did that after i installed using freegee and what do you know a bootloop. restored stock image then reflashed and worked fine.

another problem ive encountered is that once you use flashify to install recovery it does not boot into recovery at all. it boots into a black screen.
freegee boots into recovery also but you cant change versions of twrp. its at 2.6.3.0 and you cant install the 2.6.3.3 zip. tried numerous times and it fails.

I've not had that issue on T-Mobile D801.

As stated it work for me, I utilized the app and installed recovery TWRP and I booted into it and updated the TWRP with the zip.
Keep in mind there has been issues with using the app, BUT there is warnings as with all tweaking/rooting/flashing......

I flashed TWRP using Flashify as well. Done on the D802 as per the instruction. Recovery works fine.

the images i used were provided from here/ the link. ive tried numerous times and nothing. please share the image you used, were you on D80010o?
---------- Post added at 08:06 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:28 AM ----------
it seems the loki aboot from the link posted for recovery images is not compatible with th D80010o. if a fix were provided there would be no problems flashing.

yup i can confirm that using flashify after the ota and root does not work on the att d800. if you have successfully done it JudgeJosephDredd please give any directions that would help. cause no matter what image i flash it does not work......at all. thanks in advance if you decide to help.

This app ****ing rocks. Thank you for introducing me to flashify. I used it to upgrade cwm and cm11 in under 5 steps. That's pretty impressive to me.

Guys is there a difference between using this and using Freegee from the Playstore which ive already done. If this way is better how do i undo the Freegee, do i just uninstall it as TWRP already exists on my phone.

Just uninstall Freegee.

What did you use? the 2.6.3.3 D802 img at the link provided?

Yep I'm used that link (to be clear: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/g2d802) but first I installed the 2.6.3.2 .img file cause flashify supports better img files for recovery than zip and then used that TWRP to flash the 2.6.3.3 .zip file.
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk

Every time I try Flashify on either of the two img files for Verizon, it just reboots to a black screen. After first black screen I do the hard reset with the power button but still no luck.

Guys I'm thinking of flashing recovery via flashify, I did have recovery gained via freegee but got stuck in a boot loop while flashing Omni ROM and couldn't enter recovery so had to restore full software via LG Launcher software. My question is are there any safe roms out there for us yet, or was it a problem with freegee recovery

[smirkit-2.8][06/02]install recovery+bootloader COTR or TWRP

6/02/13This update has been provided by Ichigo™
TWRP has just been updated to 2.4.4.0, here is a new smirkit v.2.8 that contains this latest TWRP release.

everyone who uses this should thank Ichigo when you see his post's. he has taken on the task to keep this updated for your use as me nor webdroidmt no longer have this device. Thanks Ichigo!
download the new smirkit app here
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/q0wa5y0mgrgr433/Smirkit.apk
install the app, click install! no need to reboot to recovery and flash like before.
use smirkit as you normally would. this would be a new installer of smirkit
some info to take note of.
The advantages of an app over a flashable zip are:
1)You can install smirkit within the app instead of having to reboot into recovery
2)It will install smirkit on alt roms
3)It can automatically remove smirkit if the user wants instead having to manually do it.
Two things the users should know:
1) They may get a warning when installing something via smirkit. I'm not sure why it shows, but they can just ignore the warning. Everything still works fine.
2)They may find a smirkit folder on their sdcard. They shouldn't delete this folder. It's only 30bytes.
______________________________
smirkit now works on all roms! stock rooted users, make sure you install busybox from the market and run the app to install busybox first.
this update includes sblood86's new cannibal open touch recovery. read below for new install instructions!
release thread here
thread cleaned. I wanted to lighten the load and provide a way of flashing up-to-date files so nobody gets left behind. as cwm gets updated, I will update this to include it. in this update is the new twrp 2.1.1. I never got a response from him officially, but u guys need a way so I'm leaving it up until he says otherwise. I do beg u to visit his site anyway if u use this so he gets his views/clicks. if you can spare some change donate to them.
http://teamw.in/project/twrp2
I wanna thank kinfauns for rewriting the way the scripts now run, to verify the md5 before flashing the Bootloader or Recovery. this guy does a lot behind the scenes, so thank this man often! without his help that twrp update wouldn't have came so soon. if u have time, I highly suggest reading his guide to familiarize yourself with the kindle fire. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23747567

you NEED root, busybox, and a custom recovery to do this. (any recovery u can flash a zip with)
______________________install instructions___________________________
[*]firstly, grab terminal emulator and busybox if you don't already have it off the market.
[*]now, download goomanager from the market
[*]in goomanager, tap browse all files, then devs/smirkis/otter/smirkit and download smirkit-installer
-needs to be updated. use dropbox link for now
OR
[*]download smirkit-installer directly here (thank Ichigot for this update):
http://db.tt/8ZLuCqmE
[*]flash smirkit-installer.zip in recovery using goomanager, or manually
______________________how to use smirkit____________________________
[*]boot back into the OS and open terminal emulator.
[*]first, type SU then hit enter
[*]now, type smirkit then hit enter
it should end up like this:

i'm referring to stock kernel and intersectRaven... i'm not good in adb, thats why i always prefer script just like your gscript or flashing through recovery... can u point me to the right direction how to flash kernel using recovery... i guess i need to compile in zip file with script/signed/etc...
For quite a while IntersectRaven's kernels have been properly zipped for easy installation via TWRP or CWM. Just copy the .zip to your Kindle, and install via your recovery. His zip will automatically update the wifi driver, as well.
However, as a word of warning... PLEASE do a recovery-based backup of your system prior to installing any new kernel. If you don't like the new kernel's performance, you can reinstall the original kernel by restoring the /boot partition from the backup you made before installing the new kernel. Also since IntersectRaven's .zip will replace your original wifi driver, make a BACKUP of your original wifi driver in case you ever want to go back to your original kernel. To do this, use something like root explorer to copy /etc/wifi/tiwlan_drv.ko to /etc/wifi/tiwlan_drv.ko.orig. Then you can copy it back if you reinstall the original kernel.
By the way, IntersectRaven's kernel will only overclock newer CPUs that are internallly flagged as factory authorized to run at 1.2 Ghz. You will still see a performance improvement with his kernel compared to stock even at 1 Ghz. Neall
^thanks for the clarification. btw can we use this apps to install supercharger?. there are .sh files included in supercharger pack. is there any precaution that i need to worry?
this is awesome! thank you so much
Sorry, little late on the follow up question but just to be sure, if I have TWRP installed and looking to make the change to CWM I basically then would just install the APK, run the App and then just select the option to install CWM and call it a day????????

Fantastic! Flashed it and used it to flash a Wear version of SuperSU. Watch is rooted, without having to use KingRoot!
Let's see, somebody posted a system image a while back, didn't they? I guess I could flash that to unroot if there's a firmware update.

Yes, I pulled a system image and another user modified to successfully pass the checks that occur during updates (the original pull didn't pass). Check out this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenwatch/development/root-t3163248
Makes sure you read up on it, though, as it sounds like you'd need to do some legwork to get the system image to work. Relevant posts in that thread are 32, 52, and 54.
Hopefully, though, having TWRP means that someone smarter-than-I-am may develop even more elegant solutions!
Cheers!
Now that we have twrp we can do a system pull from an unrooted device. The system image posted in the other thread will only work on the previous version of Android Wear. Do not flash if you are up to date.
Flashing the system.img for the ZenWatch on LCA43 does work but I wouldn't recommend it (I had to recently wipe my watch to test something), as long as you do an update path from flashing to directly flashing the OTA zip, but it's long winded (of course now that we have TWRP, updates and flashing back to "stock" will be so much easier). That, and KingRoot seems to leave a lot of trace files.
Also as a sidenote, because of SuperSu, I was able to install Stericson's BusyBox from the app (sideloaded apk). KingRoot's root authorization window didn't play well with Android Wear.

The current system image in the other thread still has Kingroot on it. After removing that I tried to flash SuperSU but that force closes. Would like to get somebody who has not rooted to do a twrp backup and post it. We should be able to make a new flashable clean system image from that.

Make sure you're using this zip file to install SuperSU (it seems to be the same binary as Chainfire's) since the app itself doesn't work, and this one doesn't require authorizations (not completely safe, but it works).
(also, don't forget to unroot from the KingRoot app first; the unroot seems to be clean enough to use Wear SuperSU)

That's the one I used, and it works. (Though there's no authorization popups, as you said.)
Theres an app called Super SUMe, in the Play Store that'll switch out KingRoot for SuperSU. Super easy to do, one click to complete the process. Have no idea if it'll work on watches, but I guess it doesnt hurt to try? Make sure you make backup first, now that TWRP is available..
Hoping to get this watch today! or maybe the Moto360..

It'll probably remove KingRoot successfully, but the Zenwatch can't launch the SuperSU app, so root authorization dialogs never show up (the su binary still gets installed, but it can't do anything without permission from the app first).
Boooooo moto 360. It's sooo damn big.
@acbka How did you set up your build environment? I wasn't exactly sure what to initially use (other than not using the CyanogenMod sources since it doesn't work well with building TWRP; I'm assuming Omni 5?).

Nice. Thanks for your work man! I'll try this out and report back if I notice any issues. If you don't hear from me then it's all good!
Is f2fs only for cache, data, and internal storage? Or can it be used on system as well?
[update] I used the flash method and it's running good. Switched cache, data, and internal storage to f2fs and all is running well.

Good I set it up for system to do it as well, even though technically it would be pointless since system doesn't write files(unless you manually add to it or flash something to it) . I haven't tested it though

I guess the restore bug may not be present in this watch's system due to no efs partition. I'm wondering if it does affect it at all since it does affect quite a few devices.

After you flash the recovery, boot to the normal watch running before you boot back to recovery, i *think* that is how I solved it, but it has been some time ago.

I had to do it about 8 times with the same problem.
Try flashing recovery then back to bootloader with
Code:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Then manually reboot from the bootloader to recovery.
Sorry, I just don't remember how I solved it

Fastboot boot temporarily loads the recovery.img. Try doing that then flashing the recovery zip within recovery. Quick workaround for you

Think I just bricked my Le Eco Pro 3. Dragged the ROM into the root system of my X727 I was going to flash, Lineage 13
Enabled USB Debug
Unlocked Bootloader
Flashed GS Custom Recovery
Wiped Everything
Went to Flash the ROM, and nothing showed up...
I rebooted, and now I think the stock recovery re-installed itself, and there is no ROM present because I wiped everything.
Help
I just get a flicker of the Le Eco Boot Screen, then it shuts off. Can't get into ADB or Recovery.

Thankfully I fixed it.
Flashed an aboot file, and all a sudden, Lineage 13 started up. You cannot believe how psyched I was. I was on eBay looking at my next phone, and all angry that I messed up my perfectly good phone.
I don't think this tool had anything to do with it. I was unforunate enough to wipe my phone before I went to install the ROM, and it wiped the ROM too. When it restarted, it had nothing to boot too. Just used Fastboot to flash the aboot file, and sideloaded the ROM and flashed away

Had the same issue and same fix for my attempt into unlocking bootloader and installing custom recovery and rom.
Did you also flash the 5.8.0.19 aboot file? I'm wondering if flashing a newer one is a good idea...

Very good tool thank you very much Mauro
Thanks Mauro, it helped me install Omni ROM.
Question, I had two TWRP versions to choose from, I installed the latest 3.02. Is it useful to update the TWRP with e.g. the 3.1.0 from Darkobas?

Thank you for all your effort for our Le Pro 3 :good:
Does this unlock bootloader with the current us version 21s?
I try using this Tool ALL in One on the Le Pro 3 but unable to unlock the bootloader as it displayed
"FAILED <remote: oem unlock is not allowed).
I already checked "ON under the OEM UNLOCKING" and "USB debugging" is "ON" also under the Developer Option before turning off the phone and boot it (volume down + Power) into Fastboot Mode.
Please help. Any advise is appreciated.

TWRP 3.2.3-1 for Pixel 2

Note: Do not use if you have multiple users (including a guest user)
Lots more information here: https://plus.google.com/u/1/+DeesTroy/posts/i33ygUi7tiu
I strongly recommend that kernel developers start building the touch drivers into the kernel instead of depending on modules to ensure a fully functional TWRP since recovery is now part of the boot partition.
Be careful about what you install on your device as far as kernels and ROMs go. I think there is a high potential for losing the ability to decrypt because of the OS and patch level tags that are included in the boot image and the anti-rollback features that Google has implemented.
MTP does not work in TWRP on the Pixel 2 and will not work until we have time to update the TWRP MTP implementation. You may still use adb to push and pull files.
Pixel devices have 2 "slots" for ROMs / firmware. TWRP will detect whichever slot is currently active and use that slot for backup AND restore. There are buttons on the reboot page and under backup -> options to change slots. Changing the active slot will cause TWRP to switch which slot that TWRP is backing up or restoring. You can make a backup of slot A, switch to B, then restore the backup which will restore the backup of A to slot B. Changing the slot in TWRP also tells the bootloader to boot that slot.
The zip install method installs TWRP to both slots.
Installation:
If you already have TWRP installed: Download the latest zip and install the zip using TWRP.
If you do not already have TWRP installed: Download both the img and the zip. Copy the zip to your device. You will need to have fastboot binaries and the correct drivers installed. Power off your device completely. Hold volume down and turn on the device. Your device should now be in the bootloader. Connect the device to your PC. Open a command window and run the following command from the proper location:
fastboot boot path/to/twrp.img
This will temporarily boot TWRP on your device. If you are using a lockscreen pin/pattern/password and do not get prompted to enter your passord, reboot to the bootloader and try again. Go to install and browse to the zip and install the zip. If you are currently rooted, you will need to reflash the stock boot image before installing TWRP. After installing the stock boot image, follow the instructions for installing TWRP. Once TWRP is installed, you will need to reflash root.
If you accidently flash TWRP to your device using fastboot instead of temporarily booting the image, you will need to download the latest factory image for your device and reflash the boot image.
3.2.1-1 has working decrypt with the February security patch!
3.2.1-2 fixes some zip install errors
3.2.3-1 supports decrypting Android 9.0 Pie even with a pin / pattern / password set

So happy to see it.
Nice
What a joy it is to see this post today. Thank you!!
Thank you! You're a hero.
I'm dying to root my Pixel 2. Does anyone know whether this alpha release of TWRP can be used to install SuperSU (and suhide)? I'm afraid to try.

i tried flashing SuperSU v2.82 SR5 and phone would not boot into system. It just kept booting into bootloader.
To get my phone working again, I needed to flash the boot.img from the Pixel 2 Factory image via
Code:
fastboot flsah boot boot.img
i've gathers recovery / kernel logs - however since TWRP boots i will post them in the SuperSU forum.
Code:
fastboot boot twrp-3.1.1-alpha1-walleye.img
I've tried to boot to this alpha on my Pixel 2, and it just sits there and does nothing. I've tried two different cables. If I unplug, it fails, obviously.
Code:
fastboot devices
shows my device and I'm definitely on the bootloader screen.
Any ideas? I re-downloaded the sdk platform tools as well as the latest usb driver to see if that was the problem, but it wasn't the problem.

Note, this is BROKEN. Decrypt does not work yet and because it does not work, a lot of other things like backup and restore don't work. You can't transfer files with MTP. I have no idea what will happen if you try to factory reset. Basically, a lot of stuff won't work so if you're scared or can't afford to lose data or be unable to use your device, DON'T use this. I strongly recommend that you have the factory images already downloaded and know how to reflash them if needed.
I am not providing a way to permanently flash TWRP at this time. You should use:
fastboot boot /path/to/twrp.img
This will one-time temp boot TWRP so you can do whatever like maybe adb sideload a zip or something.
I am working on decrypt. The Pixel 2 uses a new embedded secure element chip from NXP. Most of the crypto implementation is done in Java and not in native C/C++ so it's going to take a while to convert all of this code and its many layers into something that TWRP can run. Be patient. I'll get it eventually (probably).
