Going back to Stock

I have an unlocked ATT HTC One M8 which I use on T-mobile network. If I want to go back to Stock 4.4.4 kitkat or earlier from lollipop, would I follow this guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2754063, which uses T-mobile HTC One M8 and the CID for T-Mobile? My CID is CID_11111111. Or would I need to find an ATT version of the RUU to downgrade?
Thanks

[Q] Need international RUU tool for HTC desire 816

Hi, i have locked my boot loader on my HTC desire 816 and i need a stock international RUU that automatically installs the rom for me, as i cannot manually do it because of the state my phone is in. i have found a sprint RUU version that automatically installs a stock rom but i am not locked to sprint so it doesn't work. Flash the stock firmware (same version as what is on it now) via sd method and take it to a shop to be network unlocked. Then you can change it's identity to the wwe euro version.
To do that you'll change the cid via fastboot to HTC_001 and flash the 401 region firmware. Insert any sim and away you go..
Hi shivadow thanks for reply,i think the phone must be unlocked cause i could make calls in uk (talktalk) when it turn on it says sim is non verizon. Could you explain how to change cid and flash 401 region firmware, also the phone identity,i really don't know that much but can follow instructions, and if you have any links to what i need would be much appreciated .
thanks again

Never flash GSM firmware on a CDMA device unless you need a new paperweight.
The Verizon variant is a CDMA phone and the European one uses GSM. For further info I'd suggest you to read the ReadMe thread.

I thought verizon was gsm and sprint was cdma?
No. Sprint and Verizon are both CDMA-based carriers.
The GSM variants of the M9 are the 0PJA1**** ones. The 0PJA20000 (Sprint) and the 0PJA30000 (Verizon) variant are the CDMA ones.
Edit: Don't forget that LTE is a GSM-only technology. Just because CDMA carriers need to own some GSM frequencies for supporting LTE it doesn't mean that they aren't using CDMA for the rest of their network, anymore.
