[Q] Help with I9192 - I need the PIT file in order to repartition after encryption - Galaxy S 4 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have enabled full encryption on my I9192 with 4.2.2 firmware a month ago.
Now I did a hard reset, and even after flashing with various firmware via ODIN on every boot the phone is asking for the encryption password.
I just can't remove it no matter what I do via ODIN, except the PIT option.
Can someone with working I9192 3G 8GB model please send me the PIT file, so I can try to repartition (and hopefully remove the encryption password) ?
Thank you in advance guys !

I have a backup made with Efs Pro that also made an .pit file
Not sure if it is the same as Odin .pit file tho I never used repartition on any phones i had
Try to open the file with PIT Magic and see if all is ok

Many thanks, SilviuMik !
I have just solved the issue in another way that might be useful for the other users that face the same issue:
- the CWM provided with the custom I9192 firmwares seems to ignore the encrypted /data partition and even if it I format it, and CWM says it's formatted, it's not.
- the solution: load OEM unmodified firmware with ODIN (I9192XXUAMF7,I9192XXUAMF9,I9192XXUAMH2), then boot in recovery mode and from there select "format data partition". The OEM recovery seems to be able to format the encrypted /data partition, so now the phone booted normally.
I'll keep this file just in case I need to repartition, so many thanks again for the quick answer !
Best wishes on the New Year eve and 2014 !

As much as Kies is hated, an emergency recovery using it will fix this problem.
I tried using kies but it won't even connect. thanks for the help.
Kies didn't connect for me when I had this problem, either. Going to the emergency recovery option worked fine.

help to solve"cant mount cache"problem/not booting

Hi,
Writing this to seek you help! My second phone, Galaxy grand duos (i9082). Suddenlty went dead and now struck on boot logo. I have tried flashing Cm/Stock roms through both recovery and Odin. But I am getting this error message
===
E: Can’t mount Cache/recovery
Or
E:failed to mount/cache (no such file or directory)
===
Can you please suggest is there anything I can try to revive the phone?
Ps: The stock rom files I have downloaded are having only one zip file than three to place in PDA/CSC/PHONE tabs of ODIN. As PIT file is not available separately, I am not able to try re-partion. With my limited knowledge, the problem is more on account of readability of drives/memory. Please suggest if I should try to download the stock firm ware again from different source to get PIT file and try again>
Thanks in advance for your help!!
You'll need to flash Stock firmware.
1. On your Computer, in Task Manager, kill all Kies related processes.
2. Open ODIN and put that single TAR file in PDA section. Others will be blank.
3. Make sure that Re-partition is NOT TICKED. A mistake here could make your device dead.
4. Flash
You should be good to go :good:
General rule :
a) if Firmware has only 1 file (it will be either tar or tar.md5) it will go in PDA. Others blank.
b) NEVER tick Re-partition option if you don't have pit file. Generally it is not required.
Let me say (for first time ever ) I AM TRYING TO HELP YOU BUT WON'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU DO TO YOUR DEVICE.
Good luck :good::laugh:

Note 4 PIT Files For Repartiton [F/C/T/W8]

I see a lot of users with partition problems like read and write errors and a lot more
People who need to re partition their note 4 can do so now
so i have decided to post the PIT files in my possession so everyone can have a smoother note 4 experience
Steps to flash PIT files in Odin (Have latest ODIN)
1. Boot the Galaxy Note 4 into download mode screen then connect to PC.
2. This time load the N910F/C/T/W8.pit Pit file on Odin’s PIT Button (Select pit file of your variant) (SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR C Variant SEE POST 2)
3. Load your original stock firmware on the Odin’s AP button.
4 Make sure repartiton is automatically checked in options
5. Click on “Start” to flash the stock firmware and PIT file then wait.
After the process is over
Turn off the phone and set it into recovery mode
– Press volume “volume up, home and power buttons”
– Once in recovery mode, perform full wipe
– Select ‘wipe data/factory reset’
All Files are in one zip
Only select your variant and DO NOT CROSS FLASH
Special instructions for C Variant of note 4
Make sure you flash The SM-N910C OLB (CSC) firmware before you repartition as apparently for this variant has different pit files for different firmwares)
OLB IS THE CSC CODE OF THE FIRMWARE
Example for the type firmware you need
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/60071/N910CXXU2COJ5_N910COLB2COJ5_XXV/
You can try flashing this pit with other firmwares you may have but beware you have been warned
Thank you for the PIT file. I want to re-partition my N910F, but what it means "cross flash" ? Thank you.
NEVER flash this file without rom. My phone got mad and didnt recognize ext sdcard or phone storage.. Trying to fix it at the moment..
E: I flashed the stock rom with pit file, after that I flashed TWRP + Nameless Rom. THIS IS DAMN SMOOTH NOW!
Thank you for wat you do. It work's great.
Request
Please Made one for SM-N910G..

Here You go,
1. Use Odin v3.10
2. OPTIONAL - Incase you need to format emmc, select clear nand partition (only if you experience data/system partition corrupted error). This can be done only while flashing Stock Rom TAR file.
3. Make sure you select both the PIT and PBA files (So that both repartioning and installation of stock rom is done in the same session).
4. Select Repartition and Flash the device.
5. Once rebooted you will get stuck at samsung logo, dont worry, just go to stock recovery and perform a factory reset and clear cache.
6. Might take upto 5mins, but works like a charm.

But don't forget, pit file usually different from device to device, just certain is the same. If wrong pit file flashed to wrong device, might brick it.

Question Can I get A325N vender image?

I root my devices with magisk and make chmod 555 to NVD_IMEI. because of magisk bug. Then I use few week(maybe 2 week?) with no problem. but I trid mount ext4 sdcard(because I want easy to recover with TWRP(but I did not install yet) but AP file is to big so can't use fat32) and it's successful. At next morning(January 28th), I saw signal was dead.(but, wifi is alive. ; I can't remember about Bluetooth, IMEI and is only signal dead or can't attach sim card.) So I reboot my phone( because I just think something crash it) but can't boot and get stuck. so I flash stock rom but can't boot. but only recovery(Normal and TWRP all) work well. So I do re-partition but also not work. I do NAND Erase with magisk patched AP and it booted. but IMEI disappear(of course because I do NAND Erase) and wifi did not work. I flash stock rom again but boot fail... when flash magisk patched AP it boot. I don't know why only magisk patched AP only boot, but I will use patched AP so not important yet.(I don't know what will happen future.) I think wifi error because I NAND Erase so vender partition broke. So I will flash vender image first. but sadly I have IMEI backup but I don't have vender partition backup... So I search internet but couldn't find vender image. Where can I get image? Is because of other problem? Then what and how can I fix it?
vendor.zip is vender folder(partition) backup after I NAND Erase it. TWRP backups of Vender partitions are also fine. If there's anything that needs to be changed for each device, please let me know as well.(ex.S/N, IMEI)
Broken partition after NAND erase? Sounds unlikely if flashing went successful. You cannot break NAND memory itself using software, and flashing with the "re-partition" option using external PIT file will re-partition everything unconditionally, so no broken partition may remain after that. Sounds more like you flashed wrong or incompatible stock firmware. And did you do Factory Reset after flashing?
P.S.: And I still don't understand why so many people need Magisk so badly. Root is needed only for a few quite low-level apps.

NAND Erase is at odin option.
I do root for use "few quite low-level apps" and view and fix or backup app data.
I use "SM-A325N_2_20230113085551_pl06359zs5_fac.zip". It's compatible stock from samsung server. I use this stock to recover once, and I recover it.
Ok ) I have extracted vendor.img from your firmware: https://easyupload.io/vgzftz (if that's what you needed, I cannot understand your language clearly enough). Only I am not sure how you're going to flash it, because it's a dynamic partition inside the physical "super" partition and cannot be flashed directly besides (reportedly) using dd from the shell or using fastboot.
I still think you somehow mixed parts from different firmware versions. I never seen a situation when flashing a complete stock firmware with re-partition and NAND erase and then Factory Reset would not fix the booting. Try going into Recovery and do Factory Reset right after flashing, without allowing the system to try booting.

삼성에는 패스트부트가 없습니다. 그러나 다운로드 모드가 있습니다. 다운로드 모드에서 odin을 사용하여 펌웨어를 업로드하십시오. 또한 TWRP에서 img를 플래시할 수 있습니다.

At samsung, there is no fastboot. but, there is download mode. Use odin to flash at download mode. Also can flash img and zip at TWRP.
If you still need help please be a bit clearer what exactly is your problem, what you cannot achieve. I think a Korean-speaking person would be of much help here but it seems there is none
