Performance wise they are about the same. So it would not be much of an upgrade (you'd get 0,1" larger screen and maybe better camera but you'd lose microsd, lte, software updates [xperia sp should get KitKat sometime soon], battery [1800 vs 2370 mAh battery])
Conclusion: I would not recommend this trade!

If this trade wont cost u much. HOX has much better screen (im my opinnion even better than S3 pentille) and dont forget that hox is 2012 htc flagship and he have also nice support from xda. In my case i`d trade sp for hox (did i wrote it right? I meant: Sell sp, buy hox.

[Q] plz help me x10, or desire

i wanna change ma device and i wanna choose between x10 and htc desire which is the best between them plz any one answer me , cus i heard some prob wz x10 about slow and prob wz desire in video recordin plz give me final decision and thank u sooo much ,,,,
Well i have never owned an x10 ,just flicked through it at the store ... so really can't comment on it's software capabilities,as for the Vid.Rec on the desire,it's really good, smooth and 720p [but depends on the ROM,on Sense roms u can record in 720p and on AOSP rom u can recond in 480p)
But from a technical point of view, the Desire has more memory,(a smaller but) better screen i'm and really pleased with it i have no regrets about buying it ...
But my recommendation would be buy a HTC Desire Hd ,cost a bit more then the Desire but it's totally worth it if not,go for the Desire
Have you thought that posting this question in a Desire thread may skew the responses somewhat . . .
+1 Desire
+1 for desire. HTC produces really nice phones, imho.
Swyped from Oxygen
If u want to hack your phone go with the desire, read through the x10 forums and you'll see a multitude of problems with hacking it..
Also I have to agree with Matdroid, HTC make very nice handsets

[Q] if someone can help me decide

First of all, I don't know if I've started the thread in the right place....if I haven't...my apologise...
Hi guys, I'm in a dilemma.
1) some one's selling his Desire (6 month warranty left, hasn't been opened yet, void stickers intact, good condition overall) for about Rs. 12.5K (approx $ 250)
2) I also have my eyes on Sony ericsson Live with walkman (I am a music lover) (around the same price)
Should i get a used Desire or a Brand new SE.... I know both the phones are world apart....
i can't seem to find a clear winner in low specced new phone v/s Great specced old phone..
Thx guys.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
Why would you get that SE... the Desire will do what it does + 100x more...

Desire gives you the flexibility of making your custom ROM and customize based on your needs. I always vote for Desire. Have the Desire to buy Desire.
thx guys for all ur help. I finally own a HTC Desire now. however I find the battery drains very fast.....
1) in some threads they say, turn off phone and charge for 8 hrs..then turn it on 2hrs etc.. does that trick work.
2) some forums say that using Juice defender, likewise apps drains ur battery....should apps like those be kept running in ur phone...YES or NO.
3) I implemented few things i found here and there to improve the battery life...screen brightness etc (mentioned at may sites).....do u guys want to share some ideas for the same?
The battery saving roms are mostly AOSP roms. If you are rooted or planning on rooting, those roms are worth checking out. You can also go and undervolt using custom kernels but I'm not sure how well that is going to work with you since it seems that you'll use your device as a music player and that usually require a bit more work for the processor.

There's a How To in General that delves deeply into the recalibration of the battery. Which you do depends on whether you have root (you can clear the battery stats) or not. If not the first post may help you.

Please helpp!! One X new 300€ or One X + 360€???

Hello, i'm upgrading my phone and i can't decide.. OK so help me guys i need to decide within 4 hours..
I can buy One X at 300€ new , or One X+ at 360€
So first i want to clear something:
IF i buy the One X i will upgrade the battery buying the hox+ battery so ther'are +30€ for the battery.
IF i buy the One X i will have a better support , more roms than hox+ ..
+ I realy like the White color of One X , also the hox+ black&red is beauty but the stock is better.
What i need to do?? I'm so confused...
Where are so much differences between hox and hox+ on the support? hox i see has more roms.. sorry for my english
You got all your facts right m8! Don't know why your having a hard time choosing between them! If you are a flashaholic then go for One X as the rom development is fantastic!
Both the devices are similar other than the few Mhz in clock speed!
These kind of threads aren't allowed bro, I'm guessing it'll be closed soon enough

I would go for the One X+ for the bigger battery and if you are into music the One X+ seems the better choice as it has a hardware amplifier for the headphone jack, also the finish in the One X+ seems better. But the One X is still an awesome device. I love mine!

[Q] From Htc One X to Xperia Z , Is it the good decision?

As Xperia Z is 5 inches FHD screen with 13 mp camera back and 2 mp in front , with also going to get 4.4 kitkat .
Is it a good to go decision to sell my htc one x and go for Sony Xperia Z ?!
what I will be losing is sense ui , beats audio and ips screen .
So help me out please ?! Would highly appreciate the same!
*** do not suggest me any other phones not even z1, etc ***
The most logic thing would be to get an HTC one, I have the Sony xperia z but honestly I'd rather the HTC one because of the design, developer support etc, although you won't regret buying the xperia z haha

I need to see my pocket so only please anyone just tell me for xperia z . Thank you as you told me that I won't regret buying if I'll go for xperia z from htc one x .
Please let me know more if screen clarity/quality will be really better than one x, in-ear sound will be better or equal to beats audio sound? Camera is really good in normal and low light or not ?! battery performance ?! and anything else ?!
Ok, sound you may prefer htc, cause they are one of the best at sound, the Sony xperia z in-ear is not bad, but the external speaker is way worse than htc, I don't really use the external speaker, as I have bluetooth speaker and headphones.
The screen is really good as good as htc or maybe better, bigger screen and good visual angles (I'm not English I don't know the word, I mean that you can see the device really well even if you tilt the screen) camera is a whole way better than htc, specially the stock one, I mean If you flash a custom rom you'll lose some features, but it'll still be amazing. I gotta say it's not that great when dark, but, can htc one take a video under the water?
The battery isn't the best thing of the xperia z, it's alright, depending on your use, If you just use message and stuff during the day it may last until 6 o'clock. Although I've seen a really big improvement using custom roms such as cyanogenmod and aokp. I've used pac rom, the phone will be great and you'll really make use of the 5 inch screen, but the battery won't be that great, still, I highly recommend you to give it a chance.
I think that's it, if you need anything else, let me know, btw I may sell my xperia z on perfect conditions, If you're interested, contact me,
Thanks button if I helped
I know you're saying that we shouldn't suggest you other phones. But, have you considered the Nexus5? It's available for Rs. 28999 on the playstore. Almost the same as Xperia Z(maybe a little less).

My dad has a Xperia z and the speakers although clean are as silent as well something really quiet. My one x is louder but to me not as clean. If it was me, I'd go with a nexus 5, HTC one or wait a bit and see what comes out of mwc and the events after.

Ah, I see. I think it'll be wiser to stay with the OneX for now and save some money and buy the next flagship. The Z will be a very minor upgrade in terms of performance and you'll notice that OneX screen and speaker is a lot better.

Ya I better save and go for htc one single sim soon or its next if something like that comes, will not go for dual sim . Damn htc one 801 is good but they copied something from nokia in its camera, so secretly htc compromised with nokia and stopped making it and are just selling the dual sim which is expensive and lacks that camera technology.

And with the MWC so near, we all see phones from other manufacturers as well. But for me, HTC is still the #1 choice.

Hi ! Both Devices arent really up to date , but i think the HTC one x with its Quadcore Tegra CPU and a better and bigger Display is the better Choice , even the S4 mini is the newer Device. Just my personel Opinion.

That depends on your personel usage.Every User is different. But as far as what "normal" is ,i think you will be recharging in the Evening.

I'd also recommend the HTC One X.
Like fares70 said, keep your charger near you every evening . I'd say try other Kernels because they DO improve battery life from my opinion.
Keep in mind that I've got a device with a nearly dead battery.
Bought a battery with a higher capacity and i'll report back about the battery life as soon as it arrives!
