No, you shouldn't flash to Oppo ROM or Stock Android ROM, just flash this ROM directly.
I very recommend that you backup your current ROM and important data first before flashing.

Any bugs ? I just finished downloading this ROM and TWRP. CMIIW but I read somewhere that flashing ColorOS using TWRP is a bit difficult. I need to flash back to ColorOS since it's going to have a new release next week. I'll try your MIUI soon as I learn how to flash back ColorOS Recovery

Okay I flashed the ROM and here's my review :
BUGS :
1. FC when selecting APN (major bug for me). I'm using Telkomsel in SIM 1 and XL for SIM 2. My data is connected using XL. Always FC when trying to modify APN either for TSel or XL. Here's a screenshot of the error message.
2. I also having problem connecting WiFi. Need to manually turn-off then turn-on WiFi.
3. During first initialisation, when asked for Xiaomi account and selecting next you can't go back to previous screen. Not sure if this is a bug or not.
Other Reviews
1. Haven't tested with telephony calls yet.
2. Root access granted.
3. When using updater there's no message if this version is the latest update or not. Well it's OK for an initial release.
4. FM Radio works with headset.
5. You can tap screen 2x to wake when screen is off.
6. All Google apps are working fine.
7. GPS works fine, got 10 satellites lock with 3m accuracy.
I have a Lenovo P780 running MIUI 3.12.15 so I know what to expect from a MIUI ROM.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your hard work porting this ROM. Mangtabs gan !

Hi thanks for feedback,
My fault didn't check APN Settings, because on last week synced miui repos (3.12.9) has no problem with APN Settings,
It seem APN settings activity are not declared in Settings AndroidManifest.xml, also SIM Lock Settings has fc too, I'm going making patch for this..
For WiFi, please describe detailed problem, I have no problem connecting WiFi (was tested in Home, Office and public WiFi with manual password and WPS button)
And if you was skip to add XiaoMi account at first setup, you can add it later on settings.
About updater this ROM is currently not connected to MIUI update server, I'm currently requesting to join miui porting team, so I can use miui rom manager. hope they will accept

Thanks for reviewing my problems. You can skip the WiFi problem, it's working fine now, I'm sure it's because many apps were syncing after first boot and also play store updates. I guess I'm just impatient.
Also both TSEL and XL only shows GSM instead of WCDMA in Preferred Networks.
My issue with Xiaomi setting is if a user pressed next instead of skip then he can't go back to previous menu to choose skip, I had to reboot my device so I can choose skip.
Well until you make the patch, do you think if I manually edit /etc/apns-conf.xml will solve the issue ?
And one more, please add link to TWRP in OP, I just got a PM asking how to install MIUI on ColorOS, and this guy flashed MIUI using ColorOS recovery instead of TWRP
Thanks a lot mate.

About prefered network settings currently I'm not understand what miui changed, still investigating..
Its not apns-conf.xml related, but AndroidManifest.xml inside Settings.apk.
I was finished with new patch, see first post.
Will upload full ROM while I sleep.

Thanks for the patch man, that was quick !
More reviews :
1. I just noticed that toggle 2G/3G Network is not active. I looked at my Lenovo P780 (running MIUI 3.12.15, similar specs in CPU and GPU and dual SIM too). Mobile network settings is differrent and then I realised wow your MIUI is missing a lot of options.
Here's my P780 MIUI 3.12.15 :
And here's R819 MIUI 3.12.15 :
I think missing 3G Service option makes your ROM 2G only. Just ignore preferred networks option and take a look at finding those missing options. Just a suggestion though, I'm only an end user with no knowledge of ROM porting.
2. In Battery indicator settings, choosing percentage options doesn't change battery icon while it should change to a battery icon with numbers inside showing remaining battery percentage
3. Icon Connected as USB Storage in notification is not properly aligned with other notif icons. I've seen this before at your MIUI thread, it's just a small issue and I'm sure everyone can live with it :
Take your sleep man, and thanks for such a quick patch.

Hi Thanks, this because your help :highfive:
I'm was planning to implement a real OTA, so everyone will notified if update are available on their phone.
But I'm currently looking for an alternative updater, because I does not have access to miui rommanager for now.

Thanks man, I've been using this ROM for half day at work and it's working well so far.
1. I noticed that in editing contacts, I can select phone number (select all button exists) but there's no button for copy, cut or paste. Using stock Android Keyboard from MIUI.
2. Remember my Lenovo P780 running MIUI ? Actually it's a custom build by a russian dev, I see many different english translation in settings but with same functions. I also find some options (not function critical) not available in your ROM which I'll share below
Feature Requests
1. Please add GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk into /system/app in future release so users can sync Google Calendar in MIUI Calendar.
2. Can you implement settings for default write disk (default storage for apps installation) like this settings -- storage :
3. Magnifier options (similar to iPhone), works when long-press on text in any text editor so user can easily position the text cursor. I found this in Language and Input Settings :
4. Sound switch in Audio Profiles :
That's all mate, thanks a lot for providing the first custom ROM for Oppo R819 (as far as I know). Since ColorOS Stable is just released last night, tomorrow I'll switch to ColorOS for a while and test its' new features.
Keep us updated with your work
Sent from my R819 using Tapatalk

Woah thanks for suggestion, hope will found the missing features soon.
But about GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk I can't see this on base ROM, I just remove CalendarGoogle because I don't want have double calendar.
Or better to remove all gapps, so everyone need install it manually.

GoogleCalendar is not needed because MIUI already has Calendar so it's good that you remove GoogleCalendar. Just add GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk so user can sync Google Calendar data with MIUI Calendar without having to install GoogleCalendar. I'll attach one for you later tonight from home.
Edit : here's the link GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk

Update 3.12.21
> Add more sound options. (under Settings > Sound > More options...)
> Calendar - now can sync with google calendar.
For links see first post.
Sorry, on 3.12.21 does not have OTA patch from 3.12.7 (my fault lost last target_files from 3.12.17 so I can't make ota patch from it)
you may download full ROM and wipe cache & dalvik-cache before flashing,
or if you don't want download full ROM of 3.12.21, you can flash back to 3.12.14 (wipe cache & dalvik-cache only) then download ota patch 3.12.14 to 3.12.21.
Again, sorry for inconvenience.
scmsystm
Many thanks to distan7 for suggestion.

Update 3.12.24
> Fix missing default translation in Settings.apk that causing security center FC's
> Fix invalid resource id of preference_header_item layout that causing some Apps FC's
> Add "Rebot recovery" options in power button menu
First post updated.

[Rom]MK44.4(CM11)(4.4.4)

As always, use at your own risk!
First things first, this is made by Chinese for Chinese. With all its consequences. Base is 11 CM 4.4.4. The base is Rom for Dualsim. But runs on the MT7-L09 / L10.
It is important that you stick strictly to the installation instructions!
I now run the Rom since Thursday on and can say that it is suitable for everyday use. So far, since most of the CM of Rom. For battery life, is in the normal range.
The zip I have now revised again.
What has changed ?:
- China Apps away.
- L Android Google Keyboard v2 involved.
- Xperia Z2 Keyboard 6.4.A.1.24 Multi language involved.
- Gapps included.
- Build.prop DPI value 400 modified.
- MK44.4
Source
Advantage:
- Very many settings.
- Hide / Rename network operator.
- Runs smoothly and quickly.
- Xposed runs in the current version.
- Etc
Disadvantage:
- No fingerprint scanner
- No NFC.
- No Huawei camera, but the Google camera. Not as extensive.
- No bluetooth music streaming working
Prerequisite:
- Open bootloader
- Custom Recovery
- Rom
- SuperSU
Installation:
- Rom and SuperSU to the SD
- To Recovery
- Factory Reset
- In mounts and storage:
- Format / system
- Format / cache
- Format / data
- Format / data and / data / share (/ sdcard)
- Now flash the Rom
- Flash SuperSU
- Restart
Institution:
When you first start to follow the dialogue and the last window select the Xperia Google or keyboard. The Rom contains its own launcher with Drawer. If you want, you can still install the attached Xposed version.
What else is there to consider?
A backup in recovery you can do it, but does not help because it can indeed restore, but do not use it.
Here are a few pictures. But is already set up with Nova Launcher and Xposed modules.

Thank you very much, i will try it out the next days.
Could you pls explain to me what you mean with this (ruhig in deutsch):
"A backup in recovery you can do it, but does not help because it can indeed restore, but do not use it."
I dont get it
Das Rom startet zwar, aber es wird alles beendet. Wenn es fertig ist hat man nur noch einen schwarzen Schirm.
---------------------------------------
Although the Rome starts, but it will all end. When it's done you have only a black screen.
Thank you for great ROM! A lot of settings, very good job! Highly recommend!
Only one question: is it posiible to set default incallui instead of as on attached picture?
I can not tell you.
new version??
Hi Fooox1 !
first post has been edited... it's a new version with some Google stuff included in the ROM... I downloaded everything yesterday to try this ROM, but today it's changed!! I will let you know my opinion... Thanks for posting

Is the same Rom, I packed keyboards and gapps to Rom. This saves a few steps.
Thanks @Fooox1
now the rom already installed. one problem with a pop up message that google+ not successfully installed re install again. the problem solved using system app remover. Although I am unable to download google+ from play store due to compatibility issue. last thing my device is MT7-L10 so how to activate 2 sim cards.
thanks in advance.
My mistake, I have not taken over everything from gapps. Is corrected. Original Rome for the MT10, like all china custom Roms.
USSD services doesn work. Can someone check?
my feedback
Hi
after a couple of days, here's my feedback on this ROM...
I like it very much, works well and it's a big step ahead in comparison with stock EMUI rom. Contains a lot of settings, can install CM11 themes. The device is more solid, serious. EMUI in my opinion looks childish in comparison. I'll get back to stock ROM only when Huawei releases lollipop.... I have not tried yet Xposed, I'll try in the future and report about it....
Unfortunately there are a couple of fallbacks. It's up to you to decide whether you need it or not...
As already stated in first post:
-no fingerprint
-no FM radio
-no NFC
-google camera app is basic in comparison to huawei app
I also find out that:
-alarm not ringing when device is tuned off (stock ROM turns device on automatically one minute before and than rings the bell)
I confirm that:
USSD services does not work (as IgorX6 points out)
This ROM is great in my opinion and I strongly recommend to give it a try.
The real problem (the missing thing only) is fingerprint, one of the most important features of the device...
I wait for further developments...
Anybody can report in detail about Xposed under this ROM? which version works well? Themes issue is fixed? Which Xposed apps works ? etc THanks!

Yes or later, otherwise the kernel and baseband does not fit and it comes to bootloop.

I had before B137 http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/development/rom-erykinemt7-v1-0-0-mt7-l09-b137sp03-t3044695 , all works fine
Hi,
I also installed the adjusted ROM. Great job!
But I have encountered two problems:
1) Audio streaming via Bluetooth is still not working for me
2) I cannot change the DPI with "texdroider dpi" anymore --> but I could manually change the DPI (my best guess is, that there is problem with the access permissions)
PS:
I could activate Bluetooth audio streaming with the app "SoundAbout Pro"
---> Ok, it seems, that this does not work everytime
Cheers
To 1, then, might not function properly.
At 2, why not just in the build.prop manually change?
@Fooox1
hi Fooox1,
any suggestions about the issue I reported (phone does not wake up to ring alarms, if turned off)?
How can we report to developer this? I have no idea, but I believe that it should not be too difficult to fix...
Can you just talk Report. My experience is, however, that there is no feedback.

[O][8141/8142][.270] M-ROM: Xposed, Daydream compatible

Hello everyone.
The XZ Premium is the LAST of the Mohawk tribe. It's got the genuine feel of unleashed power.
But this amazing masterpiece really DOES lack great ROMs. And, as you guys are not too active in this field, our Chinese friends took their turn.
So as nobody else did organize it into a separate ROM thread, I present this ROM to you. This ROM is NOT my work.
also, I'm NOT responsible for any damage you might encounter.
You MAY request for some corrections, but, as I'm NOT the author of the ROM, I'm not authorized to modify the ROM, NOR i'm really willing to.
Don't expect any updates from ME!
All I've done is the translating of the installer from Chinese into English, replacing some of the software with the international version, tweaking and making this step-by-step tutorial for you. I've spent a few days testing it, to make sure you guys won't have much trouble.
I did it voluntarily, because this ROM is SO GREAT that I just feel necessary to share it with you guys!
All credits to machao44 @ bbs.gfan.com

#. Long ago I've learned from some wise guy who recommended to always flash a full stock FW before installing a custom ROM based on it. You MIGHT or MIGHT NOT want to do it. But I've NOT tested this FW without flashing the full .270 image upfront via Flashtool, with FULL wipes. (Or, flash 16.20 if you want to go for the 1.8.0. Also, HERE is the discussion on it)
Or this .235:Newflasher+.235
0. Push the Aroma-ready TWRP via ADB.
1. Boot into the Recovery (hold power&vol-) and install the ROM. You DON'T HAVE to reboot afterwards, so you might want to add all the other ZIPs to the queue.
2. Install the Xposed-v90-SDK26-arm64-beta3.zip, which contains - no surpsise - Xposed SDK. You might want to install the SYSTEMLESS version of it, but you will need to find and download it yourself and install it at THIS step, instead of this particular zip.
3. Install the Xposed FIX. It has to be done separately for an unknown reason. I've decided NOT to play with it, trying to embed it into the ROM itself, and left it as a separate zip. MAYBE you don't need it if you're not going to use Xposed, but why use this ROM at all then??
4. Install the Kernel Patch. It's the standard Kernel Patch from JanJan.
5. Optionally, you MIGHT want to install the Sound Mod. I recommend you NOT doing so, because the volume on it is cranked up TOO much, and on my device it began producing crackling sound not even reaching the maximum volume.
6. HERE I INSTALL GAPPS. You might NOT need to do so, but if you want to use the phone with Daydream VR, and also if you might want to use Google Camera (sadly no HDR+, but I use it mainly for a cool Bokeh and 3d panoramas!), you'll need to install the SUPER arm64 8.0 package, which is almost 1gb big. Don't worry, we're going to debloat our device in step 7, deleting 80% of that crap...
p.s. To enable Daydream, install Daydream Enabler magisk module from repo
p.p.s. To enable Google Lens, install Google Lens Enabler magisk module from repo. It will also let you backup the photos with the Google Photos app in original quality as if it were the Google Pixel FOR FREE! It WON'T TAKE UP YOUR SPACE!!!
7. Debloater. Here is what it removes:

1.6.1 Google Disk.
1.8.0 - as is!!
Beetle84's contribution, translated 1.8.0 installer
The folder should contain:
aroma-ready twrp.img
1. ROM image. Google, Yandex
2. Xposed SDK
3. Xposed FIX
4. Kernel Patch (JanJan's)
5. Optional Sound Mod (DontBelieve)
7. Optional debloater patch
Enjoy!
Known issues:
#0. I'm not the author of the ROM. I'm only sharing with you what's working for me. I am not a professional developer either. Please remember it's a COMMUNITY, not a workshop.
#1. Substratum DOESN'T WORK.
#2. If you WON'T upgrade your phone fully to stock .270 via FLASHTOOL (!), or if you won't flash the included .235+newflasher beforehand, your G8141 WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY SIGNAL.
#3. SOME G8141 users still report having NO signal. Try flashing your device as G8142, and then flash the G8141 kernel manually before step 4. You can find the Shoey's G8141 kernel inside the zip file of ROM. Don't foget to patch.
#4. If you can't stand the one tab in Settings that's in Chinese, here's the translated settings.apk
1.8.0 settings.apk
#5. DON'T UPDATE XPOSED AND MAGISK.

You are going to hate me, but I still have no signal. This is driving me crazy.
It is a very very fast and stable rom
Used the original 1.6.1 and it is fast

So, you redownloaded the ROM, and you chose the G8141 kernel while installing, and it didn't work?
Are you sure you're using the right files?
Did you flash 235 or 270 beforehand? Try flashing full .270 or 235 upfront and then install this rom on top of it.
Else, I don't know why @amakuramio has no problem with her G8141...

I only translated the installer and embedded the G8141 kernel in it. Adding gBoard doesn't count, so, it's the same ROM you're talking about And yes it's fast!
Very fast!!
Thanks again for your time

Yes, redownloaded your files and installed in this sequence, 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 and no change with the signal, still not able to pick up a network, even when I search for it and click it, tell me I cannot register on the network.
I did a clean flash of .270 yesterday and started on the files you shared, I will flash .270 from scratch now and run through the files you provided and report back.
I do appreciate all your help, this is just a glitch and hopefully I will have a fully functioning device soon.

Very strange.
By the way. Once you flash the stock FW... Run it and check if your phone receives the signal on the stock FW.
Then try dirty flashing (without wiping /data).
Also, after the full installation, if the signal still doesn't work, try pushing the JanJan's kernel via ADB and patching it, then wipe dalvik/cache and try for luck once more.
If there's no luck, maybe you really need to flash the .235 ~150mb that @amakuramio mentioned. I'll try to find it and then I'll upload it to the Google Disk. I'll let you know when it's there.

DONE.
Try here
Is your phone provider-locked, or locked to the network, or sim-card, or in any other possible way? Call the provider and tell them you "updated the software and the phone stopped receiving the signal, so you had to roll back to be able to make this call"... Maybe try another SIM card as well... Check everything to exclude every single stupid possibility!

Stock 270 have network signal. Images attached.
I think something is missing, there is nothing I have removed or added to your file collection to alter it, so something must not be doing what it should be doing for single SIM, G8141.
I am going to flash your files over this now and see what happens.
Update - Back to no signal, I think the Kernel is not set for G8141, only G8142.
Update - Flashing JanJan's Kernel obtained from his/her thread gives me the same issue, no signal. I am going to flash from the beginning, stock .270 and then JanJan's kernel and see what happens. But, if I do that and have a signal, would flashing Xposed and the Xposed fix in TWRP without M ROM give me a working Xposed?
UPDATE - The issue is not with JanJan's Kernel,it is with M ROM, as I installed Stock .270, installed JanJan's Kernel and additional files and booted fine, strong signal, Root and DRM, but obviously no Xposed.

I'm sorry bro. I will think what could be causing this issue. I'll try to inspect the differences between 8141 and 8142, but don't expect it to be soon ?

His phone doesn't receive ANY NETWORK. Like if there was no sim-card. With all respect, I don't think your advice is relevant.
But it's surely very important to know that you don't have the signal issue on your 8141.?

After tinkering with the packages and flashing them in different sequences I managed to get going. In M ROM Aroma installer I ignored the G8141 option and let it flash the G8142 files and bingo, Network Signal and showing SIM 1, the software thinks it is a 8142 and I tinkered some more, got Xposed running, but then, I had a major issue, System UI crashed and would not re-appear after installing some Xposed modules.
I think, if I can find 12.75 I am just going back to that, I just need a stable, working phone for daily use and though others seem to work, mine does not. SO I thank you all for your help and assistance.
Who knows where I can get a '3 UK' 12.75 ftf or any 12.75 ftf as Xperifirm does not keep older roms?

Z6 Pro official Chinese Stock ROM 11.1.105 and OTA to 11.5.229

Hi all,
I thought it might be useful have a thread dedicated to talking ONLY about official Chinese Stock ROM.
I received my Z6 Pro with a very poor Global ROM, so quickly decided to try the true official ROM, hoping despite its weaknesses it would get far more frequent updates.
Just for reference, here is how I flashed:
Used as a guide the "UNBRICKING / FLASH FIRMWARE LENOVO Z6 PRO L78051" tutorial from boycracked
Official stock roms can be downloaded here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=303091 (CN 11.1.105 'android P' or CN 11.5.229 'Android Q' or even RoW 11.0.405 'Android P')
Required tools and drivers here : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=303090
Some key steps:
Get phone ready (important) :
Gain access to developer options
Enable USB debugging
Enable unlocking Bootloader (it won't actually unlock it!)
Get computer ready (also important)
Install QDLoader HS-USB Driver 9008
Install latest version of QPST (2.7.474)
Flash with step in boycracked "unbricking Z6 pro" webpage or using this guide here https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/rom-lenovo-z6-pro-l78051-qpst-edl-t3947149
This are additional tips to avoid errors :
Copy/move flash rom file to bin subfolder of Qfil in 'program file' might help resolve errors
Get Qfil ready with recommended settings. Make sure “Erase all date before download” is NOT selected in configuration / firehose.
Connect USB cable
Reboot phone in EDL mode (adb command or press power + both volume buttons), COM port should appear in Qfil as "QDLoader 9008"
As soon as phone reached EDL mode and phone shows in Qfil quickly press Download. If for any reason it did not work, switch off phone again and reboot to EDL.
Ok so that will take you to official CN rom 11.1.105 which is a very stable android 9 rom released sometime in September.
Or CN 11.5.229, which is currently best choice and will keep being updated.
Now get rid of Chinese apps and install play store from the Chinese App Centre and that's it.
WARNING : DO NOT USE GOOGLEINSTALLER APK AND DON'T INSTALL GOOGLE ACCOUNT MANAGER
Googleinstaller.apk is not needed on CN roms, it will install apps that are not longer required. AND it will brick 11.5.x CN rom based phones!
Some users successfully moved to 11.5.x . Everything worked well until he used googleinstaller.apk
All is needed in CN Roms is playstore that is available in Zui App Center. Just in case make sure you don't have google account manager installed before applying OTA to Zui 11.5!
BE AWARE: There are several limitations or bugs in CN roms:
- (IF U-Touch is turned on) Can't use custom Launchers (Nova, Action...). Unfortunately they don't work and will freeze phone, make U-touch crash / no acces to recent apps. [fixed from CN 11.5.269]
- Backup to Google Drive does not work.
- Whatsapp notifications sometime don't appear until you run the app manually. (fix is simply to : (1) white list app in auto run, (2) lock it in app recent drawer, (3) exclude it from battery optimisation and (4) when reboot phone manually launch app so that it sits in ram).
- Some messaging apps' including Whatsapp's notifications won't generate ring or vibration :
FIX: WhatsApp no sound notification fix for CN roms:
- Get Notificon app from PlayStore (here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=notificon.gsy.com.notificon) to trigger sound each time selected apps generate a notification in the bar.
- Works for whatsapp, but make sure you disable the unnecessary notifications there like "Media Playback" otherwise Notificon will ring for no reason and you won't be able to listen to voice memos.
- (IF U-Touch is turned on) Morelocale app (which allows to use languages not included in the ROM) also totally crash ZUI... So rom has to be used in English. CONFIRMED WORKING FROM 11.5 CN ROMS !
How to use MoreLocale to get all your apps to use the language of your choice :
.Get the app from play store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.c_lis.ccl.morelocale
.Enable USB debugging from Developer Options and from a command prompt on PC, type this : adb shell pm grant jp.co.c_lis.ccl.morelocale android.permission.CHANGE_CONFIGURATION
.Everytime you reboot phone, you will need to go to morelocale app and pick the language of your choice!
So really as long as you are ok to fiddle around to tweak stock app and to use English language (or turn off U-touch). ZUI CN is the best official Rom option, if you need to keep bootloader locked.
Since it is untouched stock you will get OTAs to next upgrades:
11.5.269 (Android 10) released mid-January ; it is now a very stable beta release, I used it daily and it works great.
What I noticed:
- fix issues with morelocale and U-Touch.
- Improved photo quality and camera app layout
- Android Q!
- Dark Theme
- Custom launchers now work
- Still no google drive backup / Notificon required for whatsapp sound notifications.
There NOW is a full rom flashable Qfil file available to get directly to CN rom 11.5.229. As BL remains locked and system stock, OTAs will come as and when they are released.
Please report other issues / tips for improvements.
This will no longer be updated as I have now moved to RevengeOS : this is THE Custom rom alternative we were all waiting for. Works 100% great and Lucchetto who created it also managed to port the stock Camera app which means we don't loose the ability to access all cam lenses !
Thanks
Hmmm... Actually Utouch seem to be working great with 11.1.105.
No wifi problem either.
BUT still can't set a language other than English and kind of forced to stick to ZUI launcher.
So as of now phone with Chinese ROM is enjoyable and very powerful, despite room for improvement.
As for ZUK Z2 Pro in the past, official Chinese ROM are far better than any 'global' release... But need some tuning.
PS: I love uTouch
My phone is with CN 11.0.575 and parched with the ZaZz version (The .bat 00_flashrom.bat anywhere), i already have TWRP Recovery and now is rooted with Magisk. I CAN HELP WITH AL THE PROBLEMS OF YOUR SOFTWARE, But, now i want to install the ROW Secure 11.0.284 version, i cant, i dont know if is the version of my QFIL, the drivers, but the process just arribe to system_3.img and stay every time that ypu want. I guess this is the main issue with Chinese ROM... Whatsapp notifications don't work well.
Still running tests, but there are like 4 places to watch for to help with notifications:
- permissions
- notifications from the app setup screen
- Auto start
- Battery optimisation
....
And probably more.

Nope,
read my mini tutorial further up. You need to "enable unlocking" in developer options, but you won't actually unlock it! Hence you stay stock and get OTA !

Disabling most Chinese apps is very easy. Either from Zui home page or go to settings / apps and you can uninstall or disable what you want.
Installing google play : I did that through the app centre (this is the chinese equivalent of google play) search for google play and you're done.
Are notifications fine out of the box in last cn version or you've to set some permissions?

See previous posts about that.
To summarize, most notifications like calls, sms, emails... Work fine.
I had more trouble with whatsapp. Needs to allow in autostart, exclude from battery optimization, allow notifications... And to be safe, launch it manually after phone reboot.

Make sure you are seeing the issue on a CLEAN install! If the problem pops up after a dirty flash, wipe data/factory reset and see if it still happens before reporting it
Make sure you have not flashed anything extra, such as 3rd party kernels, SuperSU, Magisk, Xposed, etc. These extra packages can cause their own issues. As above, try a full wipe and then only flash the ROM package and Gapps package, and see if the issue persists before reporting
In your report please include the following:
Issue you are seeing, and how to recreate it
Logcat/kmesg from right after the issue if possible

This ROM doesn't officially support signature spoofing/microg?

No. AOKP has never officially supported signature spoofing/microg. We did discuss it in the past, but we decided not to, due to the security concerns of allowing signature spoofing.
Does this rom has a working googlepay support?
I have been on stock oxygen OS roms for too long and i am thinking about a change.
EDIT: it is working. Had to make sure that safetynet is passed and using hidemagisk on google products

May I ask what kind of security concerns? AFAIK the signature spoofing permission needs to be explicitly granted on a per-app basis OR the spoofing app needs to be installed in /system.
For the first point, you would have to be a special kind of retard to just grant any app that permission.
And as for the second point, you would either have to have a ROM that already has a malicious app installed in /system in the first place, or you would have to explicitly install an app in /system through a flashable zip, TWRP file manager or Magisk. And for that you would have to have user interaction and know what you are doing.
So it basically all boils down to the user being the biggest security concern.
@Pokemetti2 you can try patching it either with NanoDroid patcher (if AOKP is deodexed, I don't know) or patch it manually using one of many methods such as haystack, tingle or others. Just look at the NanoDroid documentation.

Yes, that is the case. However, with a rooted device, it would not be difficult for a malicious app to gain root access, then install itself into system, where it would then have access to the signature spoofing. Also, not everyone pays attention to the prompts that pop up on their phone, nor do they understand the ramifications of granting permissions, so it also wouldn't be difficult for a malicious app to gain permission for spoofing. Especially if the app has been granted permission to draw over other apps. It could actually hide the permission request under an innocuous sounding request.
;TLDR
Team Kang made the decision not to include signature spoofing/microg support. If you want to use NanoDroid patcher, or build your own unofficial AOKP with microg support, you are more than welcome to. But we will not be adding microg support officially.

That's fine by me, just wanted to know whether I had to flash NanoDroid Patcher.
Update to OP
Hey guys, I just wanted to point out that I made a small update to the OP. I included a notice of the required firmware package from OOS that this ROM needs. Currently that is 9.0.9. We ran into an issue over on 5T, and it likely had to do with incorrect firmware on the phone. I forget that not everyone pours over gerrit as much as I do, so they don't see the required firmware commits.
I will update the OP, and post an announcement, any time that we update the firmware base required.
I ve been on this rom for a couple of days and i have not experienced a crash so far.
Camera, gps, bluetooth and wifi are working. I can phone and everyone can hear me clearly.
I like the feature with the energy saving that you can use smart pixels to use less pixels on screen in order to increase the screen on time.
As for the sound effects, i had to disable the audioFX app to get Viper4Android working in order to get global sound effects.
What bothers me, is that once i have started up the phone, that it pops up a message that sim2 is not working and you get asked too early to switch to sim1. Perhaps if possible, adding a delay if 1minute has passed and that defined standard sim still has no reception, then ask for a simcard switch.
Also i wasnt able to find an option to turn off the alwaysOn display effect.
Above all else, great rom! Still using it as my daily driver.

I am pleased to hear everything is working well for you.
As far as sim1/sim2 goes, I only have a single sim card in my OP5, so I have not seen anything with it saying sim2 is not working. It automatically disables sim2 on boot. I will take a look this weekend, and bring it up to the team, see if there is anything we have changed that would affect sim1/sim2.
To the best of my knowledge, we have no feature to disable always on display. There are options to disable the Ambient Display, but that only affects whether the display pulses notifications on pick up, or removal from pocket.

Thanks for the reply.
About sim1 and sim2: i use both simcards and when i reboot, i ve noticed, that one of my simcards caught up reception quicker than the other one. So i got that message just like that i ve attached in the post. Although both are working after 10seconds, i still need to acknowledge with "no" to keep my settings with the standard sim cards.
It s quite hard finding the option to disable alwaysOn display. I ve tried finding the option through settings=>display=>ambient display but it does not turn off the ambient display. Instead, i had to enter the keyword ambient on the searchbar in settings and click on the first entry to disable the option.
I find it quite misleading that the term ambient display is there but you cannot find the actual option to disable alwaysON. Please see picture 2 and 3 and 4.

I see what you mean. I will definitely bring these up to the Team. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but I did not know it was possible to fully disable Ambient Display until you mentioned how. Then again, I like the Ambient Display option. But I will definitely bring these up. On the sim issue, could you get me a logcat? Do a fresh reboot, wait until it clears the sim notification, then capture a logcat. That should have all of the log from boot, so we can see if anything weird is going on in the boot process causing the sim to time out temporarily.
In case you are unfamiliar with how to capture a logcat, here is how:
To capture the logcat, you can use adb via your PC (ensure you go to Settings -> About Phone and tap Build Number until it tells you you have unlocked Development Settings (Settings -> System -> Developer Options) and make sure you enable adb), use an app such as catlog, or use a terminal emulator (su <press enter>; logcat -d > /sdcard/logcat.txt).
Added to the OnePlus 5 Index Thread here.

Sorry it will take a while, because i am unfamiliar with doing logcat. I will try connect my phone to pc via adb and try to log the events. It s quite tough doing while phone should boot.
newest build (01/31) doesnt boot for me (it reboots to twrp)
anyone else facing this issue?

I ve been there. Please do following steps:
1) If you have wiped data/factory reset already Flash Rom
2) Flash Gapps
3) Flash a no verity OP5
DO not flash Magisk. do your first boot and then flash magisk afterwards. Also some magisk plugins like Oxy ify doesnt let you boot.

Thanks for the logcat. I'll dig into it this weekend and see if it shows anything interesting. Quick question, have you tried lineage 16? If so, does it do the same thing as far as the sim1/sim2? Since we base off of Lineage, I want to make sure that the issue is linked to AOKP, and not something that we have inherited from lineage. I only have a single sim, so I can't test myself.
On the flashing sequence, I have personally never had any issues with flashing magisk right away, but ymmv. I do a wipe/factory reset, (after backing up via tibu and/or nandroid back up in twrp), manually wipe system, cache, and dalvik cache, flash ROM, flash magisk, flash gapps. Again, YMMV.
Also, you ONLY need the no verity flash if you have unencrypted your data partition. I left my data partition encrypted.
I have not flashed the 01/31 build yet, but I will check it out, probably tomorrow.

I don't sure volte working or not. I added some of the volte wanted vendor blobs need to test by jio users.
Secondthing, you earlier also mention about this light. But in my device i have white led in the front of the phone (near to front camera). I mentioned in my post as notification led. So in this build That is work perfectly for battery charging, low batter and notifications.
really a great rom, very smooth, you gave this old smartphone a second life

Is Volte working on this rom
& Is it for xt62 or for moto e4 plus?
I have installed to xt1761 (standard "moto e"), sorry I don't know about volte. previously I had installed a rom from this forum with always a kernel present here, the phone was laggy like hell... about these kernels... guys don't use zram in your kernels! zram is the absolute evil for an android smartphone

I found this after reading some guide, I hope it will be useful to you
Where can I download the 113 firmware? Which part of it is exactly needed for the working fingerprint?
Edit: Found the thread with the backup of 113. We will see...
Ok, fingerprint not working anymore, even with this 113 twrp backup. Original 113 firmware not available anymore, just the latest for the SP flash tool. Not important, my mother don't like the fingerprint scanner, so it doesn't matter. Original IMEIs back with Toolhero has worked perfectly, just the serial number is wrong and this is not fixable and maybe not important like the right imei numbers.
There is one bug, safety menu in settings is not opening and seems to crash. That's because fingerprint is not working here, for sure. Or, all fine so far for mother.
And I have changed the bootanimation for her
Edit: Now she got a new battery. Hope the phone is not going down anymore around 75%
I have installed it on my Moto e4 XT1762 (2017), and my camera and gallery are not working... When I try to acces one of this futures, the phone stops and reboot.
It's there something to do with it?
Thx
Notification Lights are working perfectly which is blinking lights that were disabled in stock rom and in all custom ROM .
This is the only ROM that has enabled blinking notification lights for each added apps the pulse and speed of blinking.
Notification lights are white only & not RGB colors.
Wifi Calling also enabled and is supported by my carrier.
Screenshots below August 2020 security patch.
If all restored userapp icons dissapear like as if it was formatted, just clear Dalvik and cache.
Why doesn't the screen lock work? Clicking on "security" in the settings closes automatically. With the error "settings stopped"
Hi everyone!!
Must say an awesome ROM. The dark theme was the selling point for me tbh and the fact that its based off LineageOS sealed the deal. Thus, an amazing ROM overall in terms of performance, stability and battery life (the 3 things that someone wants out of a ROM )
But one issue that I am consistently facing is whenever I go into Settings and tap on either "Security" or "Set up Fingerprint" the Settings app either freezes or crashes entirely.
I currently have LineagOS 14.1 Dark installed on my Moto E4 XT1762 "Woods" MediaTek variant
LineageOS version is 14.1-20200913-UNOFFICIAL-woods
kernel version 3.18
Build Number being lineage_woods-userdebug 7.1.2 NJH47F 0b5190fbeb test-keys
I also Magisk version 23.0 installed for root.
Troubleshooting steps that I have taken till yet:
Restarted the device numerous times
Wiped the Cache/Dalvik Cache from Recovery
Signed up using Google Email
Deleted Google's application cache and restarted
Signed up using a new user (that time it just froze on the boot animation until I manually restarted it)
None of the steps work and still whenever I tap on Security or Fingerprint, its like my devices just tells me to eff off and not play around with the security settings. If this is something that the developer intended or locked, I would love to know any way to unlock it
I have also googled the issue quite significantly. However, for my specific device, I was unable to find any good information thus I decided to post on my own. I have tried a couple of different fixes that worked on other devices with similar issues but the same ROM. However, none of them have worked so far.
Otherwise, I must say I have been using this ROM as my daily driver for like 2 weeks and have yet to come across any other issues. All my required apps work seamlessly and its like my 3 yrs old mobile got a new life. Just this one issue is bugging me, and would love if I get some guidance regarding how to resolve this!
Thank you once again !! Y'all are awesome!!

Plus, regarding the NMA ROM I must have missed that part. I am still a n00b when it comes to rooting/installing custom ROMs, thus pls excuse my silly mistake.
Please do share the link of the NMA ROM, plus if there is any guide to do the installation of the NMA ROM and then this ROM, please do share that as well. Although you have already mentioned that you flash the NMA ROM and then flash this one and the fingerprint should work fine, so not a strict requirement, but would be nice to have if possible
Plus, pls pls pls do share the telegram group link. Tbh after flashing the ROM I have gotten interested in learning about custom ROM development, plus, if I encounter any bugs I can get quicker responses from the OG devs like you, so would greatly appreciate the share !! ^_^
Thanks once again!! Awesome ROM!!
