What dock would that be (link)?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2496482

The white one made by Samsung. It stays that it is for Galaxy Note 10.1. It does not say if it is compatible with the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014.

I don't think it will work. The old galaxy note 10.1 still has the 30-pin charging port (which is where the dock plugs into). The new 2014 model uses a micro-USB port for charging, and there is no 30-pin port on the device.

I was wondering if that was what you're referring to.
No, it's for the older 10.1 tablet and it's about an inch bigger than the 2014.

Curious of that too, anyone have info?
In the listing there are pictures. It shows it working on the Note 1, so I don't see why it wouldn't work with the Note 2.

Will the Note II fit in the official Samsung Note I mount?

Yep, just use a hammer !

It should work because the of note is wider than the note 2

[Q] 2014 edition or Pro???

So Im interested in a tablet...
Had ipad mini when they came out. I liked it a lot. Found no use for it since I got a note 3. I didnt like the cross platform so I dumped the ipad mini.
Now im in the market for a tablet again.
Im debating...on the 10.1 I think (since I have the note 3)
Do I get a refurb or a used 2014 version???? OR do I spend the $ and get the pro version?
I think the only differences are:
USB 3.
Flash on camera
faster processor
(Unless I stand corrected)

I think I would wait to see what the KitKat update brings to the Note 2014 first and how important the S-pen is to you.
The Tab10.1 Pro does not have USB 3.0 only the 12.2 Note Pro has it.
The s pen comes with both units doesnt it???
The pro and 2014 edition also have the same processor and speed and the 2014 10.1 does have a flash with the camera.

Are you talking about Note 10.1 2014 VS Note 12.2 Pro or Tab 10.1 Pro?
Tab 10.1 Pro no S-pen. and only 2gb ram.

Hmmm
I guess I missed that...
I was looking at the 10.1 2014 version.... and trying to compare that to the pro version 10"...
the pro 12" comes only 32 and 64 is about $750
I guess comparing the 10.1 2014 to the PRO 10.1 it seems like the older version is a better deal...
the 12" pro is WAY too expensive for me...
I was just asking I have a situation where I can get an open boxed 2014 10.1 for 400 plus tax...I was seeing if that was worth doing...or get the newest one...Im always skeptical about getting refurb and open box stuff...

There`s no Note PRO 10.1, only Note 10.1 2014 edition, the Pro 10.1 is the Tab not the Note.

The Note 10.1 and the Tab Pro 10.1 are the same price right now at Samsung.com.
As far as the open box unit goes.... keep this in mind, Samsung only covers warranty on devices purchased from authorized dealers. So if it is not an authorized dealer you will need to purchase a warranty for about $85.00. I always buy a 2 year accident policy with my tablets so that warranty exception is not a problem for me.

Im not worried about a warranty.
Anyways getting back from bestbuy
the newer 10" device has microsoft office type apps on it. No S pen only on the 12". comes with kitkat faster processor.
The samsung rep said those office apps arent going to work for the older 2014 version of tablet.
outside of that...I didnt see much of a difference...
the open box is at a local bestbuy for me.
So is it worth to spend 400 on the older 2014 model (the newest 2014) 32gb and pay 400 plus tax or get the newest with kitkat for 550?
seems like a lot of $ just for that office suite no spen and higher resolution...

Samsung reps don't know much. I'm running Hancom office (what you call MS office type) on my 10.1 2014 right now. There is a post on this board how to get it working. And it's likely it will be available at some point from Samsung apps.
S Pen is what makes big difference for many users. I use it every day, for me Tab Pro is not even an option.

Also the resolution is exactly the same. Basically everything in the Tab Pro and the Note 10.1 2014 edition are exactly the same other than the S Pen and Software version. The Note 10.1 2014 edition should be getting an update to kit kat soon so basically the only real difference is the s pen which is pretty amazing if you're going to take notes. As the other guy said, the office suite is pretty easy to import to the note.
There is no note pro 10.1. Only tab pro 10.1. The specs are identIcal with galaxy note pro 12.2 and tab pro 10. tab does not come with a stylus

Tab Pro 10.1 has 2Gb RAM.
Tab Note Pro 12.2 and Note 10.1 2014 have 3Gb.
Sounds like I should get the 10.1 2014 refurbished and hack on what I want.
Unless I go for the 12" but that's easy too expensive

Possibly when the moon falls from the sky and the aliens get around to fixing it...
Samsung pretty much don't guarantee ANY updates until it happens... Asking them will result in being told that they don't give estimates or dates...
Anything you read on the net is just digital wind until you actually see the update available.
There is NO guarantee it will come.
Asking about it is a pointless excercise as it maybe released today or never... Any other response is just a guess or passing on that digital wind...
I wouldn't worry to much about it. I'm not loving it on my Note 4.

No, but it would be nice for Samsung to breathe some new life into this older device... If we got 5.1.1 or even M that would be a really nice surprise, might even put a little bit more faith in their brand again....
Oh, and get rid of KNOX and region models...

the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is updating to android 5
and the Note 10.1 2014 Edition has the same hardware as Note Pro... with a little differences.
so... i think Note 10.1 2014 Edition will be upgraded to android 5 after Note Pro.
and... i think it will happen soon.

S-Pen from other Samsung device with no offset and working button

Hi, do you know any other S-Pens that will work on Note 10.1 2014? I don't mind small size and inability to store stylus in the device. What about styluses from Smartphones like Note3/4/5? Besides, is there any chance that Wacom Cs-310 will work like charm with Note 10.1 2014? The device is listed as compatible so I expect that it won't be possible.
