Sorry dude, but don't think this guide belongs in this section, although it's really useful for everyone owning vietnamese Gio!

Well, hello there. I'm confused about how to install CM11 on Gio. Reading page by page on CM11 thread and also CWM 6.0.4.5 thread I saw many people have bluescreen on recovery and got stuck when revert back to stock. That happens on Gio with Vietnamese and Chinese build factory. I have my Gio on Indonesia, on the back I can see 'Dibuat Di Korea Selatan' which mean in english is 'Made In South Korea'. So, if I install the CWM 6.0.4.5, I don't have any bluescreen on recovery? I'm affraid to bricking my Gio, mine already hardbrick 2 times and its painful :|

My Gio is also made in South Korea and it got bluescreen with CWM 6.0.4.5. I need to blind flash the CM11 rom.
In case anything goes wrong, you can simply odin the recovery (cwm-5.0.2.7-ext4only-odin.tar.md5) to the Gio and recover the previous backup.

,you can install cwm 6.0.4.5 and use adb only problem is you will be stucked with cm11 unless you are able to flash with adb other cwm(is possible see general forum somewere)

@Gyovany96
I don't think that I have a Korean/Chinese model. I live in Germany so I think it's a European model. Where can I look to see if it's Korean/Chinese or not?
And it's maybe important to know that I didn't flashed the cwm 6.0.3.2 with the old recovery. I did it with the terminal emulator and the command "flash_image".

Please advise the command you use to flash the Rom. Also any command can flash recovery via terminal emulator?
Thanks!

Open terminal emulator.
'su'
'flash_image recovery /path/to/recovery/ recovery.img'
That's it... it worked on my phone with cm7...
(You can get the 'recovery.img' file by extracting the zip file)

I can answer this question: it is impossible. There are certain problems in work of this Mod. The first: does'nt making full nandroid backup. The second: does'nt flashing boot.img. It is necessary to develop this program still. But something, already is able: root, interface modding, ect....
Howdy.
I have flashed this recovery image and for the first time, can boot into recovery and see what I'm meant to see! Thanks. Previously (2012 hardware) I just hung on the white HTC logo screen.
Now, if I select backup and restore, press the power button, all the text disappears and I'm left with the central hat image... but nothing much happens. Pressing power again brings me back to the main menu. Same thing with -power off. The top option of reboot system now works just fine.
Any ideas? I'd like to backup my current system before flashing WildChild 3, you know - just in case anything goes wrong!
EDIT: immediate edit. cancel all of the above, I'm just new to recovery (obviously!). I went through the main menu a few times, it told me the back button was now active and away I go - backing up as we speak! Apologies!!! and thanks!

1: Make sure your device is rooted already!
2. Install "Mobileuncle MTK Tools from the Android Market" ( Android Market Link )
3. Download the latest CWM 6.0.3.2 based recovery for Acer Liquid E2 (Doesn't matter if it's Dual or Single sim), your Liquid E2)
4. Rename it to "V370-CWMrecovery-6032.img"
5. Place it in the "root" of your TF card
6. Start Mobileuncle and give it Root access
7. Choose "Recovery Update"
8. You should see Recovery file in SDCard -> "V370-CWMrecovery-6032.img"
9. Confirm with "OK"
10. Reboot in recovery -> press -> "OK"
11. Enjoy your CWM Recovery version 6.0.3.2 (Not touch version)
12 NOTE! On some pages the say the recovery flash is not forever (until next reboot) but it seems it is on mine,
i pulled the battery for more then 10 seconds and rebooted into recover, it was CWM recovery!
If it isn't for you follow the next steps
1. get RootExplorer or Total Commander
2. once started, go to your root folder and go into system
3. locate "recovery-from-boot.p" and back it up to your SD somewhere, then delete it
4. now follow the above steps from Nr: 6 to reflash CWM recovery with Mobileuncle
5. You should now have permenent CWM recovery!
Be sure to make a nandroid backup of your system as first thing to do

Using ADB to root your device is very easy if you know some commands you can do any thing you like using ADB.
I just bought E2 so in a weak or two going to compile TWRP recovery for E2.

[Q] Tab 3 Lite (T110) recovery/root?

Is there any way to flash custom recovery to Tab3 Lite?
And root it then.
T210 recovery does not work correctly and I can't find the one specific to Lite version.

I get incorrectly centered letters "T210" and there's exclamation sign in yellow triangle when trying to enter download mode or recovery after installing TWRP recovery.tar.md5 for T210 with ODIN.
Android boots, but I can't enter download mode.
Had to do a reinitialization with KIES.
Nothing actually.
I'll probably port cwm myself if I manage to bet through all these compilation errors I'm getting...

Attached is an attempt at CWM 6.0.4.5 for T110 ported from the T210 version.
I compiled the T110 kernel from sources with a few modifications that I hope will make this work correctly.
I have not tested this recovery since I don't have a T110.
Make sure you have the stock T110 recovery that you can reflash in Odin if this doesn't boot (posted above).
Unzip the attached file and use Odin to flash the "recovery.tar.md5" file. Remember to uncheck auto reboot in Odin and boot directly to recovery when you get the "RES OK" message in Odin.
Please report back.
See my other recovery threads in the development section for how to use Odin to flash a recovery.
Flash at your own risk.
EDIT: Didn't work correctly. Attachment removed (will try again tomorrow).

Zenfone 2- Need To Go Back To Stock Recovery For OTA

How to remove twrp and put stock recovery
Hi guys, can you please help me with this problem?
Yesterday i went for CM 12.1 but didn't like it at all, I installed it via twrp...
So now i flashed asus rom 2.20.40.59, but i want to put OTA and i can't do it with TWRP.How can i put stock recovery and remove twrp? I tried several methods, but none of them worked for me...
Thanks in advance!
I couldnt put stock recovery either.
Please take a look at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/asus-zenfone-2-flashing-recovery-mode-t3096596
the method of flashing stock recovery is the same as flashing the twrp.
Here's a link to the stock recovery collection from the same thread:
http://www.mediafire.com/folder/setyy42t2cymy#dy87k1a0f8m81
You can flash any recovery without PC by using [ROOT] Rashr - Flash Tool.
Search at play store.

I try to flash stock recovery with adb (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) but when I try to enter in recovery I got an Error screen.
I also noticed in the bootloader screen that the product_name is Z008, but I have Z00A with 4Gb ram..
Any solution?
edit: do you know if are there other link for recovery stock files?

Thats so strange about ur phone model!!
I've got zenfone ze550ml, model is z008, 2 GB ram . for recovery I downloaded this one: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/setyy42t2cymy#ma3w61exgyy06
and perhaps u have already converted into stock recovery.
When u get an error screen while trying to go to recovery mode (probablu u saw a dead android bot with an error) press and hold power button, then (while holding power button) quickly press Vol up and release and then also release power button..
hope this helps. i had the same error screen

I tried to use your method but no result then I tried to flash stock rom with twrp and I don't know why, this time work(maybe because I wipe data and cache first, or maybe I was on cyanogen rom and not paranoid). Then i flash the stock recovery and apply ota. Now the model on bootloader is z00A again.
OT: Anyway every rom, with his bugs, is better than asus stock. Damn!

Asus stock would have been good without the bloat wares.
I tried to flash stock rom in my asus zenfone 2, but it said that, "the package is for Z008 but this is Z00A" but my phone is ZE550ML (Z008). I dun know why I can't get back to stock rom using twrp. I also tried to side load "update.zip" from ADB sideload using stock recovery but it also shows error. this time it says "This package is older than the Build"

I don't understand much, sorry...

All recoveries are here: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/setyy42t2cymy
From fastboot/bootloader mode:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash splashscreen splashscreen.img
Fastboot is a program in Android SDK tools.
Now I understand...thank you very much....
Can I use this command line:
adb sideload file.zip (file.zip is the file of firmware zip that I download of asus - for exemple: UL-Z00A-WW-2.18.40.12-user.zip.)
this command line has some effect on the bootloader or recovey?
sorry for my many questions...I'm learning...

Yes, from/in recovery. And better use shortest command (e.g. "adb sideload d:\adb\update.zip") or you'll get an error.

Your bootloader will be untouched, recovery will be updated (if you flash newer zip) or untouched (for same version).

I read that twrp support "adb sideload".
1.entry in twrp
2.select advanced
3.select adb sideload
4.lunch the command line:
- adb devices (for device is recognized)
if this is correct lunch the command line:
- adb sideload name_Zip_Rom.zip
I have not tried it yet...when I will install a new update will try it.
