No MMS - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Hey guys what's up? For about 3 months now no matter what I do my phone is unable to send or receive mms whether it be group chats or just a picture. The strange part is it worked when I originally got the phone and after I rooted it and put wicked rom v2 it still worked. The problem can't be that it's got a custom rom. I'm currently on wicked v8 if that helps. Could it be a radio problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Only thing I can think of is check your APN settings.

Thanks for the pics man :good: but mines looking the same as yours except mine doesn't display the multiple virtual operator options. I'm willing to try messing around with the settings but admittedly I'm not sure what they do.

I am having MMS issues as well. On wicked v9.1, ktoonz newest kernel, mk2 radio
I noticed that MMS to tmobile (myself and others are okay) and to Verizon (appears) good as well.
My MMS to ATT are not going thru with any consistency... Even small pics dont go thru. i have recieved a pic and tried sending that same pic and it never arrives.
I did managed to get one pic to go thru but when i turn on WiFi it stops working?!?! Other MMS still work with the Wifi on.
I do appear to get them from my ATT friend.
Any tips or tricks from the gang on MMS??
Just plan wierd.

Just got off the phone with T-Mobile.
They are experiencing a "global" issue with MMS to "other" carriers.
Intermitten isues with sending MMS they say. No resolution data. Ticket has been open for more than 3 weeks now.
Just an FYI

Makes sense since every time I get my phone to work mms it doesn't seem to last, but reseting my apn did work for now so trying that might work for you.

Can't send Text Messages

When I try to send a text message I get the following error.
"The message could not be delivered due to a temporary network setup error. Please try later. Error 2112".
How do I fix this?
I'm using the most current nightly rom.
It's a technical issue on your network providers side. How long have you had this issue?

Ive had this problem since Thursday. No data and cant send texts
Try dialing ##72786#.
CM 10.1 doesn't have this feature for the phone from my understanding. My phone doesn't reboot or anything. Also I wouldn't just blurt out stuff like that, I would post a little information on what that does for people who don't know.
My phone is still producing this problem up to this day. I can make phone calls, but cannot enjoy the convenience of texting.

Speaking if lacking information, you forgot to say you are running cm10.1 in the op. That could of helped.
Solution: flash back to a tw rom. And follow instructions giving. That dialer code resets your radios , it'll restart you phone.

What do you mean by "tw rom"?
For the love of everything dear, if you have the cojones to be running a CM10 ROM, you should at least know that TW refers to TouchWiz, as in the stock Samsung TouchWiz ROM.
Have you called in to customer service and have them either re-provision your account and or profile or just see if it's a tower issue in your locale, etc etc?
This past week, for 2 days, i couldn't make or receive calls or SMS but data worked. I didn't come on XDA and start a thread BEFORE calling in to C.S and finding out that it was a network/tower issue in my area/zip code (and they gave me a $10 credit for my trouble).

First, knowing what TW means isn't a requirement for you to root your device. But due to the situation, I know what TW is now. Secondly, wouldn't anyone with half a brain call Customer Service? To elaborate, no it's not a tower issue, it's specifically related to something on the device that is revoking it's ability to access my data.. maybe a username or password? Thank you for your abysmal support LordLugard.
Really..... it's a common assumption you know the at the very least what tw and aosp mean, if you know how to flash stuff.
With that said consult the cm10.1 thread.

Nobody's going to help you "wipe" afterwards. You're grown up enough. Do your own due diligence and give more details before bashing people. Did you mention that you tried any remedy like having your account re-provisioned or that you gave C.S a try, no...whatever..

No MMS

Haven't been able to get an answer on the thread. I'm running MIUI V5 and it runs great except that the MMS doesn't work. My 3g data works fine , I just can't send or receive MMS. Is there anything I can do about this? I'm running on PagePlus (CDMA) with no sim.

ive flashed this rom before on my dinc2 and i had the same problem. the way to fix it is go to the google play store and download apn setting shortcut. to use the shortcut ull need to instal another launcher. holo or adw will work fine its just temp. then add the shortcut to the screen then open it. set up ur apn settings the name is VERIZON. apn is internet. the mmsc is www.mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms once you get that set up go into ur regular apn set and set the same thing to that one but leave everything else as is, then save. then reboot your phone. after that your mms should work. its a long process but its the only thing i got to work. hope it works for you.
I well definitely try this! Thanks

Hmm try creatong a new apn in ur regular apn settings along with the other and see if that works. If not maybe try reflashing.
The only way I was able to get it to work, was to disable MMS.apk through titanium, And set up the APN through GOSMS, but then I could only send, not receive. I wouldn't receive a text at all that had a picture.

I got it to work perfectly on miui using gosms and a different APN I found somewhere.

Hey if u start having problems with go sms i figured out exactly what i did to get mms working in the regular text messages. When innapn settings shortcut go down to mms at the bottomwhere it says test and set the apn settings in it the same as the regular apn settings and then go down to proxy server in both of them and leave it blank then make sure u save both then do a reboot and ur mms should workjust fine. I went ahead and switched back to it and got it set up the way i like it. I realized i was missing miui style and ios7 style but dont wanna pay all that money for an iphone lol plus nothing beats the custimizations of android. Hope this helps this time. Worked for me buddy.

International Roaming with the G3

There is a pretty big bug with the new G3 that breaks international data roaming. This means your free international data will not work unless you follow the instructions below.
Before you leave the country with your G3, you must add a new APN that you need to use while abroad. If you try to roam with the built-in APN, you will get NO data.
Create a new APN and use the following values:
Code:
Name: Roaming APN (or whatever you want)
APN: epc.tmobile.com (no dash)
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.tmobile.com/mms/wapenc
APN Type: default,supl,mms
APN Protocol: IPV4
You can leave everything else empty or with the default values.
When you reach your destination (or before you leave), activate the new APN by making sure the bullet point is selected. To avoid issues, you should also change your Network Mode to "GSM/WCDMA Auto".
When you return, make sure you switch your Network Mode back to "GSM/WCDMA/LTE Auto" and activate the built-in "T-Mobile LTE" APN.
If you don't have data while in the US, make sure the epc.tmobile.com APN is not selected while GSM/WCDMA/LTE Auto is enabled. This combination will leave you WITHOUT data in the US. Using fast.tmobile.com as the APN and configured as IPV4 only will also leave you without data.

I think it's better to keep this separate and make it a sticky. It's clearer for anyone looking for help on why their international data isn't working.
I hope the mods will agree.

Actually, it worked for me. Make sure you use ipv4 and not ipv4/ipv6. Copy and paste the MMSC to make sure you put it in right.

[Guide] How to get RCS on Samsung Messages.

So, I was interested for long time to get work RCS on Samsjng Messages. I spoke with Samsung support while ago. And they said, should work. I tried to figure out abd finally done. So what you need to do. I believr on all samsung phones comes installed Google Duo. You MUST verify your number with Google Duo. It is simple, couple steps. After you done RCS works. RCS on the native Samsung Messages app is already available to some users.
If you don't have it hard coded into your customer.xml then this won't work. This will be because your carrier doesn't support it.
I have seen the lines of code that activate this and its quite a complicated task.
Even then if your carrier doesn't support it it may not work
Forget about it if you're not wanting to break knox basically
If you do have it coded in then yes this method works

I could possibly make a module for this as the method would be similar to how I implement cscfeatures

So basically anyone with the non-carrier-branded stock U1 firmware wont have it hard coded into their customer.xml file right? I mean since its carrier specific and that firmware is not customized by the carriers...
In that case, for my note (U1 model) in order to get RCS working (I have T-mobile) I would have to flash the USERDATA file for T-Mobile on my phone?
IDK I could be completely wrong im just asking because thats what i've understood...
