[ROM][Desire_HD_Gingerbread_Sense_Port][3/11/11][v1.40_Released]

Hey guys this is the Desire hd/HTC Ace ginger bread leak Port, so far the only difference between this rom, and the hushan leak is the app drawer, you can see the difference in the screenshots. And it also has like 2 or 3 diferent widgets/apps. Anyways lets get to whats working and whats not. Btw People tell me this rom is quite Fast.

You dont have to wipe data if your already on v1.20, if you come from another rom then yes you need to wipe data.

Known Issue:
When you long press at home screen rosie might crash, it happens at random, don't worry it still works fine just try again.
When selecting the htc default theme rosie will crash do to the live wallpaper that theme/skin uses is broken, rest work fine

ye i was reluctant to release it, since its basically sense ginger from homersp(the differences are in the introduction), plus i had some issues with someone over at the glacier dev section. but now hes banned, so i decided to repost my ports over at xda again. this rom has been out for 2 days now.

Why is Homersp banned? What is with this place, used to be the one stop shop for ROMs, but they keep banning people.

i agree with you haha. im flashing different roms every day!

when changing the settings for UPDATES for sense, etc...it just reverts back to 1 hour.
also is it possible to change mms size to 3000 like on virtuous?

Is it safe to assume that the virtuous kernels will not work on this?

this is the second sense that ive flashed today and i would say that this is the #bawse of them all. What really sold me hands down was the noti curtain. recent apps AND quick settings? not to mention the diff widgets that ive not seen on other sense roms. like the flip clock with friends update instead of weather and the other new ones i havent seen yet. 0_o found my new daily driver !

wow, i've been trying to port by myself, but it doesn't boot. if you're willing, can you share to me the guide, i want to port it, and share it my result to this forum...

Flashed over homersp's rom with no problems. Nice work

Really liking this ROM, great job!
Few things to report...
GPS works great (tested using GPS Test from market)
Shutter sound on camera is still on even when not checked
Had to restore my apns and reboot to get data going.

Because this is just the kernel & system files. If they flashed the complete tar(modem, bootloader, etc), then they definitely will cause a lot of issues

When you get that one bastardized kernel, it'll be good for all international ports to use for awhile til we get source

It has it's issues, front cam doesn't work(main cam works tho), rotation is inverted, no data, no wifi, etc but at least we get a feel for what the official ICS update will be like once it's released. If we get a working kernel, then fixing those issues wouldn't be that hard as I have fixed them before on the EVO ports but until we get a kernel, I'm not even going to start trying

Kernel is the problem. Need to try to compile a kernel that will align the hardware with ICS

Yep, although if you wait for it to unfreeze, you can then move around momentarily, before it freezes again...so far I can see that it DOES NOT have the face unlock, and other than settings, popup\menus and the Gmail app, which you can notice a difference right away, even without emails in it, it looks pretty much the same being that its TWIZ and not AOSP!

For many many reasons, not least of which was no significant progress towards ICS (which at that point needed CM7 as a prerequisite). Hopefully with the system files maybe someone can drag up that kernel and see if they can be made to work together but I think it is a CM kernel and I'm not sure that could be made to play with this...

The kernel we compiled for that does not work with this. Were going to see if we can get it going though.

Hey whats up everyone. After doing some research, and a gusty move, I read what people had to say in the link below:

This link has the steps to install the S4 Google Edition (Full system Dump) to our T-Mo S4's.
It's a pretty small file, and as always, create a backup before you install. I wiped my themed stock rom, then flashed the GE sys dump.
I've confirmed the following:
* Camera works / Video
* LTE works
* Phone calls work
* NFC works
* SMS / MMS works
* Wi-Fi does NOT work
There's a couple of other tests that I didn't run, but I'm still getting a feel for this as I write this.
Any questions should be directed to the link above, not here. But i'm sure by grabbing that system dump, that we can work out the Wi-Fi issue, or leave it to our developers hands. Thanks everyone!

Nope. Didn't get that far. I've trialed an error'd everything myself. I'll continue reading, but thought it'd be nice to have this for our community (if it's not already psoted).

Don't mention it - and be patient. It took about 5 mins on LTE to download for me in NYC. Let me know what you think or any findings you come across.

Faux Kernel didn't do anything for the WiFi; at least not the one I used. I seem to have trouble downloading one that won't throw an error or show up as an invalid zip...
I believe I'm going to give this a few days before trying the Google experience.

Can't wait to get home and look more into this...tell us how it goes! Have you seen any extra features in there cause i mean it is going through samsung

I hate having to work xD everyone beats me to everything. I downloaded the dump while at work to my cell phone. Now i am home and was gonna create a ROM but guess i don't have to xD

Haha I did it while I was at work, too. No special kernels needed. Just as C.Sweat said, just download, backup, wipe, and flash.
My issue was that I downloaded the system dump from a different source link, thus im sure there was something corrupt or not compatible with the Wi-fi in that specific sys. dump. I'm not even going to do a logcat or any of that, especially if there's already a fully functional dump of the GE.

Maybe someone can dive into the rom and pull the GE photosphere camera and port it into the stock TW rom, instead of having to find working patches and stuff. I doubt it'll port over (maybe the gallery will) straight out of the sys. dump, but for those who wanna try - have at it .
Also, another thing to note is that Google Wallet fully works (of course without XPosures' patching), and we're not given that "It's not available for your provider" nonsense.
This rom = So much win!

Any idea why wifi did not work at first?
After installing the full system dump from GPe to TMo hardware... are there any software differences that remain between the devices? Kernel, etc? Or are they truly 100% identical? Thanks!

I had same issue on my ROM. Myself I just removed Verizon SSO apk an it causes zero issues an Verizon login has stopped is gone also.

Oh you know I'm waiting for adrenaline!

Yeah that's what I did in Adrenaline. Unfortunately, I wanted it working in this "stock" rom and thought dropping the odexed version of the apk back in would resolve and it didn't.

Do you still put easter eggs in your roms neo? Just curious. I remember you put a few in infection back when we had the rezound. Was fun finding them

Thanks. This base was rushed since I'm out of town for a week. I'm going to re-deodex the ruu and try again with the full deodex when I get back. The full deodex rom worked however had the same VZW sign in error at first boot.

How do you like DU? Last time I gave it a try there were APN issues.

And I'm running the Blisspop build, probably gonna keep it now cx
Oh and about the apps, I debloat builds but the one in the link has all the BlissPop apps cx if you'd like I could PM you a zip with the apps
And I missed DU tbh, haven't been on it since kit-kat. Still trying to port to this device again, just wanted to get bliss out of the way haha.

You got 2 vipers, are they different? I haven't used viper in a while, where did you get that one? (Haven't kept up with it).
Are all the apps in your screenshot in your build, or are those some user apps too? I only ask because that would save me some time setting one up for a friend (a noob friend who refuses to learn, lol). That looks similar to what he's asking for.

One is the regular viper & the other is the old viper (xHiFi), I only use it cause it plays in true 32-bit playback (Sorry audiophile here cx) & sorry the screenshot was after I removed the apps I don't want , but if you'd like I can make a flashable for you? For the apps & some debloating
