[Q] Sound mod ?

I'm looking for a proper solution to make sound better ...
I've tried it with stock player and poweramp. Using musicbox (on viperx 2.7 atm) also tried beats sound enhancer, but .. all sound flat. Maybe can call it clear, but not enough bass (yes, i'm a bass lover). Using it with an AKG headset, if i plug it to my pc i blows my mind, but on phone .. sounds like sh*t. Clear, middle ok, but not enoug bass.
Any advice for a proper _working_ mod which maybe i can configure ? My old sensation used to sound better even with it's stock headset -.-

Poweramp contains customisable settings that add bass, doesn't it? I use it and the bass it fine, cracking it all the way up is overkill for me.

Tone settings work like ... Well it's flatten the whole. Not a solution for me :\ The main problem is that it should like when i plug onto my pc. But it not sounds like that, not even near (zero bass). And the tone control in poweramp only adds dB on certain freqs - means distorting and still not sounding good.

Strange is that winamp sound better, although no beats support but got a "normal" bass (for me) but it's not clear :\ On stock player & poweramp - clean, but less bass and nowhere to configure .. no poweramp tone settings / equalizer is not the solution. It makes it even worse (seems to disable beats - which is basically an eq / tone preset afaik)

try 3player (cube player)
it looks and sounds great , has an equaliser as well

I am a bit of an audiophile myself and this is my setup,
PlayerPro + OneXtrm Sound Enhancer
It has the MusicBox mod for viper x included.
PowerAMP doesnt support the OneX, just check the changelog on the most recent version of PowerAMP
Backup up your working ROM, flash and read twice before clicking next in the aroma installer and enjoy the BASSS

i need a working beats mod, with proper bass (mindblowing) like my earphonse should sounds xD If i use any other player all sounds flat, tried many .. but beats sound crystal clear, but low bass. That's my main problem

PowerAMP has gone to crap....
Tested PlayerPro for about a day and a half before I bought it and then I found out it has a DSP add-on that works beyond super with MusicBox..
Sometimes I have to remove my earbuds just to regain consciousness lol :cyclops:

[Q] Xperia S Equalizer and Walkman on non stock roms.

Hi friends,
I'm a music lover and I'm near to unlock my phone bootloader, then my question is about the best of this phone: Equalizer and Walkman APP.
Is there any rom (except stock based roms) where i can use the stock equalizer and walkman? I've tried other equalizers and don't have the same quality.
I can use Google Music too but uses a lot of batery in lastest versions, and don't fix the equalizer problem because uses the phone equalizer.
For example, if i want to use Paranoid 4.4.2, can i use the Sony equalizer and walkman app?.

i don't think so ..... you can use viper4android . its a really good equalizer if you know how to use it

Thanks for reply, but don't like that equalizer because when you change a band all others are affected, then is too hard to get the same sound of Sony Equalizer (in about 3 day of changes i didn't got), and sometimes i've got random distortion of sound (too many times)...
It would be good to do a port. It's a shame that i don't know how to port apps.

Audio distortion problem in any CM 11 based Kitkat rom

hi guys plz help , I'm using Andromadus CM 11 finny alpha3 in my htc desire
z, i really appreciate it alot, gives my years old
dead phone a new life but i'm facing a
problem in music i.e whenever i put music in full
volume with earphones on, then
the audio bass gets distorted! comes fuzzy noise
that's way too much irritating, i tried disabling dsp
manager, and all other audio tweaks but nothing
helped. thats not my headph0ne's problem since
this occurs in every headphone like sennheiser ,Sony ,Samsung.That's not the end I flashed all cm11 based kitkat rom like AOSB ,PureKat 2.0,andromadus cm11 finny alpha 5 but nothing changes .I'm really very grateful that our genius developers ported kitkat on this old beast but they should fix this issue.If anyone have idea to solve the problem plz reply . thanks

set your dsp manager to this settings( 16/-11.0 , 62/-8.6 ,250/-5.3,1k/-3.2 , 4k/ 0.0 , 16k/ 2.8) nd enable bass boost with slight nd loudness with weakest nd play song using volume one down from . hope it will help you

thanks dude ,but I permanently deleted DSP manager using IWLT 3.0.10 and it maybe earphone problem.I'm using Samsung earphone & its impedance is 16ohm.But maybe it needs 32ohm and up .BTW it happens sometimes but after reinserting the earphone jack it sounds perfect & thanks 4 the tips I'll try it

Music Stops on Redmi 1s with MIUI and Custom ROMs too.

Hi there, I am Redmi 1s user and I am facing a big issue of Music stop, the time goes on but music doesn't. Usually i thought it might be MIUI problem so tried Custom ROM. Still i am facing same problem. Music not only stops on stock music players but also on 3rd party apps like hungama music, Google play Music etc. If you know the solution please do help. Thank You.

try neon kernel or gods kernel.... it will fix the issue....... but if you're using marshmallow then please disable the battery optimization for music apps n music effects app...... i have also faced such issues.....

it stops on gods kernel too. Will it be fine if i flash gods kernel on MIUI..?

Facing same issue music stops while playing with headsets as well as speaker also.. But i noticed some things..
1)music stops for exactly 15 seconds.
2)music will never stop while screen is on..
3)neon kernel doesn't help

Yeah i've tried that it still persist after 1 hour

I switch back to miui which i dont face the issue

100% music problem solve
i am trying all thing but problem is not solve.
And best thing that download mx player and go to setting of mx player and open audio next select audio player and play audio on lock screen but the problem is that all the mp3 song put in one folder and does not create playlist but the best thing is you mobile is secure because you play a music on sleep after 30 min and you sleep then anyone can use your mobile therefore not take a risk and download mx player

i have this problem too tell me how to fix it

This Bug is Is Annoying.
Me facing Same problem, I used to listen a lot of music and podcasts via my headphones on my redmi 1s, for so many days a bug occur that is the sound stops in my headphones while music player or podcast app still playing in phone, after 30 seconds the sound resumes and again after few minutes the same thing happens. I find a temporary solution for this is "clear cache in storage and rebooting the the phone" this is only temporary, this problem again occurs next day. I will be glad if any guy's give perminent solution for this.
P.S: I'm On "Mokee 5.1.1 release 160222 " Rom.

Try Flyme os latest version guys.
The bug isn't there.....
sound is also awesome (Dolby atmos was pre-Installed)

do a clean install of FLYME OS (Latest Version)
there is no bug for me at all. No mods. clean installed. its going butter smooth.

I faced same prob on mokee ROM. Currently i am on cm13 with gods kernel. Performance is good with no music lags.

The same problem was happening with me. Then I erased and then formatted the "system", " userdata" and "cache" partitions and then flashed the fast boot MIUI ROM.
After that I don't have that problem.

I did a clean install of Mokee 5.1 Release 160309, using kernel stock, and nano Open Gapps.
I've been testing it for a week and definitely haven't faced the music bug anymore!

ro.qualcomm.perf.cores_online=2
And reboot you won't get audio stops but battery backup will get effected as two cores always stay active

Ok then you may not require any audiophile rom to be installed on your phone as quality of audio does not depend on input device (partially). It mainly depend upon your output (may be speaker or headphones).
But sound processing is also a term you should glance at (good in our phone z2 plus as it has SD820):good:

just use custom mod like dolby,viper and shox audio to improve your loudspeaker, earphone and etc. i have used it all in my phone with cusrom miui9 latest build for zuk z2

What I hate Dolby is that it can't set different profile for different sound output. I don't want to apply any eq or sound mod for phone speaker as it tends to distort easily with my taste of sound for headphone/bluetooth speaker. This is the reason why I always refuse to use Dolby.
