Hello every one! Just thought I would share my version of the latest Google playstore update. I'm not the original modder I just changed around a few things that I didn't like & made it more suitable to my taste. You can flash the zip file or simply extract & push the apk after deleting your previously installed version. Remember to do a nandroid first, & don't forget to show some appreciation by hitting the thanks button :good:

Either update and lose the mods, or don't update and wait for someone to possibly apply the mods to the newest update instead.

This does your wallpaper as the background then? Doesn't show any icons or widgets on the desktops does it?
This will work with wicked tw roms?

Yes it uses your wallpaper as the background as it is transparent, & it should also work on your rom, but always do a nandroid just in case something goes wrong :good:

I had an Inverted Play store installed that I didn't like and was FC sometimes.. any way I flashed this and didn't get a transparent store but I got the regular store .. I gues black store plus transparent store equals regular store lol.. either way I got back to where I wanted but would like to have the transparent store for sh!ts and grins.. I guess ill try to push it

in case of not installing the app successfully,try this way:
Extract the apk from the .zip. Then delete any old xda/market/youtube apps you already may have installed by root explorer or something like it. Finally place the extracted apk in system/app and set permissions to rw,r,r. Reboot and enjoy!on some devices/systems it might be needed to rename the app to "phonesky"

maybe there is someone skilled in photoshop etc. out there who is willing create new buttons and graphics for different styles,so we can collaborate and create new version like transparent black ones and so on.

maybe I give it a try,but at first,I will try to set apps transparent which I am using myself.so I am working/trying to set the email app transparent and some others,if I have the time.actually I am porting my theme to jvh.

I can't seem to get market to work. I had fernandos blue market 2.3.4 installed, tried to flash over it unsuccessfully. Uninstalled it and installed stock market 2.3.4 and tried to flash over that unsuccessfully. Do I need stock 2.3.6 first, and if so, where can I get it?

It worked flawlessly.

This market FC whenever I try to do ANYTHING. All I can do is view the market home page and the search query. Even trying to view my apps = FC.

Strange.you seem to be the only one experiencing this.what phone do you have?try this: insert the transparent vending apk in the zip of the stock one (delete the stock vending apk inside at first).then flash this.

Hello fellow flashoholics. Now that we have root its time to get some Roms and Themes going. I dont do Roms but I do some theming. Make sure you download the Blackfroyo Icon zip if you want my style of icons. Also make sure you make a nandroid backup in cwm before you flash.
Instructions;
download zip,
wipe cache,
wipe dalvick,install zip,
fix permissions,
reboot.
If after flashing you get a tranparent lockscreen wallpaper just go into seetings, display, lockscreen wallpaper, select wallpaper and that will gp away.
I also include the wallpaper I am using and the clock is from Beautiful widgets "serenity white"

In cwm click advance, fix permission, it will take a bit to complete, hit go back , reboot system.

Theme is great. however i cant seem to get the blacked out froyo icons to work and cant seem to find the included wallpaper any help is great help thanks in advance
The black froyo icons are not flashable you have to unzip them and replace them with desktop Visualizer or your home replacement app. And the wallpaper can be found in zedge from the market its called womans body. original...lol

Here`s the new Google Play 4.0.25 in 5 different black edition`s , 1st in Black/White Text, 2nd in Black/Yellow Text, 3rd in Black/Green Text, 4th in Black/Cyan Text, 5th in Black/Orange Text.
Flash in CWM or TWRP then clear cache & dalvik, then reboot. If you get FC go to settings , application manager/ ALL/ GOOGLE PLAY STORE then clear data. Enjoy. Credit goes to B-boy for his great work on these app s for which I thank him very much and forgot to mention him.

...because the update isn´t rolled out in every country .... but you can install it manualy or you wait till ist getin rolled out in your country ...

Yes it works just fine with Toro, been using it since someone posted a CM10.2 ROM for the gnex.

So the problem is that I lost root after the 4.3 update and I'm waiting for the root to pop up on the forum. But in the mean time wouldn't it be better to just make a .apk so that we all can install it like a regular app. Kinda like an update apk of the mms. What I mean is that you know how Google maps are preinstalled in the system and when an update comes up on play store, it just disables the built in maps and uses the newer maps when we open maps. That new maps apk sits outside the ROM and can be removed or installed anytime without needing root and at the same time adds new features.

Regular app (/data/app) requires its own signature and the way of the update as you say needs the congruence of the signatures.
Is there any way to change the LED color for notifications? I know it's not possible through the settings, but perhaps another way?

There are various apps you can use for that. I use Light Flow (also has a free version).

Dark theme not working
i flashed this and it works but i can't get the dark theme to work any ideas??
I was looking around some forums for other devices and I came across a thread in the Note 2 Themes and apps forum ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2383758 ) so I decided to try out the themed apps posted (Contacts, Messaging, Phone, Settings, Task Manager, DownloadProvider, File Manager, ClockPackage, Calculator Keyboard) though Settings and Phone wouldn't work (didn't try multiwindow) with our device, I thought this was some pretty cool stuff, and I wanted to share it with all of you. This is not my work, all credits go to Winterlove for these wonderful mods. All information and files needed are in the provided link.

Quick question tho, did you also install tw_framework.res along with sec_contacts like it said? I'm a bit scared to replace framework.res
edit: I have tried- Jobmanager, calculator, SecContacts, SecMMS, Filemanager, and Download Provider and they all work fine. ClockPackage works ok but there are some text color issues on some headers.

Yes, I did install the twframework-res.apk, it works fine for me, but to be safe, make a backup first just incase anything weird happens.

I'm modding the aroma installer package right now to work on our phones. I'll post a link when it's finished
EDIT: Never mind, the script was already using generic mounting so it'll work fine for us. Here's a much faster link though, credits to Winterlove for the work!!
EDIT2: I got FC's when installing the white SecPhone...didn't try the clock package or keyboard, but everything else I tested and works fine

Yeah Sec_Phone and Settings won't work on our S3. ClockPackage works fine but there are problems with text colors and invisible text.

Agreed, especially on a white phone. I wish they did it like the s4, where the white ones had a white background and the blues had the blue lol.
