame because other than that, it is super smooth and works super well and I would love to be able to keep it on my phone.
Edit: I installed better battery stats, and from a few minutes of monitor, it seems the phone is not going into deep sleep as much as it should. I will watch it for a while and see. It also seemed that the processor was running at or near 1600mhz most of the time, which would again account for the battery life (and also why everything feels so smooth and responsive).
It did finally go into deep sleep though, so I am going to watch and see what happens. But I also read in the n7105 forum that there is another kernel available, shift kernel, which might be worth giving a try and might offer some customization options.
