[UPDATED] A slightly different slim metal bumper case, working magnetic cradle port. - Xperia Z1 Accessories

Hi guys, I have just bought a slim metal bumper for my Z1. Here is the link if you want it too ==> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Luxury-De...lePhonesCasesPouches&var=&hash=item2c76d1781e
----------------------------------------It is different from both this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2609711&page=2 and this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2527493 , since the first one is a LOVE ME! model (personally don't like it, sorry) and the second one I don't know, it looks pretty cool but the owner said that the magnetic charger needs to be cut in order to make the phone charge properly.
----------------------------------------
Actually mine is better, with this one you have still at least 1mm of gap between a flat surface and the front/back of your phone, there are some little silicon felt to grip the phone inside the bumper and protect it from self-scratch.
Last for the best : all ports are made for our phones functions BUT! My magnetic cable is working without any modifications or cuts, I just have to plug and there it goes!
I don't know if my cable is different from the Sony one or if it is a stock Sony one actually (it was branded Sony DK31 magnetic cable so who knows).
I can recommand it without reserve, the seller is trustworthy and shipped it really fast, 5 days from UK to France. The bumper itself is very light but still feels sturdy. Vastly positive impression.

Here you can see the phone being charged.
I think you guys might like it too. Please let people know if you buy it and your experience with it.

This case looks good but will make volume button harder to press especially camera button.

Hav exactly this one...bought on aliexpress...its pretty good and all, sturdy and with rubber on the internal side to protect the phone from shocks, but i hav to say, makes the phone a little bit too big for my taste, when i take it out the case i remember how beautiful this phone is...and its too big to fit in my magnetic dock

I have the same metal case in black:

This is true for the volume button, when you want to find them on the go it is harder to press, but the camera button is not this hard to press, I was surprised.

You're right! Our phones are so beautiful when naked. But I don't trust the skinomi protection, it cannot withstand falls I think so it might be the "best compromise" for us.

REVIEW HERE By Nimroth
it fits perfectly and the cutouts on the side are made well. the phone fits very tight and doesn't move in the case (like in the zenus skin air jacket i reviewed some pages ago)
PROTECTION
if you are searching for an everyday-protection against scratches and some little drops this case should be your choice.
as you can see on the pictures the top and bottom of the phone are not covered by the plastic.
but that doesn't bother me because (unlike the samsung mesh-case) it fully covers the corners of the phone.
so if it drops on flat ground it will be fully protected. (not from great hight of course)
quite hard to explain but i tried to show it to you in the pictures below.
i tilted the phone to 45° and then take a shot that is showing that there is still some space between phone and surface (light coming through).
the camera is also covered very good so no scratches should get on it.
This hard case really smooth and nice feels in hands
can you post some pictures of the front?
is in silicone or hard plastic?
thankx
Hey Danilo I thinks this isn't the which one we were talking about.
This seems to be an hard case, something like polycarbonate...

it is a hard plastic case, not tpu case.a bit difficult remove from a huge phone as galaxy note, but it is very good smooth feels in hands and very good case.
add doesnot bulk to phone very thin good quality hard case
try this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150703885...85474&_sacat=See-All-Categories&_fvi=1&_rdc=1
What about the heat? My Note does get a little hot in silicon case when playing 3D games or benchmarking. I wonder if this case might be better or not?
"as you can see on the pictures the top and bottom of the phone are not covered by the plastic."
from your photos I cannot see the top and bottom ^^
But I want to know if it can fit the Note when flipcase is on?
I really like this case but isn't it too slippery? Grip is pretty essential
for the big note.....
Nillkin Case
My Nillkin case just arrived today. The top and bottom portions are revealed. Other than that the quality and build is great.

New Momax iCase Pro hybrid case

It's the closest thing to a CaseMate tough I've seen on sale for Galaxy Note
At Mobile Fun for £16.95 + £3 del.
Here's the sales pitch:
Combining a black shock-absorbing rubber edge with a transparent black plastic back, the Momax iCase Pro provides unrivalled protection for your Samsung Galaxy Note.
Yet again I'm a Noobe could someone be so kind as to post a link & photos from mobile fun.
There's no holes for a lanyard which is a deal breaker for me but does look like a nice quality case, I wonder if the holes near speaker and the hole for the S-Pen could support a lanyard?
Simply enter the following via Google to find case: momax-icase-pro-for-samsung-galaxy-note-black

Seems fine indeed...
Thanks Beretta93
I should also add that the case is Pre-order only at this time.
I'd appreciate any feedback on the above case and any alternatives for those seeking a hybrid case at the moment.
Im not impressed by the momax icase pro, it doesnt offer double protection like the case mate tough case does. All it has is a hard plastic (pvc) back glued (sometimes badly) to the tpu frame/bumper. It's an okay case though, just not as good as the nillkin tpu case at twice the price...
Hope this helps your decision making.
I've had no experience with momax icase pro before, your reply resolves much indecision thank you
Now I'm left with the choice as to whether to wait for Case Mate tough release date or go nillkin tpu case.
Looks very similar to the bubble case but with a higher price tag.
hi. i'm using the nillkin soft case now, but changing it to some other brand as the cutout hole for the microusb port is just not big enough. the original charging cable cannot be plugged all the way in thus not charging the phone.
I'm sorry to hear that. thanks for the heads up.
I think I'll stay away from nillkin soft case in that case, pun not intended.
Thought I would share my thoughts to help people as I fell into buying it as it was cheapish.
I am having lots of problems with the power button, the case seems to be constantly resting on the power button on the phone causing it to reboot. Have tried putting the phone in multiple times to ensure that it is on properly but always having problems.
The buttons are super hard to press too.
My advice is to avoid this case at all costs.

Video Review: Tridea Bumper Case!

Hey guys,
Got my hands on the Tridea Tedoori Bumper case, this is a TPU bumper that wraps around the sides and corners of your Galaxy S III to provide a tight fitting but slim case alternative. As a bumper, it leaves the front and back exposed, however you can pair this case up with a set of skins and have maximum scratch protection.
Check out the full review below for more info:
another nice video mate, keep going
Thanks for the review. The one major flaw of bumper cases on a phone like the Galaxy S III is the speaker volume is greatly lowered when the phone is lying face up on a flat surface. Due to the location of the speaker, the sound waves get trapped under the phone since the bumper case basically forms a seal against whatever flat surface the phone is lying on. I have a Belkin bumper case that looks really great, but I'm going to have to switch to another design because of the severe volume reduction (I don't want to leave the phone face down all the time). I would estimate the volume is lowered by about 80%, enough to miss hearing a phone call or notification if I'm in the next room or something.
nice review, wanted to order this actually, still thinking because of the bumper style exposed back , will be great if its a normal cover up casing

Thanks, it isn't a bad case as long as you know what you're getting into. I'm rocking it around my house because it's comfortable to hold and don't have to worry about dropping it.
You plan on doing one for the beetle case?

I whole heartedly agree. It hit the recycle bin within 5 minutes of trying it out. I recommend the Rock Quicksand case to anyone looking for a quality case.

LGOG Premium S Curve TPU Case

Hi guys,
Just wanted to write a quick review of a case I bought on eBay
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190823724544?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Fits all variants of the OG except for the AT&T OG (8MP camera)
Very good for $7 ($3.50 each) - I bought the black and blue.
Cutouts for camera / flash / speakers / ports well done.
Cut out for 3.55m jack more than enough to accommodate jacks with the big outer shell, if you know what I mean.
Case fits very well. No chance of falling out.
Installation was very easy.
The finish on the back feels good to the touch and rubbery side grips are good, much better than the nude slippery glass of the OG to hold now lol.
If you want a cheap case that covers the back & sides, this is the one to go to. Good for Aussies who are looking for a case!
Here's some pictures I took of it

Yeh I bought this case in a local mall close by to me.. Was surprised to see it considering the lack of cases available. Have had it on my G for the past few months and its been a treat.. Actually have dropped my phone twice with it on and its been perfect so far
My only gripe is that the elevated edges makes my screen get dirtier faster and makes it harder to clean.. Otherwise its a great case
Oooo I like the purple colour in the auction pics, but then they have a video of some silicon cases and they look ugly as and really transparent? Wonder if they would ship to NZ
im using the same case but a transparent 1  got it FOC from the stall
L-01E
Do you guys think this could fit a Japanese-spec OG; an L-01E?
Would it rip into the sceen protector and cause bubbles like most of my other cases?
Nope.using this case since i bought the phone.i like it because it's protecting the silver frame.

Just got me a black and blue one, perfect, except the buttons are a bit touchy but you get that.
I've got this tpu case and it shows a smooth finish, the holes are really well done, but I fell the buttons a bit dull, I don't know how to explain. For example, I have some difficulty to take screenshots pressing the Vol Down and Power buttons at the same time. Power button is not so easy to use.
This case looks like to offer a very good protection to the phone. I hope I won't need to prove it...
@sianghung, From where did you buy the transparent case?

im from Malaysia, the stall gave it to me FOC.
I have the same case (black). I love it. Fits perfectly. Recently I accidentally dropped my phone on a concrete surface. If I was without a case, the glass or the metalic part were goners. But with this case it was fine. Just wiped the dust.

Hey, fellow Vancouverite here... Can you give me a hint where you found it locally? I know it's been a while since your post, but who knows... I have another case, but wouldn't mind getting this one, as this is exactly what I used for my SGS2, and I loved it. Thanks in advance!
I use this tpu case.
it offers good protection in falls, great price.

Krusell kiruna case review

After deliberating for a little while on what case to get I decided on the Krusell Kiruna one.
I wanted a case that had access to all the ports and the magnetic charging point but also had magnetic closing as well. This case has all of that with only the sim slot blocked off.
The case is made of a high quality leather and feels pretty good certainly makes it less slippy!
Overall pretty impressed with it.
I got it from Amazon for a bit over £20 and had free prime shipping so all good

Hi!
I have this Krusell Kiruna case, and it's a great case!
No doubt about it! But I have an issue that I wonder if anyone else have the same.
Every now and then the screen stops responding correctly. It presses wrong letters when writing sms, and difficult to access the things I want. The screen starts flickering and switch screens and stuffs. When I slide the phone out of the case, the problem is gone. Anyone else recognizing this issue? Is the screen somehow disturbed by the case? And is there a way to solve it??
Best regards
a bumper would be nice why buy a premium built quality phone then hide it in ugly case ! man thats too ugly am sorry to say that !
