[Q] phone buttons in notification bar suddenly appeared - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello!
when i get a phone call there are some phone buttons in my notifications. i don't know where they come from. i've never had them before. it is a phone button, a mute button, a speaker button and a quit button. and there is a call time counter running on and on, even if i quit the call. none of the buttons do anything when i press them. only why i am able to make them disappear is a reboot. i dont know where they come from. i installed a lot of xposed modules these days, but i cannot find any setting in the modules i played arround with about these buttons.
anyone know them? how can i disable them. i even searched in the dialer settings, but no solution.

touchscreen deactivates with speakerphone on...permanently???

Hi Guys,
Ive noticed that sometimes when i use the speakerphone (either by pushing the on-screen button or flipping the phone over), it works fine. However, once the call is over, the touchscreen is deactivated it seems. Nothing works. Cant press anything. As for the hardware buttons, the windows button works, and the power button works. The volume, call, and end call buttons do nothing.
Not sure if this is relevant, but I only notice it if the phone was flipped over (with touchscreen down). If i used speakerphone with the phone facing up, doesnt seem to happen.
The only ways ive found to fix this are to soft reset with that little button under the cover, or to miss a call. (obviously, if a call comes in, I cant answer it as none of the ways you'd use to answer a call still work). After the call is missed though, the touchscreen comes back to life.
any ideas??
thanks
havent notice quite this.. but something similar...
when i wanna make a quick phone call
i open the keyboard type name of contact,
select the contact and hit enter to make the
phone call.. when i close the keyboard to turn
the phone to my ear, half of the screen looks
normal and have of it looks all MESSED UP...
im sure is not a hardware problem or anything.. ( well i hope so )
i think is not bcuz it only do it on that situation..
besides that my screen is normal..
bump
phone been around a while now...maybe someone else noticed this problem...
I've noticed that sometimes my phone will go into "sleep" mode like when you quickly press the power button. Maybe a quick tap of the power button to wake it up will help.

Am I just missing it?

I've tried several custom roms, but unless I'm just blind, I cannot seem to find a button that allows you to make outgoing calls without going through several menu options to bring up the phone app. Shouldn't there be a button on the main screen that lets you make calls?
Green call hard button right under the screen.

Thanks. I got so use to the soft call button on the stock rom that I forgot about the hard buttons altogether.

[Q] Mute ring not functioning ??!!!

Hello everybody...
When I tap the "mute ring" button during incoming call, it simply not works. Animation showing that screen "recognised" the tap, but it is not doing its function. The Ring call is still "on"...
I am googling for a couple of days and can't find any solution....
Anyone?
Any idea is a great help...
Thanks
46 views and nobody has an idea or my case is unique?
OK...I will extend the problem description....
I tried to "bypass" the problem by installing some apps which work on their own.
For example, Phone Ex 2.2 when I tap the "mute ring" button it does the command "Answer" wtf????
There was another app which I can't remember the name and which is originally designed to program all the hardware buttons as per user's taste, but the application didn't have any "mute ring" option.
So...I think I can not resolve the problem by installing another application, so I beleive there is somebody on this forum that can help me in a different way....
To mute the ringer you can push the down volume key, this is what i do and it always works. This is actually a shortcut button for most phones if i'm not mistaken

Well it WAS on previous models of HTC and blackberry, but it is not the case by default on my device.
I have the same problem with my Touch2 and when this happened, my call (hard) key also not functioning. I have to do a soft reset and it came back to work again. I guess u have to soft reset your phone every couple of days so that it cleared out waste memory which effected this function.
After i soft reset mine, it works again but after using for awhile it will have the same problem. Dont know how to permenently fix

Couple questions new to phone

Coming from the EVO I have a couple questions.
- Is there a way to get the phone when done with a call to go to the home screen? My EVO was like this and I have searched through settings and can't find anything.
- Also I drive a lot so when I press my bluetooth button on all my past phones the phone would wake up and let me make a call without touching the screen. But when I press my bluetooth button the phone doesn't even wake up. Sometimes the vlingo app will come on and tell me how many calls I have missed, but it doesn't let me make a call through the headset.
If I reach over and press the power button then the phone turns on and the vlingo starts up. I don't care for the Vlingo but will live it until I get brave enough to root to freeze it.
But is there a setting my phone will wake up the screen when I press the call button on my headset?

Volume stuck in mute

Hey guys really need your help. I've noticed that my volume is getting stuck in like a mute mode. It doesn't ring at all and the volume controls do not work. I primarily notice this especially after I have connected a bluetooth device to my phone. I tried doing a search and couldn't find any info on this. I did find the issue pertaining to older phones but their recommended "closing all apps" didn't fix the problem. The only way I can get my volume to function again is to power cycle my phone. Downside, is unless I'm constantly monitoring my phone, I don't always notice that it has happened and have missed several calls as a result.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
if you press the volume up or down and then press the speaker icon (that appears on top left) one or two times and then you can increase the volume and decrease as normal, it will solve the problem, i dont know how i got stuck with mute but this solved my problem at least
