[Q] Issues with my software, I think.

Hello you all.
I have some issues with my xperia arc. It keeps on restarting again and again and again. When it reaches the home screen after the sony and xperia logo, the home screen just disappears and the phone is again set to restart. I was running 4.3. something version of android. Can someone give me some good suggestions on how to fix this issue. Please, I BEG YOU PEOPLE !!!
It sounds like a home launcher error, unless you know how to send files via fast boot I would use PC tools and repair then if this fails, reflash using PC tools a new install of ROM.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
There is no such version like Android 4.3.
Flashtool and flash stock firmware, either ICS 4.0.4, 4.1.B.0.587 or GB 2.3.4, 4.0.2.A.0.62.
Try reflashing your software.
Download this : http://www.mediafire.com/?rhr59r4o6oarnfx
Then download flashtool : http://ul.to/1jlvqgt8 - https://hotfile.com/dl/179504132/bc8dd41/flashtool-0.9.9.0-windows.exe.html - http://rapidgator.net/file/56696165/flashtool-0.9.9.0-windows.exe.html (if you have it then no need to download)
Extract the file you first downloaded and you will find a ftf file
Install Flashtool
After you installed it:
- Turn off your phone.
- Hold the Back button
- Connect the computer cable to your phone well your holding the back button
You will see in flashtool "phone connected in flashtool mode"
Press the lightning button at the top left corner of the window.
Select "flashtool mode"
Then browse for the file you extracted
After you selected the folder tick "no final verification" on the bottom right cornor then press ok.
After it's done unplug your phone and turn it on.
Your done!
hope i helped

That is not possible
Reason: The fact that the phone still turns on with the sony logo means that flashtool will recognize it it FLASH MODE
How to obtain flashmode?
1) charge phone for a little bit
2) Force shutdown using the method i stated above
3)Open flashtool
a. select the thunderbolt icon
b. select the correct ftf for phone
c. when told to enter flashmode on the diagram that flashtool will display
4) with phone OFF (via method above)
a. insert the mini usb into phone WHILE holding down the Volume-Down button.
5) Flashing will start after that

[Q] How to use Flashtool-0.9.12.0 with Z1c

Hi guys, I'm trying to install RomAur onto my device http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2641067.
1st step is to root the device ON LOCKED BOOTLOADER which leads me to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2634196.
And from that thread I've followed the instructions, placed my 2 .ftf files in the firmwares folder within Flashtool.
At which point I've run into 2 problems. 1st, the Z1c isn't recognised by the tool. So I tried to tell the program that it's just a Z1.
Next problem occurs when I try to flash the device, my specific firmware doesn't show up in the Firmware Selector. The only thing showing is X10 V1 BLRelock, which was already there by default.
Could someone give more detailed instructions as to how to flash using Flashtool please.
If you want to unlock the bootloader make sure to back up TA partition!
Check out my guide, it's more detailed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50176658 (rooting is the same process as Darkimmortal's guide)
See step 8, you probably didn't put the ftf file in the correct folder.

Thanks for replying.
I can't seem to manually update the z1c drivers, device manager keeps telling me i have the latest driver. So I skip that step and carry on.
Stuck at 8. I've tried putting the ftf in /firmware as well as other locations and changing the directory that flashtool will search.
Something else is wrong, any other suggestions?

You can see the source folder in the top of the Firmware Selector. Default is "C:\Flashtool\firmwares". Make sure your file is inside there and ends with ftf.
Also check if the file has the correct hash:
SO-02F_14.1.H.1.281_docomo.ftf
MD5: 259221BCEEB54F3AD7F9721111E0EF1D

Stuck on step 13.
Run Z1C-lockeddualrecovery(...)installer.zip's install.bat and select option 3 [Installation on unrooted ROM] ( URL goes here )
I'm running the .bat file and selecting option 3 but I get stuck with the text saying 'Waiting for Device, connect USB cable now..."
I can't turn my phone on, well I can't tell if it's on or off since it just stays black, but pressing volume up and down vibrates the phone.

Make sure your phone is off (hold volume up and power button 5seconds, if the phone was on it will vibrate 3times and shut down).
Then power on your phone normally (hold power button until there is a slight vibrate). The screen will stay black, this is normal.
Plug in the USB cable to your pc and continue with step 13.
If it still says 'Waiting for device' you either:
a) don't have the drivers installed (check in device manager if something shows up when the phone is connected)
b) didn't correctly execute step 10
c) selected some wrong options in step 11
If it's b) or c), best solution is to start from scratch.

Ok so I managed to sort it out by starting from scratch.
I think it would be helpful to mention in your guide that the phone is blank from steps 13 through to 15. Thanks for the help, appreciate it.

[Q] I have accidentally wiped system with TWRP and now the phone won't boot... :(

Hi All,
My phone was shutting itself down yesterday for no reason, so I boot into TWRP, thinking I should do something there, maybe restore to a previous backup, or wipe cache, etc...
I was in a hurry to go to the game (GO WARRIORS!), so I was just trying to get the phone ready for the game...
I tried the "Regular" wipe, and when it didn't work, I went into advanced wipe, and chose system wipe and REBOOT the phone (BAD IDEA!)....
so now my phone won't go past the SONY logo, because there is no system to boot into
What can be done here? Flashtool won't recognize my phone, and kept telling me I need to install the correct driver, and I can't boot into recovery.
Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!
Try connecting your phone to Sony PC companion it has all the device drivers. It may not recognize your phone when you connect it but proceed to the update/renew tab and follow the on screen prompts.
Nope ,won't connect, it turns on for like 1 second when the cable is plugged in... then it turns off again
is there any other way?
Connect it with fastboot.
To do this, hold the volume up button while connecting it with your PC, the LED will go blue.
Now you can either flash a rom via flashtool, repair it with PC Companion, or emma.
But since you have TWIRP, I would guess PC companion won't help you. You will likely also whipe all your backups stored on the phone by doing this, unless they're on the SD card, but that's better than having no phone at all.
,,,
1) install flash tool by androxyde
2) open the flash tool.
3) click thunder button and select flashmode.
4) connect your phone via usb (if message: device status no found [is ok])
5) press reset button 30 seconds( 1 vibrate and again 3-4 vibrates)
6) and now your phone is connected via flashmode.
7) Download original rom and put in any folder. [PM ME IF NOT HAVE ORIGINAL ROM .ftf]
8) Select "any" folder in source folder firmware selector
8) Press flash and wait.

Xperia shows underneath SONY logo this time though, so something was done to the phone.
ohhh
go to service gsm, maybe your motherboard/sd memory is die.

If you use Windows 8, you must disable driver signature before installing flashtool, for this, hold shift key while restart your computer, enter in the proper settings and choose "disable signature driver", after this, install flashtool, then go to its folder and find folder driver and install the Xperia Z family driver. After these processes your phone will be recognized by flashtool
