thanks for the recovery, could you also post which cwm recovery it is based on in the OP
Is this working with 4.4.2 roms?

Where did this come from?? A new recovery! Going to try this once I get my hands on the tablet. I wonder if it allows flashing 4.4 roms + old roms. Thank you so much! This device has a "recovery allergy", I hope this one will be fully working

You mean 4.4.2 ROMs ?
If it doesn't, it shouldn't be to hard to edit to.

Nop, 4.2.2 . I mean, it would be good for us to have the capability to switch from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 and vice-versa without the need to change the recovery. I find myself doing that quite often

Well call me noob, but when i downloaded the file for the tf300t, it is an img type file. How do i utilize that to install this rom? Sorry for noob question. Thank you in advance.

To flash old roms on kk recovery, you can just update the update-binary in zip

Awesome! Thanks for bringing this to us. I use this on my d2spr. Great recovery btw.

How would we do that? Use the update-binary from a KitKat ROM in a JellyBean ROM?

Oh, great! So can I use this for flashing the newest roms and can I flash it on 4.2 BL? Thanks for info

i've download the file (.img).... I just go into my TWRP and flash this one or I need to flash with the fastboot command (fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery philz_touch_6.08.9-tf300t.img)
edit: ok, i've done the flash with fastboot command. Not the most powerfull GUI i've see, but the BEST by miles for the option and configuration!!!

You can flash from Terminal Emulator on rooted Android:
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/*Your Recovery* of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4

Nice
Nice recovery, It the best Ive ever come across. I Dev for CMB ROMS, I have made a flashable zip, so you can flash it from your current recovery.... I have this posted in the Download tab of my ROM forum... Its not my recovery, all credits will be given to Phil3759 It can be linked and given away as any open source recovery, I only say this on the ok of Phil3759, If he would like me to remove it, I will... Untill I here from him.. Here is a nice and easy way to install the best recovery to date for our beloved 300... Thx as always lj

The changelog says the recovery is "Kitkat ready".
Does this mean we can use it for flashing both 4.2-4.3 and 4.4 roms?
WITHOUT having to swap recoveries when going back and forth from Kitkat to JellyBean?
Thanks...

I modified a TWRP installer with this CWM. Replaced TWRP with CWM on my E986 and it works. Updated adb.exe to work with 4.4.
To install just extract the zip contents and run the batch file.

Not being funny there is plenty of guides on xda to help you. If you don't know if you have s-off you shouldn't even attempt the Adb commands or flashing anything as you could end up with a expensive paper weight. Before you do anything else read the XDA threads on the m8

Problem with CWM and Flashing Custom Roms

Hey guys i need some help. I took out my old Galaxy Grand Duos and thought about rooting it to get Android Kitkat ( I have an International version which has never been rooted before ). I rooted it successfully however I am facing problem with the CWM recovery. When i first installed it I was getting the 'No Command" error. I read on XDA that I need to perform a battery pull in order to get the CWM working. I did that and it worked but it only works when I use odin to flash it. Otherwise when ever I enter recovery I get the 'No Command' error. What should I do?
Secondly im trying to install this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2563557 . When i get the CWM working (by flashing it with Odin) there seems to be an error which prevents me from flashing this rom. The message I get is *Cant install this package on top of incapable data. Please try another package or run a factory reset. Error in (the file location and name) (Status 7) Installation aborted*
Thanks in advance

Hi I have been trying to install CWM Recovery on my phone through it's app through the play store. I have installed the recovery (It has said in the app) but when I boot into recovery it boots into default recovery. I am running Jelly Bean and my software version is GB28. You can't do it that way. If you want CWM, you have to flash a ROM with that recovery attached to it. CM11 nightlies, Commotio, Vanir, Liquid Smooth, PAC ROM all have CWM recovery. That is the only way you can have that on this phone.

Use Mobile Odin to flash the GB27 repack with Agat's recovery, or one of Agat's kernels (either 1.3 or 1.42f).
This is of course assuming you're already rooted and have Busybox installed.
Also keep in mind that on this device, recovery comes bundled with kernel. And flashing a KitKat ROM will probably require a little more reading [emoji6]

Oxygen Os fails to install the OTA when detected root ot any changes to system patrition, thus you have to wait for the full zip and dirty flash over the existing. Fairly simple.
I can still do a nandroid backup and restore stock OxygenOS, correct?

You can clean flash. It is a full zip. I have restricted access to it now as I don't see anyone getting the OTA. So, it might be a mistake build. Lol.
Sent from my OnePlus2 using XDA Labs
yeah i can't get it now anymore either, is there anyway someone can post a mirror link

Hey @gee2012,
I'm on PA's 6.0.1 build right now, looking for a stock OOS ROM, newer the better. Can I flash this zip through TWRP? Just need to get back to stock somehow.
Thankyou.

No, you need to flash the stock recovery.img in fastboot first and then you can flash the zip in recovery/flash from local.

I`am looking for it myself atm, so i can`t help you with that i`am afraid
I (call me moron) am bricked (TWRP is installed) and looking for stock recovery also. Could someone post it, please? Otherwise I'm unable to flash a stock ROM. (TWRP does flash it, but after that it says "No OS installed".)
At least I have to wait for my new SIM cards for a few days anyway, so... never mind...

At least you have a problem that can be solved I posted a request for the stock recovery.img so maybe will upload it.
lol i guess everyone got excited and just installed TWRP off the bat, now that i have learned to pull .img files, its too late for me since i installed twrp instead of booting up, there has to be someone who had done it, i wonder why no is providing it, its a simple task.
