[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids SM-T2105 - Language - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm new here in the forum.
I'm from Brazil and my aunt bought this tab in the U.S. and there is the option of Portuguese language, I would be possible to add something updated in the system? it uses Android 4.1.2. Thank you for your attention and possible help.

What do you mean by something?

If you are looking to get Portuguese, you can download and install a different regions firmware for your device. I believe the European versions will have Portuguese. Go to sammobile.com and search in the Firmware section for T2105. Download the new firmware and flash it with Odin. There are several threads that tell you how to use Odin.

[Q] Galaxy Note 2014 (china firmware help)

Greetings, few days ago I was in China and bought GN 2014. As most of you know in China they block access to play store and install their own firmware. I already rooted my device, and was wondering how I can enable all languages, because currently, there are 3 languages. And also, How to install play market on it. I tried downloading apk. file, but its not working (Installed but won't open)
Help please. (Sorry if this question is too noobish)
I think that the device then has no Google license, making it impossible. There are only the various other stores.
This is definitely the case with exotics, like car stereos(Parrot Asteroid). In this case theres probably a solution, which of course requires root.
Why don't you try to flash with ODIN some of the official ROMs ? Then you will have no need of ROOT and will have all the languages. What is the model name exactly ?

Flashing an other stock firmware works fine I did it on mine.
But expect some little lag there wasn't on the chinese firmware.
I'm in China too and am considering buying the Note 10.1 so I'll be facing the same problem.
With a Chinese friend's Asus Transformer Prime, I flashed an official Taiwanese ROM so that she could access Google Play, but with this method you no longer get OTA updates. Also, as mickmad noted above, you can sometimes get unpredictable performance issues if you use ROMs intended for another region. Only later did I find that you could just install the necessary Google apps while keeping the original ROM. Here's a method devilfun here on XDA used for the Prime, perhaps it will work with the Note:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21094128&postcount=11
The .rar referenced was a package of Google apps, I think. I haven't checked the package myself, but note that you probably need GoogleServicesFramework.apk and Googleloginservice.apk in addition to the obvious ones. Simple_noob may have been unsuccessful for any one of several reasons:
1. The apks were copied to the wrong location before installation.
2. Not all the necessary apks were copied.
3. The necessary file permissions were not set.
If you can work it out, let us potential Note buyers in China know how you did it!
Well when i said more lag I meant that other region firmwares have all the samsung apps which tends to produce some little lag (where chinese firware has only a limited part of these samsung apps.)
Really no big deal as it will be corrected in future versions I am sure (see the example of mk1 firmware for p600)
Not sure for OTAs thought, but i never waited for them anyway on my other devices.
And just to got the samsung keyboard (and not the one for chinese which is different) it already worst the change .... plus getting rid of chinese useless apps, some settings which weren't in english even the language was set to english ... choice between almost any language ... and so on
Thanks a lot to everyone who replied and helped.
I installed needed firmware and everything works perfectly

I have the same case as yours. I am planning to do the same as you did. Can you help provide the steps on how to flash another stock firmware for Note 10.1 P-601 model? Which region/country firmware did you use?

Just follow these steps :
1, Download any region / country rom from this link , preferable MJB being the latest. http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-P601.
2. Extract the downloaded zip file.
3. Extract the attached odin 3.09.
4. Enter download mode by pressing power+volume down , then volume up.
5. Connect your PC/Laptop to your Note , wait till the com port turns blue.
6. Flash the .tar file of the rom through "AP" & hit start.
7. Wait till flash is complete, & note restarts.
8. You now will have a working PLAY STORE.
other download links or torrents for official firmware
Great info supplied in the above posts ! I also currently have a P601 bought in China and would like to change the firmware but the rapidgator and terafile links aren't working so well for me.
Terafile now has a limit of one Gig for free users and rapidgator downloads keep failing mid way.
Does anyone have any torrent links or other download links for the official firmware?
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
I'm interested as I'm in the same case. Where can I download a good English version (wifi +3G)?
Buy a Samsung tablet from the US (or Europe) next time!

You can use T210 firmware on the T210R. You can get German T210 firmware from sammobile.com. Click on the Firnware tab and search for T210.

[Q] How to enable more languages on my Tab 3

I recently bought a tab 3 SM-T210R in USA and it only have 4 languages (English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, I think)
I want to change to portuguese (Brazil), but I can't. I've already tried some apps that are said to enable more language with no success (MoreLocale2)
So now I think I will have to flash another firmware that comes with more languages, right?
My question is, what firmware do I have to flash? Please, recommend me one. I prefer sticking to a firmware with no or fewer mods as possible.
Thanks.
Here is the SM-T210 site for firmware for Brazil. However, I do not know if T210 firmware will work on a T210R device. I do not know what the major or minor differences are. Maybe it is just regional and the 210R is for US users while the 201R is for international users. The firmware is different by name but that is all I know.
Added: According to this page - "The only differences between SM-T210 and SM-T210R that we could find are on the supported internal memory and external memory. The SM-T210 support 8/16GB (two version) and only up to 32GB for the external memory in comparison to SM-T210R that only has 8GB internal memory version but supports up to 64GB for the external memory."
So there is a very good possibility that loading the 210 onto the 210R will work. But I cannot guarantee this to be true. Only someone who has tried it can tell you.
I've tried flashing this firmware with Odin 3.09 as said on sammobile.com but ir failed.
Now I tried again but using Odin 3.07, it worked and it's in portuguese
Thanks.

[Q] Adding languages

Hi there,
i have purchased a Canadian version of the Galaxy TAB S 10.5 (16gb Wi-Fi only). Is there any possibility to add or unlock other languages (e.g. german) in system? All information i got, was about rooting the device and downloading an app like "more locale 2" or "language enabler". But i don't know if this works with the Galaxy TAB S. Are there any experiences with this device until now?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
Maybe you could flash another region of Galaxy Tab S Rom with Odin... but it is at your own risk !
Some exemple here :

You should flash your tab s to hong kong's rom. you can get the roms on sammobile/firmware. just google it
I have a US model T-807T and need to add Bosnian. Issue is I think it uses different processor than overseas models so I cant flash another rom

[Q] EU Rom for T210R?

Hi, My Dad bought T210R in USA and it seems that in USA firmware there are no eu languages. Is there any way to install Czech language? I tried "more locale" but it doesnt work. I was looking for EU firmware for this table t but i could not find it. So is there any way to use stock ROM with different language? My dad is used to stock samsung rom so i dont want to install custom rom.
Just download the latest UK T210 firmware off sammobile.com and flash it using Odin.
