[Q] Multiple users not available when an Exchange E-mail is setup - G Pad 8.3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok, so I noticed that you cannot use multiple users on the G Pad if you've setup an exchange account.
Is there a workaround for this? Or am I doing something wrong here?

I have the same problem on my LG G PAD 8.3...

I posted about this before and on Android Central. No replies. I called LG directly and spoke to me like I'm crazy, I told them to get a g pad and try it. They said they would call me back. This was 2 weeks or so ago.
Fail

Any news on this? It's driving me crazy not being able to have multiple hotmail/msn-accounts (w/ stock e-mail app). This is the only Android device I've owned with this bs limitation.

[Q] Make Google my default contact choice.

This might come as a shock to some people but primarily I use my G3 for calling people at work.
I have entered about 8 new contacts in the last week or so and these were lost when I flashed 20E.
This is because when entering a new contact with the G3 the default contact account is the phone so you have to manually change each contact to google as you enter it.
So my question is can I change the default contact account to Google and if so how?
There was a discussion about this and the conclusion was you cant.
Maybe some 3rd party dialer would solve the problem.

[Q] No contact found persistent problem

I've had no problem texting multiple people from my wrist using the "ok google" commands. Anytime I try my wife (who is a favorite contact) my watch tells me there's no phone number for this contact. I've done the resync apps in the wear app multiple times. Is there something else I can try? I'm using my moto 360 with a stock unrooted galaxy s5 on lollipop.

text message pop up notifications started on their own. how do i stop it?

I have an asus zenfone 2 running Android 5.0. The phone was running normal but since yesterday when I receive a text message i get a pop black box at the bottom of the screen (see screen print attached)
any ideas?
bump
I would like to know how to stop this as well
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using XDA Free mobile app
These aren't exactly pop-ups. These are "toasts". Do you have anything enabled? Or any third party apps controlling toasts? Because I don't get them.
Thank God I'm not the only one having this issue... I'd like to know how to disable this annoying feature of lolipop as well...

Hello,
Same problem on a French forum. But on my side I never saw these toasts.
The user having this problem on my forum uses ChompSMS. Even with the default application he gets them, so I think the toasts come from an Asus application or a third party.
As I said, I don't have toats. I disabled / un installed Omlet Chat, bbbler, hangouts and antivirus (I don't remember the name)
Did you disable applications?
I use Textra which is made by same guys as Chomp. I get these toasts on my ZF2 even when them disabled in Textra so it's gotta be something asus related
With the last update ASUS provided, do you still have these toasts?
how to fix it
Android central has the solution, I'm not allowed posting links so good luck finding it!
Found it. OP provided the solution. Uninstalling Dr Safety seems to solve the problem

Google assistant won't recognize nicknames. Is anyone else having this problem?

I've used this function successfully in the past, but recently when I tried to have Google assistant "text my brother" she came back asking "who is your brother?". I told her using his name, as it appears in my contacts, but she just repeated the question, as though I'd never answered. This loop goes on indefinitely. I'm running the latest factory image on a pixel 2 XL, and am wondering if anyone else is having this problem, and/or if anyone knows of a possible fix.

I've seen this on a few pixels. In my case, it was a rogue app. The app had accessed the mic and was doing funky stuff. I removed the app and all was well after a reboot. Know this doesn't help as you don't know which app it is. Look at you permissions list, that will tell you what apps have access to your mic.
works fine for me.
possibly try adding the nickname prior to issuing the text command. IE: tell the assistant john doe is my brother
