benkxda,
Please add a link to the meteos tool for repartition
Here are links to tutorials on how to do it from various forums (pick your favourite)

Here is the link to the original threat of the maker of the tool (in spanish):
http://www.movilesdualsim.com/threads/meteos-mtk6589-rom-edit-redimensiona-facilmente-data-apps-com-4gb-8gb-16gb-rom.31769/
And lastly, a link to download it:

My personal advice on using this tool would be to not go over 5GB as it would make the recovery backup impossible on the remaining (internal) sd card space.
You might also want to add a link to the petition for AOSP support from MediaTek:

Hi @Donat.Callens, I added the link to the petition in here as well as in the main Fairphone discussion thread. I also added one of your how to links and I chose the one which was not locked (XDA thread hopefully will reopen soon) and where users get several download links without registration and a simple description.
Thank you very much for this great contribution! :good:

ClockworkMod Recovery -- Latest maguro Official & Nightlies
This thread is for the GSM/HSPA+ (maguro) model, GT-i9250, and its international variants.
"Nightlies" and changelogs are posted in this thread each time a version bump is made in the source with no official update on ROM Manager. Zips for the latest official are also posted until another "nightly" gets made. Links to the latest "nightly" zips will be in this post, as well as links to the latest official fastboot images via ROM Manager.
http://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_bootable_recovery/commits/cm-11.0
Downloads
Current Official: 6.0.4.7 (Jan 29, 2014)
Fastboot links: http://clockworkmod.com/rommanager
Changelog link: http://v.ht/6047mo
Use the appropriate fastboot command to flash on an unlocked bootloader:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockworkmod-touch-6.0.4.7-maguro.img
Or use my Flashlt script or Recovery zip!
Final "Nightly": 6.0.5.1+ (Nov 4, 2014)
Flashable Zip / Changelog link: http://v.ht/6051mf
Zips provided to flash in the custom recovery of your choice.
Credits: I take no credit for any of the fantastic work done on the recovery; I'm just making it easier for the community to follow along by sharing builds from builder.clockworkmod.com (or mirrors.reflected.net for 6.0.4.9+) and packaging them as zips with a changelog summarized from the Github contributions. CWM is open source and features ongoing work by koush, cyanogen, PhilZ and many others.
Official + "Nightly" Build Changelogs
Recent Major Features/Changes:
- End-Of-Life for ClockworkMod Recovery, features reduced to become Cyanogen Recovery. (6.0.5.2+)
- Allow selective restore of multiple partitions. (6.0.5.0+)
- Multi-core support "performance mode" during backup/restore. (6.0.4.7+)
- Add swipe-based controls to non-touch recovery. (6.0.4.5+)
- Remove all extra "No" options, create .many_confirm to restore. (6.0.4.5+)
- Reintroduce "Rainbow Mode" Easter Egg. (6.0.4.0+)
- Add gzip format (tgz) to Default Backup Format Menu, reducing backup size significantly. (6.0.3.8+)
- Save last 6 recovery logs in /cache/recovery/. (6.0.3.6+)
- Remove Fix Permissions option. (6.0.3.5+)
- Add Reboot to Bootloader and Power Off options to Advanced Menu. (6.0.3.5+)
- Add rooting of unrooted devices with koush's Superuser. (6.0.3.2+)
- Remove Wipe Battery Stats option. (6.0.2.2+)
- Enable "adb sideload <zip>" command. (6.0.1.5+)
- Add creating an update zip of /data apps to share with others. (6.0.1.1+)
- Add dedupe format (dup) to Default Backup Format Menu, reducing space required for multiple backups on one device. (6.0.0.0+)
Current Issues / Notes:
- Key test does not have a confirmation, so if triggered by mistake a hard reset is required if no USB connection is available to make it exit.
- SELinux in JB4.3+ changes the permissions of su on every boot, so after any boot back to Android you will get a su warning in CWM; it can be ignored.
- efs (/factory) partition and many other important device partitions may now be accessible in the "mounts and storage" menu, so be careful not to format them.
Changelog History:
- Jan 29, 2014 - Nov 4, 2014 - 6.0.4.7 official to 6.0.5.1+ End-Of-Life "nightly"
- Oct 6, 2013 - Jan 22, 2014 - 6.0.4.3 official to 6.0.4.7 "nightly"

- Jul 23, 2013 - Oct 1, 2013 - 6.0.3.4 official to 6.0.4.0 official

Fixed it .. Thanks
since i haven't tried it myself, perhaps someone else in here can answer this:
i read on a german forum, that backups made with 6.0.0.0 result in a bootloop when restoring. anyone REALLY tried to backup and restore a rom?

i did tried it .. i did jelly bean backup then installed aokp b40 to try and see if the files intact then restored then wiped data and cache and restored the jelly bean rom and that is the one i'm using right now
If it's Alpha... it's expected to give a fatal error once in a while that corrupts the bootloader?

Just used this toolkit

very easy to flash
love it so much faster backup and restore!
works fine as intended, very nice nandroid speed! making nandroid backup/restores relevant once again.
Can this be downloaded directly through clockworkmod ROM manager? If so, I don't see an option for it.

Thanks for putting this together! I just bought my G3 yesturday and was able to root and rom without having to ask questions or have issues. This is an essential sticky to those new to a device. [emoji12]
Im afraid to root, yet, considering mines been updated to 10m. So far i read someone on 10m rooted with purpledrake and ran into some glitch. Tried using Stump root but its not compatible, did not want yo use Bruteforce..
Why not use bruteforce? I rooted mine yesterday with stump and it said it could do it with bruteforce so I did it. Why is that an issue?

[ROM][Unofficial][4.4.4] LineageOS 11.0 based Galaxy S4 i9505 (jflte) [2019-12-24]

i9505 LineageOS (former CyanogenMod) 11.0 - ABANDONED
LineageOS (as well as CM did until December 2016) still maintains the cm11.0 / 4.4.4 sources to keep pace with 'The Android Security Bulletin' (ASB).
https://source.android.com/security/bulletin/index.html.
Patches for security issues are released at least once a month to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) repository.
Patches for Android 4.4.4 are not provided by ASB anymore.
This means, security wise Android 4.4.4 is formally dead.
Nevertheless there are a few enthusiasts, still backporting security patches from recent Android versions to 4.4.4.
You should know, such backports are no formal ASB security patches.
Therefore the security patch level of this ROM is named: Unofficial Security Backport "December 2019".
Despite of implementing these security patches by the LineageOS team to its own repository https://github.com/LineageOS,
LineageOS does not provide cm11 builds anymore.
Since I personally like 4.4.4. more than later versions, I build it myself unofficially and would like to share it.
The build is made from LineageOS "Branch: cm-11.0" PLUS ASB security patches, even if they are not yet approved by LineageOS.
Instructions:
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
* I'm not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it!
*/
First time flashing cm11.0 your device, or coming from another ROM
- download the zip
- install a compatible recovery
- perform a recovery backup of your current ROM
- wipe data & cache partitions of your device
- flash ROM
- optional: install the Google Apps addon package

LineageOS per 2019-12-24 status open at LineageOS topics asb-2019.12-cm11
Note
The stock browser is removed from this ROM due to severe security issues, which cannot get fixed.
Get a state of art browser (like firefox) from play store instead.

Known Issues:
a) xposed not supported
Update 2017/08/27:
A fix is provided by Lenny Bard, see instructions at post here.
Be aware, this fix will revert/break some security patches.
b) stock camera HDR mode is unstable
c) In case of xposed, one could experience issues with gesture typing.

Extra Kernels:
#1: LOS 14.1 Kernel for the LOS ROM 11.0 S4
It turned out (thanks to side), the LOS 14.1 kernel works in conjunction with LOS 11.0.
Just a small modification to its ramdisk was needed.
Benefit: Security wise the LOS 14.1 kernel is much more advanced compared to the LOS 11.0 kernel.

#2: 14.1 SideCore Kernel by Lenny Bard modified to work in conjunction with this LOS 11.0 ROM

Confirmed:
Chromecast screen mirror works well with latest official CM build cm-11-10160815-NIGHTLY-jflte.zip,
but it doesn't work with the version provided in the OP.
Thank your for your feedback, I'm going to add a warning regarding this issue.
Two choices:
a) I screwed it up with my local build.
b) One of the patches between August 2016 till now did it.
Either way not easy to find out, at least not for me. Let's see.
How's the variant support on this (CDMA in particular)?

Will the project develop further? If so, whether different from the original CM11?

The only development will be "mostly" security patches.
"mostly" means: Recently the LineageOS team started to rebrand some naming in the sources.
But other than this, I'm pretty sure there will be no feature development.
Therefore, only the above mentioned patches will make the difference to original CM11.

Chances are low, that the security patches will screw it up.
I didn't notice any difference.

i buy a s4 this year(my last phone are stolen) and i never tested the cm11 and i don't know how are battery life in kitkat hahahahha
Try the rom. Give the dev feedback.
This is the only way things progress.
Respect to @grzwolf
Of course it is clear that there will be development of 4.4.4, but you do not plan to add in the way of new features or modifications?

I'm strictly going to build the ROM using pristine sources from LineageOS.
So you are correct, I do not plan to add new features or modifications.
Even if I could find a fix for the screen mirroring issue, I would go the regular way thru Gerrit https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/statuspen+branch:cm-11.0
