Free SSX by EA Mobile (PS3 & Xbox 360 version) for Xperia Devices on Nexus 4 [APK]
I just came across some news that EA released SSX for free exclusively for Xperia devices. It's the version that's on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The game just does a check on build.prop so to get it to run on a Nexus 4, all I did was spoof mines to an Xperia Z Ultra.
To spoof your Nexus 4 into an Xperia Z Ultra, change the following lines (MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR BUILD.PROP!):
ro.product.model=Nexus 4 (or whatever is here)
ro.product.brand=google (or whatever is here)

Save and reboot your phone.
After you run the game once and are past the phone model check, you can change your build.prop back to its original state.
The game will run without checking your build.prop until you either uninstall it or wipe the game's data.

Tried this method for Asus TF701T ( Tegra 4 ) but it didn't work at all, bypass seems to be viable only on Nexus 4 !

those 2 lines are mostly placeholders so apps can get your current device.it dosent change and the "good coded" apps dont use these to get the current device(apps like playstore).

Hi I love my new galaxy s but there are a few apps I'm missing from my touch pro 2.
1 myplayer - is there anything I can use to access iplayer or watch live tv?
2 scummvm - I think I saw this running on the g1 but can't find it in market place
3 is there an internet radio program I can use to enter my own stations or one with on demand content (like spotify but not spotify as I don't have an account)
Also being new to android is there any must have apps I need to get?

Hi thanks for this, this site never worked with my windows mobile so I thought it was iphone only I'm a lot happier now although myplayer is still awesome (if dev reads this make it for droid)

there's an android version of myplayer on the app market - search for it via your phone. appbrain doesn;t seem to know abnout it though.
ScummVM for android, even though not official (yet), should be on the market.

I can't even get the game to work anymore now. I install the ~1.5GB of game data and then the game does not boot, screen stays black.
The issue still remained when it did work though

Relax guys. Has nothing to do with country of origin. It has to do with lazy devs. I'm Australian and I can't install any Gameloft titles, which is ridiculous, of course, since my Defy ran them all fine.
This will be resolved over a period of time. Patience! Spotify IIRC isn't available in India which might explain that.

No problems with getting Spotify here. First app I installed, and this was some month ago.
The only issues I've seen with this is that the One V doesn't come with an SD-card, and rather than complaining about it, Spotify will just crash to desktop without any explanation.
This is from the UK. Quite possibly the issues with this are regional.
I found it nearly unbelievable that Google releases Snapseed for phones and tablets and yet it is not available on the Nexus 7.
It could be that the app compatibility is asking for a back-facing camera on devices. Rookie mistake by Snapseed dev and/or Google.
If someone could post the APK it would be most appreciated. Currently can't install it on my phone as it's too large.

Indeed. A Google engineer confirmed that it was a problem with the metadata - not intentional.
I read that that it is now supported on the nexus 7. I have not confirmed this though. I installed it via moving the apk from my phone to my nexus 7. Since then there was a play store update for it and I applied that via the play store app. Still working fine. version 1.4.1

I'm sure some of you have heard about this magic app
In few words:
Chainfire 3D was created for users with weaker phones to run some of the new games. It may reduce texture size, emulate some buffers that are not compatible with older GPUs etc... Sometimes it works, sometimes not, as it's in Android world
As booth HOV wariants are now S-OFF, we can play with CF3D. I know that it's written, that it may not work on ICS/JB in original thread, but I've manage to install and set up it without any problems...
I've tested it with Assasin's Creed Pirates. When I've downloaded and installed AC Pirates, it won't work - I was kicked out to homescreen. But when I've run it through CF3D with checked "Reduce textures size", "Reduce texture quality" and "Disable BGRA emulation", I've managed to get through loading screen, video, go to options, turn of sound, hit play button and get to the end of the loading and... FC, due to HOV's weak hardware
But it shows that CF3D is finally working on HOV I think it may work with a bit older games like Modern Combat 3, Modern Combat 4, N.O.V.A. 3, Aphalt 7, 8 and some others tittles

I've tested AC Pirates only for now... It will be easier to test if I only manage to set up reversre USB tethering on my Live USB Mint 15
Did anyone test any other game ?
And is it mandatory to be on S Off to use Chainfire 3D ?

Aphalt 7 and bombshells (glu) tried on both ... worked reduce texture size as well as quality, Didnt work on dead trigger 2 ,eternity warriors 2 archangels and neon shadow ....
