[Q] Talkback on built in browser - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I tried the built in browser for the first time and it started talking. It is annoying and I am not sure how to turn it off. I have checked the accessibility settings and Talkback is off. There is no Google TTS running and I am unable to disable the one for Samsung. How do I turn this voice off?

Text-to-Speech won't shut up... but it's not turned on!

For some reason every time I've opened up a browser or reader app on my nexus recently, text-to-speech likes to dictate whatever I'm reading to me. I don't have this function turned on.
I haven't changed any settings on my phone recently so not sure why this is happening... is there some way I can turn it off?! I've tried toggling text-to-speech on and off and also doing a soft reset but no luck.
There must be some way to turn it off?
phones main settings, accessibility, and turn off talkback?

Talkback semi-enabled when tasker accessibility option is checked

So I have tasker and I use it for a couple things, but one thing in particular is I use it so it turns on my screen for 5 seconds when google voice gets a notification. However, in order to have this enabled, tasker needs to have the "tasker - JB" accessibility option checked. When this is checked, it prompts saying "talkback cannot be enabled while airview is enabled, disable airview to enable talkback". If you go ahead and hit disable it turns on "tasker - JB" and turns off airview (though talkback accessibility is still off).
So I was fine with this for a while until I started using my s-pen. Now when I hover over my emails from my email app (not gmail) it will start reading emails as I hover over them. If I turn airview back on (at this point talkback has NEVER been enabled in the options), it still does the same thing.
In conclusion it seems like the tasker - JB accessibility option is causing talkback to be semi-enabled when hovering the s-pen over. I haven't noticed any other apps talking back besides the stock email app, gmail does not talk back.
Just a funny little quirk..
TalkBack with S-pen in mail app
Had the same issue when I installed an app (WatchIt!) for my SmartWatch which required permission for Accessibility Services. So I disabled TalkBack in the Application Manager, guess what, it defaulted to Google TTS Engine (I noticed a voice change). So, I responded like a war dog, and instantly disabled the same... The d’riod hits back, it defaulted to Samsung TTS (another voice change, this time a female). Finally I had the upper hand when I disabled that too. Now it is working fine.
In more 'formal/serious' terms, disable the following three TTS engines:
Google Text-to-speech Engine
Samsung TTS
TalkBack
Please note that you might have to disable any other too if you have more.
The same thing happens to me and it drives me nuts. I wish I could find a way to fix it.
1. Changing home screen pages from the little "bubbles" at the bottom of the home screen makes it say the number "1" "2" "3"
2. Zooming out on the home screens makes it say "Open home screen paged edit"
3. Selecting one makes it say "Home screen 3 of 5"
4. Opening an app folder makes it say "Folder Open" and then when you close it, "Folder Closed".
5. And of course, the most irritating: Hovering over an email with the pen in the email app makes it read the ENTIRE message out...
I need Tasker to get my notifications, there's got to be a way to disable this stupid thing.

Keyboard input notification?

I have a weird thing going on with my sprint (rooted on stock rom) gs3. Out of nowhere the keyboard input notification keeps showing. I had the Google voice input unchecked and it was staying that way after a reboot, but now it turns on automatically after each reboot. I haven't done anything at all, no mods, no apps were downloaded.
How can I make the option stick?
Thanx.
Notice that the Google voice typing setting got checked on its own while I had the phone on.
For some reason I suspect the Google search.

I was only able to shut it off by actually shutting the talk back engine using titanium. In titanium go to "freeze apps" and freeze "samsung text-to-speech engine." Of course when you do this, your phone will never be able to talk back. I am sure there are other ways to do it, but this is what I could come up with.

Yep, that's really annoying when using the stock browser! For some reason sammy took out the Google TTS options.
Here's the 2 options to avoid the annoying audio feedbakcks:
1, install Google TTS, here's the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472959
2. Chrome browser.

I have the galaxy note 3. .. I can't figure how to turn this feature off... highly annoying!!!!!
This has been happening since the s3. Anytime you have anything under accessibility on, the phone starts talking. Samsung has been notified of this and have yet to fix it.

From my phone I selected Samsung Galaxy Gear on the pull down menu. Then My Apps / Installed Apps / FBQuickview / settings.
Then in Set Accessibility turned off Receive Notifications.
Pity it stuffs up the Facebook notifications on your new watch but it stops that awful voice over TTS , Talkback which plays even if it's turned off.
Potentially related. Tts enabled in stock browser out of box. Changing this from the settings menu did nothing. To disable tts in browser I had to enable the accessibility shortcut via the power key. I noticed that even though talkback was off in settings. the shortcut on the power Key menu showed that it was on. when pressed from this menu,it turns on tts. When pressed again, it turns off tts and then it finally shows in this menu that tts is off. The browser then will not use tts. I then hard reset the device and Verified this procedure a second time. Problem solved with no third party software.

OK Google hotword detection doesn't work.

OK Google hotword detection doesn't work at all for me. I can manually select the microphone in Google Now and voice search works, but it doesn't detect OK Google. Furthermore I can't set up OK Google hotword detection from any screen. I can get to the screen where it says to say OK Google three times, which I do, but nothing at all happens. Audio History is on, language is English (US). I don't see any setting on the phone or in Google that would seem to block it.
Weirdly this post was originally only going to be about setting up the hotword detection from any screen, I've never been able to set that up, but at the very least, detection from Google Now worked fine. But just testing it when typing this post up, I realized that even that doesn't work anymore, but it did like a week ago.
I'm rooted but basically stock, no custom recovery. Only change would be deleting a couple stock apps and adding back/home/menu softkeys at the bottom of the screen. What gives? Anyone have an idea?
Simple as disabling on screen phone in settings
I had the same problem and disabling on screen phone in settings fixed it instantly.
