[apk] Maxthon HD Tablet Browser apk v 4.0.4.1000 - Droid RAZR M General

When you visit XDA on your phone...
Tapatalk limits your view/capabilities too much for me, & lets you be even more of a nOOb!
Xda app is bug ridden.
Ad blocking via a host file or a script like PurePerfomance & the like is a MUST on a any browser on xda! I tried Chrome on bone stock ...94 and it was useless! It would freeze up until all the ad crap was done, not to mention the "This is a Trap..." BS.
Yet WITH ad blocking it is the only browser, I know of, that does complete editing on xda!
Update
The newest 4.3.5 is a great departure from this. The history cannot be added the Quick access, has an awkward interface and has a short & poor memory.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/themes-apps/boat-browser-hd-lux-screen-brightness-t2821205
Maxthon HD, its legacy is Miren, is my favorite "display" browser.
Stay close to the Quick access / home to keep freezing to an acceptable rate. When a freeze happens just hold your recent apps key (GravityBox) to kill & restart. Quick access is a customizable favorits/home that defaults when you close all tabs.
Best ( mandatory) settings:
Turn everything off including fetch mode.
Txt size: large to ex large.
Web links display: normal
Open links: open in current is a must. Open in new & set as current is a must for file uploads only (moto x no ULs at all).
Zoom: close.
With the proper settings you can toggle to a edit/upload mode and back to the best forum display mode.

Not to be confused with the non tablet version or the Pioneer version which are useless! The pioneer is really very nice & perhaps less buggy than hd, but cut & paste do not work!
Also choose the 2010 style/theme at the lower left.
P M notifications are turned off by default.
Choose user cp > edit options > forum display > linear newest, so you do not have to press that tiny little arrow to get the latest post. I use the forum display changer to go another mode to view the op on a long thread.

I was on my Wife's m to DL this wonderful cam http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2427015 . Her m is unrooted. What a frustrating experience! If I were demo'ing out the same at a vzw store, I would think what a POS!

It limits your view of what is on the forum.
How do you jump to other phone forums? With a browser compact view of forums is easy. I could go on but try Marathon HD. The customizable quick access (their version of favorites) default home page is so handy!
BTW I never use fetch mode. It causes freezing on xda.

[Q] [SOLVED] Gallery App - Sort Images / Change Order

Gallery App - Sort Images / Change Order
Hello everybody,
I'm new to this nice device so I have a question, I already did some research but i couldn't find a solution!
In the Gallery App, it's shows the last picture at the bottom, and not as first. This is very annoying when you have like 100 pictures and you want to Share the last one, you have to scroll all the way down to select it. Is there a way to change the order of the Gallery App?
Tried:
- Changing the order the 100MEDIA Folder in Astro File Manager *not working*
- A lot of research on the web *found nothing*
Maybe i just looked at the wrong place, if that's the case: please let me know!
Thekn
I use the 3D Gallery app and it has a feature that arranges pictures by date so it makes it easer to browse through.
Using the stock gallery app, you can use the right scroll bar to quickly go through the list to the bottom. Aside from that, I dont see a way to reverse the order.

[APP] ImmersiveTaille for Windows 8

I created this software that can merge the traditional desktop and new home screen of Windows 8

}
The application is responsible for making up the new home screen of Windows 8 (with dynamic thumbnails) and the traditional Windows desktop in the same window. This fusion avoids having to switch from one to the other at all times.
Using the options you can choose to set automatic shutdown while restoring the original appearance of the home screen. Useful if you enable the option to see the home screen when the program starts (combined with oblytile) you can have your personal space as an example for your games, software ...
Advanced mode allows you to set the home screen where you want on your desktop and the size you want.
Latest Version::

Changelog:
2.0 :

This software is in english. Windows 8 32/64 RTM (i not tested in other windows 8 ...)
Is it also working on Windows RT?
I do not have windows RT to test above. You can always try, if it works I put it is compatible
I just tried it on my rt and do nothing. it stay in the task manager for 1 sec and then vanish.
I was looking for something that would let me keep my taskbar in the start screen. Thank you very much for this!
Your Sourceforge page says it's GPL'd, know where I can get at the source at?
Awesome work! Loving it!
Fantastic app, I appreciate the work. Got any new features you going to bake into this soon?
Personally, I'd love it if we can make the Modern screen stick to the desktop and not disappear when I click out of it. Is this possible?
Thanks,
This is a rather nice idea.
Is possible.
I'm not saying I'll do it.
But if I do it it will be in one week, or more.
I keep having a problem using it, When I press start it does this (look to the right)
Location of start screen: Fullscreen + Taskbar
I is not implemented when the taskbar is on the left, right and top (for the next update probably).
Otherwise to settle your problem, you go to the advanced menu and you do the adjustment manually.
You can save the adjustment.
That way you can return to the basic menu selection and you lose another location you your adjustment.
Like that you can switch from one to another for further facilitates and load your adjustment.

Speed up Chrome for Android with this Tweak

Chrome for Android is one of the fastest and most feature-rich browsers for Android. But a persistent problem has ruined Google’s mobile browser for many users – janky scrolling.
Especially since Google replaced the AOSP Browser with Chrome as the default browser on new Android devices, people have been complaining about a perceived lag when scrolling through web pages (except simple ones) or swiping and resizing. And it’s not a problem of hardware, as the old Browser was consistently performing better in this area even on two-year old devices.
Now Redditor erythrocytes64 suggested a simple tweak that actually seems to work at making Chrome for Android scroll smoother. We tried it ourselves on two devices, and the change, while not tremendous, is visible. In addition, many commenters on the Reddit thread report positive results.
Without further ado, this is what you have to do:
Type or paste chrome://flags in the URL bar in Chrome for Android
Find the Maximum tiles for interest area (#max-tiles-for-interest-area ) flag in the list
From the dropdown, change from Default to 512
Tap on the Relaunch Now button to commit the change.
What the change seems to do is allocate more RAM to Chrome for Android, and improve the scrolling speed in the process. The caveat is that, especially on devices with less RAM, other apps might be purged from memory sooner because Chrome gets more of it. If that’s an issue for you, try experimenting with different values instead of 512, e.g. 256.
Flags in Chrome (for Android and for desktop) are experimental and meant to allow advanced users to tweak things that are not quite suitable for the average user. If anything goes awry, you can always clear application data to revert to the default settings.

This is a good bit of advice. Giving Chrome a bigger heap comes at a cost

Resources to learn how to build mobile games and apps using HTML+javascript

Ok I see a lot of question of basically how to start building games and apps using web languages. Here I will put together very useful information and you will be able to make games and apps with these resources.
A)Tutorials for Beginners to HTML there are 10 step by step tutorials that are extremely easy to follow.
http://htmlforlearning.blogspot.com/2013/07/introduction-to-htmllesson-1.html
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B)Framework to build a pop quiz app in HTML with a little Javascript here on xda-developers
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785378
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C)Free 2014 calender and Calculator ready made in HTML . All you have to do is add the files to your project
2014 Calender activity
1) Download the zip file here http://sourceforge.net/projects/andromoapps/files/calender.zip/download
2) The main file is select.html .
Now for the calculator
1) Download the zip file here http://sourceforge.net/projects/pfbw/files/calculator.html/download
2) The main file is calculator.html .
These can be used as stand alone apps or best used as an added feature to your app. I suggest you add these as extra activities to your main app so that users will have a reason to come back to use your app example lets say they need the 2014 calender they will just go to your app since they know its in there already. Its all about using as many activities as you can so that your app has a lot of functionality.

For Advanced Users How to Add facebook and Twitter intergration inot your apps.
Ok the facebook intergration is easy , first I will post the code then explain it.
<img src="fshare.png" onclick=location.href="http://m.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http://androidfreegamesapps.forumotion.com/t1136-8-bit-super-mario-bros-spiky-jump-for-android#2464";
style="position:absolute;left:0px;top:80px;height:60px;width:100px" />
WHAT IT MEANS AND HOW TO EDIT
<img src="fshare.png" means I am placing a image onscreen as a button "fshare.png" is the name of the image I used.
onclick= means I am making this image clickable
location.href= means this is the website I want the button to open
http://m.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=" PLACE YOUR WEBSITE LINK HERE "
style="position:absolute;left:0px;top:80px;height:60px;width:100px" this is to set the location of the button onscreen.
Now on to twitter intergration , the code is much longer but you only have to add the link.
<a href="https://twitter.com/share" class="twitter-share-button"
data-text="http://androidfreegamesapps.forumotion.com/t1136-8-bit-super-mario-bros-spiky-jump-for-android#2464 Super Mario Bros for #Android"
data-count="none">Tweet</a>
<script>!function(d,s,id)
{var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?'http':'https';
if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+'://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js';fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}
(document, 'script', 'twitter-wjs');</script>
HOW TO EDIT AND WHAT IT MEANS
All you have to change is
data-text="http://androidfreegamesapps.forumotion.com/t1136-8-bit-super-mario-bros-spiky-jump-for-android#2464
Super Mario Bros for #Android"
data-text=" YOUR LINK GOES HERE + YOU CAN TYPE IN A MESSAGE"
I advise you to just copy and paste my code then make the slight changes. Any questions just ask!! - See more at: http://forums.andromo.com/discussio...itter-share-in-your-app-#sthash.uSundpMX.dpuf

General This app lets you take back control over how Android 12 opens links

https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-fix-android-12-link-handling/
I don't really have a problem with Android 12's default behavior in this respect, but it's good to have options.
Among all the fantastic features and changes that Android 12 brings along, it also introduces some rather controversial changes. We have already talked about how Android 12’s new background app limitations can run havoc on apps like Termux. Another annoying change in Android 12 is the way it handles external links. If you’ve recently upgraded to Android 12, you probably would have noticed that when opening links, you no longer get that familiar “Open with” dialogue. Links will either automatically open in their corresponding apps or take you straight to Google Chrome or your default browser. If you’re not a fan of this change and want to restore the way things were in older Android versions, read on.
Starting with Android 12, Google now only allows “verified links” to be opened in external apps. Verified links allow app developers to ensure that only their app can handle links from their domain. If a link is non-verified, Android 12 will open it in the default browser, instead of showing you the app selection dialogue. But thankfully there’s an app called Better Open With that lets you get around Android 12’s new link handling behavior.
How to fix the handling of links on Android 12 with “Better Open With”
Download the “Beter Open With” app from the Play Store.
Now on your Android 12 phone navigate to Settings > Default apps > Browser app.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Set Better Open With as your default browser.
Now go to Settings > Default apps > Opening links and turn off the “Open supported link” toggle for every app that supports verified links.
That’s it. Now whenever you open a link, you’ll see the familiar Complete Action With dialogue listing out all the apps that can handle that link — just like in previous Android versions.
Even if you’re not running Android 12, “Better Open With” is still a great replacement for the system app chooser as it gives you more customizations and control.

Nice app. I've been using it for a couple of years and didn't see any difference when moved to A12 as the app is my "a must". That's why I was so surprised when I read the the news about A12 unusual link handling.
Happy to know I'm on the right side.
Thank you. very helpful for me 🤝🏼
AutoShare is excellent at customizing which app opens with fine grained Tasker control
