[Q] Root the Galaxy with a Mac & Power button - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Hey y'all
So i know there is ways to root the 4.3 updated version of the galaxy s3 . is there a method to root it by a mac? i really don't have one and I'm hating knox and i want to try a different rom. So can anyone give me a help here?
Also my galaxy took a fall by the power button and what I'm wondering is there a way to fix it? It does work but sometimes if i touch it it starts to act weird and hard press the power button by itself and rebooting too. Can i fix it by myself or what?

help with root on a s2 with broken power button

hello guys and gals,
i have a little problem. my s2 power button recently broke, and after an unsuccessful attempt on fixing the matter, the company provided me with a simple work around solution which is to software remap the power button to one of the volume buttons.
but here comes the problem, me being careless, upon receiving the phone, i was too anxious and proceed to upgrade to stock jellybean 4.1.2. thus wiping the software remap. so i am stuck with a phone with no power button, unrooted and dont know what to do.
i did ODIN clockwork recovery mod on the phone but since i dont have a power button, i was unable to boot into recovery to install superuser and root the phone. the plan was to root the phone and install one of the roms and ask the developers on how to remap the keys in the rom.
also i am wondering if it is possible to ODIN a custom rom with UVLE1 radio in it so i can unlock it via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024514
but it seems like i have it backwards, in order to install custom rom and i would need to get my device rooted first.
i am stuck in a pickle that i have created for my self. so any ideas and suggestions would help. thanks guys and gals!

[Q] Power + Volume down button

Sorry for this very noobish question. My concern is, i cannot go to factory reset screen... No matter what i do, how many times i restarted and remove the battery, i cannot pull up the screen. Volume down + power button only makes my phone boot in safe mode... Im preparing to root my phone so im trying every possible way to save my phone if just in case something went wrong, I just want to make sure that it'll work before i begin rooting my device, but its not working... am i missing something?
resethard.com/lg/g3/
My device is LG-D855 EU/Asian 3/32gb version. Not yer rooted.
I just activated the developers option but didn't do anything or touch anything with it.
Uhm, just tried this kitkat thing when you tap 4.4 couple of times..
Used LG suit and ran back up for my device.
sorry i manage to solve my noob concern, didn't heard the "release and re-hold power button" after logo appears. should have watched the video again before posting here. wasted time composing non sense thread. xD

You have to press power and volume down, until you see the LG screen then let go and press volume and power down again.

[Q] First Gen Bricked Tab

Hey guys I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S and it's my first Samsung. It is brand new and I was just looking through apps then found this mysterious superuser app. I wanted to record and needed to use this app. After doing research I finally found how to root my device and did so. It didn't work the first time but retried it and it worked! It said I rooted my tablet on my computer but when I look down to my tablet it is on the "Samsung GALAXY Tab S" screen also known as the Bootup screen. It doesn't do anything once it goes on. Now I have been waiting for 30 - 45 mins and nothing happened. I have tried re - rooting it and using Kies 3 to fix it. But sadly nothing worked. Thanks for reading this and if you can please help me out.
P.S. - My Samsung is a Galaxy Tab S

Try holding power, vol up and down, and home buttons at the same time and it should force reboot. Then quickly press power, home and vol down to get into download mode. Then flash stock firnware. What root did you use?

Power+vdown+home buttons

I have the Note 5 AT&T model. You can't root those from what I've read. I was playing with it to figure out the settings and if you hold the ( power button+volume down button+home button ) at startup it brings up a screen for custom roms instead of the screen for doing a factory reset if you want. I'm trying to figure out what that's for since you're not supposed to be able to root this model and there's no info online about it, because I thought you had to root the phone in order to do a custom ROM. If anybody knows about this I am interested in learning what it's for.
