Can you play music and use Google Nav audio Simultaneously?

Whenever I use google nav and htc music, lastfm, or pandora the music plays until Nav says something. At that point the music stops, i have to switch to the music player, and press play, and go back to Nav. This doesn't work well when i'm driving through neighborhoods and nav is speaking every few seconds. Is there a way to get both the audio from music and google nav to work at the same time without nav pausing the audio?
I know I can mute google nav and the music will continue to play but that means I have to be watching my phone more than i'd like to- safety issue.
Thanks!
I dont think there is a fix for it at the moment. I want to say that it started with the 2.2 update. Beforehand I think the music would start back up automatically.
i can confirm this bug as well. Very Annoying.
yeah no fix for this yet - frustrating as all hell.
you can star the issue on Google code here;

For what it's worth, Bplayer doesn't have this problem. It acts exactly like the stock music player / Pandora etc used to in 2.1 where it just mutes when the Nav is speaking.
I don't know if this helps narrow down the problem or not, but it's how I'm working around the issue.
I just put my nav on mute and listen to the music

How to change song without turning on device?

Does anyone know how to change a song without turning on the device?
I'm using the stock earphones they gave me.
There's a free music player called "Nitrogen" that lets you skip the current song by shaking the device! It also has keyboard shortcuts so you can assign some function to your keyboard keys.
You can download it here: http://nitrogen.wmskins.com/
There's a cab floating around that lets you use the "talk" button on a headset with mic to skip forward a song, I think two presses either goes back or does something else.
Not sure what it's called, will let you know if I find it.

[Q] AVRCP priority

Not sure the best place to ask this...when you've got your epic connected to a AVRCP-capable device (like a bluetooth headset with a play/pause button), the play button is capable of having the epic launch an app in order to play something is nothing is open.
My question is, what, in the Epic's software, determines the priority of which app gets launched, out of all the various playback apps you might have?
Some background: I mostly use my BT headphones for podcast listening on the go. I set up Tasker to launch Google Listen on phone startup (and then immediately go back to desktop) so that the app is in recent apps list. Then, if I put the play button on my headphones, Listen will launch and my podcast will start playing. If I want to switch over to pandora, I manually close Listen (using the back button) and launch pandora. Now my headphones control the play/pause on Pandora without trying to launch listen instead, which is what they might do if I had both apps open.
The problem comes in that I installed the Google Music beta app (this is different from the Music app that comes with the Epic, for clarity) so that I could access my music from the cloud. This app seems to take priority over all others. If I launch it, even once, it will always bypass Listen from then on, even if I manually close, it, kill the service, and dump the phone's ram. The only way I can switch the phone back to Listen app mode is to manually freeze Music with Titanium backup.
This is really annoying.
So, yeah, my question is, what on the phone makes it determine that launching the Music app is preferable to resuming the Listen app?
I find this extremely annoying too (because I have to pull over to fix it) so I only have miui player installed, not quite the answer but this sounds interesting would like t know as well

Galaxy Nexus Desktop Dock Incoming call

Hi All
Does anyone else here use the desktop dock to listen to music? I do at work with a headphone amp - it works great.
There are a couple of annoying points though. Firstly if you lift the phone out of the dock whilst music is playing it doesn't pause the music it just plays it out loud from the phone speaker - not good in a quiet office.
Similarly if a call comes in when you have finished the call the music that was playing before you took the call starts playing when you hang up. What's even more annoying is that the play music app is not listed in the notification field to easily pause it, you need to re-launch it then get the now playign screen up and then pause it - all whilst your music is played out lous for the whole office to hear.
VERY ANNOYING
Any way round this? I hope they fix these bugs soon.
Use a better music player app?
Player Pro, N7Player, Winamp, etc... Any player that has lots of docking and bluetooth options. Just check the ones you want.
Example: i only have one play/pause button on my headphones, so i binded it that way:
1 click: Play/Pause
2 click: Next Song
3 click: Previous Song

This is using the Google Music app so I can play my music from the cloud. I've not tried it with Spotify (the only other app I use for music) but I am pretty sure it'll do the same thing. I'll try it next time I'm in the office though.

Unable to skip to next song in spotify/music player

I am using my iPhone headphones with my oneplus 5T and when I try to skip to the next song on spotify by double tapping the play/pause button on the volume rocker in the cord of the headphones like I have on my iphone and other android devices, it just skips to the next song but does not start playing as says the next song is paused.
Now I have tried the apps from the android app store that add these gestures but same result as above.
Is this due to me using an iPhone headphone on an android device? Something to do with a setting in spotify? I've also read that this is not a feature for oxygenOS? I've also noticed that using the volume up/down does not adjust the volume as well. I know oxygen OS offers gestures to change to the next song but I do not want to do that if my phone is in my pocket.
This is very frustrating when I have my phone in my pocket at the gym and need to skip to the next song. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
