If you cared to read AT ALL. you'd have seen that this mod is only for Android 4.4 Sense 5.5 builds. ViperROM 2.7 is not based on KitKat and neither is the latest release, 3.5. This mod is not for you, you kinda deserve what you got with that flash first, ask questions later thing you got going on there.
How is it compared to zero mod?

I'm on Eragon 17,with no sound mod..I tried zero mod for KK 4.4 Sense 5.5,all work fine,only one problem is if my phone is connecting with my bluetooth earphone,when a sms msg coming,i cannot hear any sound,only vibrate. When i choose ringtone and notification sound ==> i cannot hear anything or when changing my volume level with volume key ,but if i disconnect my bluetooth earphone,it back to normal Phone call is okay with sound and vibrate. I tried other KK 4.4 Sense 5.5 rom but same result,after install zero mod ( PureX v9 and ERA v10 ) . Hope it will work fine with this mod. Thank you sir

Yes.
Is it meant to restart phone by its self after it flashes as it said installing and phone rebooted lol. Don't know if it worked or failed lol I'm running arhd KitKat rom if that helps

try to use TWRP 2.6.3.3 recovery. I have no problem with it.
Flashed,my own feeling is very cool,it focus on every element of a song : bass,treble,vocal,melody...very equally,i can hear,feel them very clearly,tested with pop,country,audiophile and house . This is what i'm looking for But i still have the problem like i said in post #12,sir doc..can you give me an answer i will be very appriciated
I think the treble was too sharp,make my head boom boom when hearing house music too long

I spent awhile trying to get the InfinitySoundXperience mod to work but after booting it would stick at starting apps, so i decided to restore and install Incredible_EQ settings and Incredible_EQ settings works... sort of. It sounds better when the sound works but initially the sound didn't play at all and then after that it would randomly have issues with playback and it would play one sound really loud. It looks like it's gonna need some more work before it works on the s3.

For people who didn't succed to get v3.0 boot I think it's because you are on Odexed ( official firmware) Rom!

Rats, I had a small hope that MrPsycho would come out of retirement and make some Voodoo compatible kernels. He has this phone now. The sound on this device as-is is not bad, but when I use my external speakers, it can't blast it like it used to with Voodoo. I'm hoping this will work as a good alternative too. I already have the Sony Xperia player and the Gallery on my SG3 and they work fine. Just installed them like as regular .apks.
Flashed the special odexed one that was under the simple zip non aroma folder and got stuck on the samsung screen. Rebooted manually and still got stuck on that screen. I had to restore a nandroid. What could be the problem?
It appears that the build.prop edits made it so that callers couldn't hear me when i called them but i could hear them. This could have possibly been caused by something else but that's the only thing that i think could have caused it. I reflashed without wiping data and it fixed it. Running Paranoid Android 2.11

It says right in the OP what it is good for and what it does. Nowhere does it say this only works for external speakers. I'm just mainly concerned with getting more volume out of my external speakers, the internal volume is just fine for me.

if this is in the d2att forum im guessing this works for my att galaxy s3. if it does not work why exactly is it here.... not to br rude or anything its just people will jjump on it and find out there phone is messing up....

The aroma, as it stands in the OP will not work well with this device. Allow me to suggest some modifications:
First a minor nit pick, your step 3 in the aroma is a checkbox. item.1.5 is a none

which in the updater-script you have:

however that entry isn't needed at all when using a checkbox. The user can simply un-select the other items. If they were to check other items and check this to "Skip add-ons" those other add-ons checked would still be installed.
This would just be a minor confusion for the user. However as it stands I'm not entirely sure if you want the users of this device to get the files in aroma/main or aroma/main2. I'd suspect most would pick the second menubox entry as it specifically mentions Samsung. However for that entry in the updater script you have:

This will not mount system on this device. Either add another menubox entry labeled for SGS3 and use:

I personally prefer the EMMC way where i can get away with it but you may want to avoid it here.

I didn't try the aroma but the flash file worked no issues I'll need a full day to test sound
Edit: bass seems to crackle less at lower levels sound seems smoother but I'll need to test more genre besides r&b rock next

Thanx bro, having a Bose system in the car helps to hear if it's clearer then previous no mods. I'm on AOKP by task650 cm 10 stock kernel with dsp sound manager and Google play music

To all non-snapdragon chipset, I'll update my MOD to get working non-xperia option correctly it seems it cause issue on SGS3 'cause of bad block choosen to mount /system in updater.script
I'll try with sbin/busybox/mount/system

im on the latest nightly for cm10. i have imoysens kernel. flashed the aroma version of this mod and got a black screen of death. made a nandroid and hoped back on that perfectly. i wish this worked oh and i also made the build prop changes

Yes you will need to have root to install this.
Make sure you deodox your ROM before install unless you want a bootloop

To install a newer version you will need to go back to a clean back up. I set up a back up before I did this just so I could quickly go back and install newer versions. As for what version you have there is not a easy way to see I don't think. At the same time I would suggest keeping track of what your flashing so you do know what you have. I keep a file with all my current mods in it.

Is there a way to make the beats notification come on using bluetooth? I only listen to music through bluetooth really. In my car and headsets. It just makes me feel like its working when I see the beatsmod thing pop up lol.
This MOD can really give some great sound. i have one issue tho: the equalizers always don't work that well. It takes ages for the sound to react and DSP manager isn't working. Whatever i select in DSP, nothing happens :crying:
One more question, can I use this on JB?

Been trying it out tonight, it does actually make a difference. Good sound!
Only thing is, i use bluetooth aand no symbol or anything come up.
Should there be an equalizer menu or something or do i need dsp manager?

We know that our Galaxy Ace hasn't a large volume receiving calls, notifications, messages, headphones ...
Personally I think it's very hard to tell you the phone is ringing at sites with little noise, for example whether someone sent me a whatsapp (it's also depends on the ear of each) :laugh:

From what I've seen service mode method is the only way that truly increases the volume :S

With this headphones, and stock Lewa Music Player + DSPManager i have the best sound.
Stock rom and DSPManager sounds good as well, CM7 too.
I guess DSPManager is the best 4 me and my headphones to !

Why is this post here ? Go post it in the general section. I use ALSA currently but I don't prefer much of a variation. It can rip the drums off your ears if you're on earpiece. Use low sound while listening to music on ear phones & keep your ears reserved for future use

Hey do we need to uninstall Beats Audio to flash this mod?
I used DSPManager + Megabass Ace mod.. that's enough fun for me..
No matters which mod you use, overall sound quality remains the same.
Audio mods only change values to "enhance" certain low-med-high frequencies.
All depends in the type of head-earphones you have in order to choose the best audio experience.
In my experience (I'm an audio engineer, composer, musician) DSP Manager 2 from CM10.1 is the best passive audio enhancer. As the name dictates, its a Digital Sound Processor software running over the Digital/Analog coding of sound with the ability of manually adjusting frequencies and even apply compression to the whole audio which can reduce the amount of saturation in loud velocities (volume).

This sound mod is very different that i included on Ice Cream Bubble V3 ROM
READ CAREFULLY FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS AND ALL
WILL BE FINE!
Recommended clean install ( No audio mod installed on your device )
FOR ICE CREAM BUBBLE V3 USER:
● Flash the ROM again without select Ac!d sound mod, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache, flash Ac!d, wipe dalvik again then reboot
FOR STOCK ROM USER:
● Wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache, flash Ac!d, reboot and enjoy
● Open Settings, select Clear Audio
● Make a widget and select equalizer from widget for Higher sound and Bass

you must choose one of two equalizer app, change equalizer from widget if you already show the widget, and remove the widget than reboot if you want to change equalizer from clear audio

I managed to get the v7 build 2802v2 flashed via Flash Gordon last year on my hardlocked bootloader but since had a problem flashing Xposed framework and had to reflash my firmware, I've never managed to get it working via Flash Gordon since.... don't know whether it was FG or the AC!D mod but never found a way round it
I've just uninstalled and reinstalled FG and this flashed this mod with it first time... I now have the awesome audio that i had on my old Xperia Ray :victory::victory::victory:
