[REVIEW][README] I-Blason Armor Box SUCKS - Nexus 5 Accessories

Hello guys, i just recived my I-Blason Armor Box about an Hour ago and its amazing!, Their havent been any reviews on it so far that are clear so i will make one now,
I wanna start of with features, now these are some ive added:
- Fully protected Nexus 5
- Sexy Look (if u choose it in green,xD)
- Screen Protector
- Sound is amplified and is not blocked when hand is placed on speaker
- Phone feels considerably safer
- Camera has no problems
- Port protectors, these are on the micro-usb and headphone ports!, stops dust gettin into it!
Now to problems i have with it:
- Screen protector is rubbish!, it however can be taken out, so im waiting for my Ilumi sheild screen protector to put it on my Nexus 5
Thats it, however the screen protector is a big down down as its really annoying, it also keeps grease on it like crazy!, also it floats off the screen a bit so sometimes when u tap u get this tap sound... and with that and the android tap sound, it gets annoying!
Price: Amazing!, 20$ for a armor case!!!
Here is a link to the case on Amazon: I-Blason Armor Box
Pics: (Haz no camera to take pics of phone in it,xD)

Veridict: If your getting this case, which i highly recommend!, get a seperate screen protector
Enjoy!
EDIT
I was happy with the case as everything was fine, recently i took it off as i decided to clean some dust that got stuck under the screen protector so after i did i also went ahead and wiped down the phone and luckily enough light caught the left area of my phone, i was almost in tears, i had my nexus 5 for 2 weeks without a case, not a single scuff/scratch, i bought a case to PROTECT my phone and what does it do? it scuffs it!, i am extremely disappointed in this case and im using my nexus 5 bare again, i know this might sound a bit extreme but im sending my nexus 5 back and getting the newer model as the newer ones come with bigger speaker holes and what not... so i might take the extreme precaution as this is a device im sticking with for a whole 1-2 years and i dont want this on my conscious, i have extreme ocd so this will kill me, :S

Have two since nothing else was out for it when I got them. The port protectors don't work against dust since they never really close. They are just a somewhat open flap. The red is more of a salmon color not actually red. The blue is baby blue. Should work for one fall. Included screen protector isn't great but does work. Headphones work but if they are a 90 degree plug it's not easy. I-Blason's shipping leaves a lot to be desired. One case was one day early the other case was 9 days late.

[REVIEW] GELASkins Vinyl Style And Protection

Well, Since my time around XDA I have always stated I DO NOT like cases. Even though I know I should use them for protection, I hate what they do to the phone. I like my phone NAKED, to me it is like making a sexy girl wear a armor suit.... While she is very protected, she is not half a fun to handle and not nearly as nice to look at. So.... I can across a possible solution to protect my phone from scratches and for it you have a 'custom" look. I thought I would post up for anybody who has been kicking around the idea of trying them out.
Ordering and Shipping::: I went to http://www.gelaskins.com/store/skins/phones/Motorola_Droid_X on Saturday and chose the H.R Giger (Always been a fan) after browsing through the tons of selections. Placed my order, and received a confirmation immediately stating that they will "produce" my skin and it will be shipped within 2-4 "business" days. I also received a link to download the wallpaper that goes with the skin.
Monday morning I received a UPS tracking confirmation confirming my order has shipped and 2 days later it was at my door. So, as for the production, and promptness I would have to give them a 10 easy.
Packaging/Quality::: Package was a simple plastic sleeve with the vinyl sheet containing the skins. One thing i did notice is that there were NO instructions or "tips" for installation. While I guess installation is self explanatory, some tips would have been nice ie: do stretch the skin. LOL
The quality of the skins are very nice, they seem to have a nice thickness to them, the color looks great, and while the adhesive holds tight... It is very forgiving while installing. Don't be afraid to get it right.
Installation::: This will be short.... I was hesitate at first but I can say, "it was not bad at all". I wiped my phone down with Pledge MultiSurface wipes (What I always use to clean it with" and taking my time I stuck them on. DONE. It was quite painless.
Overall::: Well, it is only my second day running them but so far I am pleased. I am not worried about putting down my phone, sliding around, or because of the tackyness not slipping out of my hand while banging out some emails and texts.
Hey, for the price of $14.95 and the look of the phone being able to change... IMO, you can't beat it!!.

Great review. Thanks!

how are the edges?? are they curling up at all?? im really considering getting this, just for the sheer awesomeness..
I have one of the gelaskins on my Droid X. The edges are fine and they never curl up. The skins are top notch and high quality. The only problem I have had was with the Droid X moto car dock. With the skin its a tighter fit and there was one corner, on the top left of the phone, that would sometimes catch and curl the skin back slightly when inserting the phone into the dock, but other than that the skin is very durable and wont curl up on you in the long run.

I haven't had any peeling yet. As you can see in the pics I have the Moto Extended Battery, and with my media dock and my car dock everything is holding on like it should.

appreciate the feedback! will order one today as well! im tired of my big case

[REVIEW] Case-Mate Barely There (Metallic Silver)

I purchased the Silver Metallic "Barely There Case" last week. Shipping was great - arrived in one piece.
The first thing I noticed is the color. The picture shown is nothing like the color you get. I personally am actually okay with that. The color you get is more of a black chrome finish. It's shiny/glossy but NOT a chrome like finish as the pictures would suggest.
Here are some pictures. (Pictures of case ON phone were taken with Droid Charge the ones off the phone were with the Thunderbolt)
The overall fit of the case is great. The case fits all the curves of the phone. The problem I've noticed is the left side of the case "bows" out. Maybe this is a simple defect, who knows. Regardless. If you hold it from both sides you can feel it move which also causes it to make a very slight, yet annoying noise.
Overall, it seems like a decent case. Not sure if I'd recommend it at this point however.
Sorry if this isn't that helpful as I can't say I've ever done a case review before. I will admit I am a complete case whore though. I hope vajacases makes a Thunderbolt case!

I just ordered one of these off ebay in black. I hope it's not bowed, so that the phone doesn't move around inside the case. That would definitely annoy me.
Well let me clarify... The phone doesn't move around in the case. The case itself just isn't a tight enough fit so you can actual feel the case change shape.

I've got the black one at work, don't remember it moving around in the case, or it being loose, but I'll try to remember to check it tomorrow and report back.
thats pimpin'

I noticed that when the Barely There case was on, the fit wasn't perfect around the volume buttons, and it did make a tiny bit of a noise when it was gripped around that area.
I grabbed a black one and love it. Sure, it doesn't provide full protection that some cases do, but the 'barely there' name is totally legit. I can't stand cases and I barely notice this one. Case is pretty good but the seam was coming apart on one corner, emailed Case-Mate and they are sending me out a new one. Great customer support! I would recommend this case to anyone who is looking for a little extra protection without making an already large phone, giant... Check out the pics I tried to show just how thin it really is. Oh and ignore all that lint...

[Review] Cygnett Crystal Clear Case

Just recently picked up the Cygnett Crystal Clear Case which can be found at their main site (currently out of stock) or at your local Fry's or Fry's online store.

I apologize in advance for the crappy pictures, I dont have a better camera.
When I got this case, I was mainly going for one thing, looks. I love the color of my pebble blue and wanted a case that would protect my phone from minor everyday scratches while still showcasing its looks. This case does just that as the plastic is clear and the color of my phone shows through very well. Additionally, the case has a slightly raised lip around the side and part of the corner. It is raised as high the width of a penny which ensures if you like to put your phone face down on surfaces, the screen wont get scratched by stray sand and miscellaneous crap. What I also like about the case is that the bottom does not have a raised lip which makes it feel so much nicer when Im pressing the soft capacitive buttons or the home button. The cutouts for the power and volume rocker are big enough that you can press them easily without forcing it, yet not too big where you can accidentally press them whenever you pickup your phone or pull it out of a mount (happened quite often when I had no case). The cutouts for the camera, speaker, and flash fits very well with 2-3 mm of space around the speaker and flash while the camera has it right up to the metal ring. The feel of the case feels (smoothness) is almost identical to the phone which I also like since I like turning the phone in my hands when Im bored.
There are some annoyances though. Im not sure why maybe it is the material the case and the phone is made out of, but there will be spots on the back after putting on the case where the case and the battery cover touches will show small splotches, almost like it is wet, but it isnt because I have tried wiping and cleaning it multiple times and it is the same. The splotches appear at random spots when you take off the case and put it back on. I cant really capture it since my camera sucks. It's a small thing and I can get over it pretty quickly but if you are OCD about those kinda things, this might bother you like hell. Also I am not sure if it is how the case was made or if this was a returned merchandise (this was the last one at frys) but the case has minor scuffs and lines going up and down. You cant really see it directly but when light shines on it, it shows.
Overall I would definitely recommend this case if you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing case that doesnt hide your phone and you know you wont drop your phone from too high up. Since I dont think this case will protect your phone from a bad fall... might help but definitely wouldnt try it.

Screen Protectors!

Hi guys,
Can you recommend good quality screen protector? Any good brand?
I looked but I don't think I want one. I'm a fan of glass and I don't see that happening for the watch.
I got a set of 6 EZGuardz screen protectors on EBay for less than $3. It fits right to the edge of the glass perfectly and is 100% invisible. I can feel a slight difference when swiping. It's just a tiny bit less slippery feeling. But the peace of mind knowing that I'm not gonna accidentally scratch the screen is well worth it.

I bought a set as well
I bought some Skinomi MatteSkin protectors that fit well enough, but I thought they made the screen look too fuzzy. I usually like matte finish anti-glare screen protectors, but I didn't like these particular ones on this watch. I'm going naked for now.
I ordered a set of two from XtremeGuard's website. They have a promotion going on where you can get 91% off using the promo code Christmas91 and purchasing three items. Should get it in the next few days. Will report back.
I bought the Skinomi TechSkins (the kind that you have to spray before applying) and I am happy with it. It has a lifetime guarantee (or so they say) but I have 6 of em so I doubt I'll ever need to take them up on that. It had a few bubbles for the first day or two but those started to face and now it isn't even noticeable. I can feel a slight change in the ability to slide my finger on it, but i'm comfortable with it.
Received my XtremeGuard protector (ordered 2, but only received one). Applied just like their other protectors, which was very easy. Looks good and no issues whatsoever. Not bad for the price either considering it was 91% off.

Nillkin Tempered Glass CP+

Hence is here for sharing.

Anyone already already purchase and try this? Kindly give some reviews ^^
I will share my opinions once my order arrived.
1. Something you need to know:
i.) Thickness? 0.3mm
ii.) Full-cover? Yes, with little almost 0.1mm space between corner (almost suitable for every phone case)
iii.) Full-adhesive? No, just side-cover.
First of all, regarding the tempered glass, as expected from Nillkin, it feels nice to touch, (probably good Oleophobic coating)
This tempered glass is crystals clear, but also highly reflective, hence maybe have issue with outdoor sunlight.
There is also one thing, i not sure what it is (maybe nano coating?) where you can see orange across the whole tempered glass, but it not noticeable when phone is active.
Next, about space between corner, it leaves about 0.1mm. Hence for certain phone case, it might leave a huge big space, but for normally one. It should be fine.
first image without phone case, second with phone case.
Also, to be noted, it not fully-adhesive, means there a huge chance that there will air trap inside when applying (it takes many tries to apply perfectly), when there is air, a (1) bubble will form at center, around 0.2-0.3mm size, that will cause halo effect when u press too hard.
About quality, i captured my phone under lamp light. I really can't comment much on it. It's clear, but reflect my own image >w<
I've had it on my A1 for about a week now and it looks good and blends in quite well. You won't even notice it's there. It covers a very tiny portion of my screen on the sides though that may just be on how it's applied. I recommend using a case so that thickness the tempered glass adds won't be noticeable.
I used it. It broke after two days when I have inserted the phone in the windshield support. My wife still has it on her phone, but it's already broken after one month of normal usage. I have used other glass protections on other phones before without this kind of issues. But this one is very fragile. When removing, I also noticed it uses a kind of soft glue. I was happy I haven't kept it longer on my phone. So, although it looked good in the beginning, I can't really recommend.
