Specific case - Xperia Z1 Accessories

Hi, i'm looking for a case for my Z1 that doesn't have those front flip protecting the screen, but have "pockets" to hold cards. Does this exists?

Are you thinking something along these lines?

Or a case with cars slots on the back of the phone?

Official Flip Cover questions please

Can anyone upload some pics of it on please.
Does it fit perfect?
How's quality, does it scuff easily?
Does it fold back on itself so you can use the phone like this?
Does it stay shut ok, is there anything to keep it closed? Im a bit worried it might end up getting folded the wrong way so doesn't stay closed properly? Would be great to have an iPad like smart cover...
I'm about to order a white S3, but am going to get the blue flip case as I like the contrast between the two, anyone have this combo?
I have the official white flip case and it looks really good. You remove the original back off the galaxy siii and clip in the flip case instead. A perfect fit too. Very professional looks good to me. The top flip part does fold behind back of phone easily! seems designed to fold that way too!
When flip cover is closed over screen it doesnt fasten in place but it does stay in place well. Only bought phone and flip case yesterday..

I ordered a flip case with my vzw preorder, but I'm going to get the wireless charger when it releases and that requires a unique back cover that I suppose will then make the flip cover useless to me....
There's a review here:

Also be aware that, according to reviews on Amazon.de, you cannot see the LED through the flip cover.

NO. WAY!!!
/sarcasm
I got mines for free from P4U they gave me a 32gb card and an original case i was shocked i thought it would be a cheap case lol..
It fits perfect the interior for the front is a soft cloth like the ones you get when you buy a screen protector..
The outside is hard plastic feels awesome to the touch.. It does cover the LED so you will miss your notifications if you do happen to miss it. But at in the dark you can see it..
Oh and the back bit adds a bit of weight to it so your phone feels alot more heavier not too heavy though makes it feel perfect.. Back plate isn't flexible either it's solid..
I've not had any scuffs at all in the last 4 days i have been using it so no it doesn't get ruined easily I guess..
Other then that it's a brilliant case..
Has anyone purchased the blue version of the flip case? How does the shade of "chrome blue" compare to the "pebble blue" of the original back?

My idea is to get the white S3 and buy the blue flip cover, I think they look good together
The problem with the official flip case is that it actual replacing the original back cover and it is made from the same material just like the original back cover.
The display is protected but the back side...well...unprotected...you can still scratch the back.
After several weeks or months the back cover will still be damaged and it will look ugly with all that scratches...and then what? buy another flip cover?
Has anyone tried to combined the official flip case with another case or bumper or whatsoever to protect the back cover?
With this for example:

I would like to see a drop test with the flip cover vs no flip cover and see if it actually protects the screen, otherwise it doesn't worth anything.

Beside the fact that it does not protect the back cover.
I have also some doubts regarding this issue.
The thing is, there is lock or snap on mechanism on the flip case.
Meaning, the flip can be opened very easily...I dunno if this is still reliable if it falls like...not opening during fall and leave the screen unprotected.
Note:
Providing some degree of protection during fall, it is impossible to protect it to 100%.
Hantec just emailed me they have stock of the white flip in the UK, £22.79

No offense guys, but this is simply one of the worst ideas I have ever seen for a phone accessory. Why in the hell would anyone want to add more steps to accessing their phones? I can understand it with a tablet, where you're never in huge hurry to start working on something; but on a phone?!?! Flip-phones are extinct for a reason guys.

This. I have a flip-cover for my OG Galaxy Tab, but I've never been able to understand why you'd want one on a phone either.
Flip covers provide very little protection against drops; make it more inconvenient to instantly access your phone, and have an annoying floppy flap on the back when open during calls.
The only pros I can see is that it looks "adult", and that some flip covers fold to act as a landscape stand.

So you are also against leather pouches/sleeves?
It provides screen protection for when the phone is in a pocket.
No, the flip cover doesn't protect the back - it's not meant to since it is a replacement back. I.e. the mere fact that you can easily replace the back with a new one means that rather than put an additional cover on there you could just treat the back as a cover and replace it if it gets scratched.

Exactly.
I don't like cases in general. The back cover is a replacement as you say, the front flap is to protect the screen in pocket. This is exactly what I want. I don't want a bumper, back case that adds bulk to the phone. It's slim and light for a reason.
My other option is a pouch, so I can again protect in pocket, but use the phone naked

I have another solution (works for me): Put your keys and your change in your *other* pocket, then you don't need any pocket screen protection. As an added bonus, the screen emerges from your pocket with all the fingerprints mostly wiped off.

are there any flip cases with a foldable front cover?

Was thinking of getting a flip case but dont want to have the cover flapping around when im taking pictures.
Oh my... Your choice of words. LoL!!
What um...? Exactly what do you mean foldable front cover? Because normal flip cases open like books. Do you mean you want the front case to be able to fold twice?
And I'm a bit confuse on how you're describing "other" flip cases. The case is not supposed to open unless it's cheapo. LoL!! But yea... I'm a bit confused on what you're asking.
Oh wait!! Do you mean the front cover wraps around the phone twice? So it folds over the front then around and connects on the back of the phone? Kinda like wallets? In that case you should look for wallet cases.
IDK... =.S
EDIT: So after re-reading I understand what you mean. My Nexus 7 has a flip case. If I hold it like I'm taking pictures, the flap kinda just hangs there. So you want the front to be able to fold so that way you can fold it and it doesn't get in the way of the camera while it's folded backwards, I'm guessing.
I don't see how you'd be able to accomplish this. Mainly because I've never seen a case like that. Also there doesn't look like any way to hold the case and also prevent the case cover from getting in the way of the camera lens.

Replace back cover with something softer like leather

Hey everyone.
Im looking for an accesory for my SGS3. I want to replace the plastic back cover with another one made from a different material, like leather if possible. Something like the back of the new Nexus 5 or the new back cover of the Note 3. Something that feels better to the touch and that is easier to hold and doesn't feel slippery when your hands have sweat.
Does anyone have any ideas? Has anyone replace their back cover with something different?
Suggestions?
Or maybe install something on top of the back. Another solution would be a case that protects the full phone.
Thanks.
There are vinyl skins available.
Search this forum for info..
I had the same need. The standard back was too slippery. I tried various and then found one called the Incipio Feather. It's a very thin case which clips on and has a rubberised feel (a bit like the back of my old HTC Desire). You hardly notice its there, but it is a big improvement over the standard back.
On amazon UK its there for £5.99...
Just try glueing leather

Looking for a custom image case with a card holder

Okay, I've been looking around forever for this-
So I have my school ID to get into buildings, and a lot of people have phone cases with a little slot in the back to place a card. They just put their IDs in the slot, so they can just tap their phone to unlock the door. I also know some people who just have more rubbery phone cases (TPU I'm guessing) that you can slip the ID behind the phone, and it not loosen the case up. Right now I have a hard plastic case, and trying to put my ID behind it doesn't work. Would a TPU case be flexible enough for me to put my ID in the back without messing up the fit? I know I could just get a case with the card slot, but I want a case I can get a custom image on the back of, and I've only seen that on hard plastic / TPU cases. Thanks for any tips.

A transparent TPU would do the trick for you but you should bear in mind a couple of things:
1) The HTC One back is not flat but curved
2) Thickness of the card (if it is too thick it may push away the TPU case from the edges (because of point 1)
3) Thickness of the TPU case (too thick it will not let you see through, too think it may not be good for your phone
I think the best course of action would be to go find a TPU case with the phone and the ID and just test.

As poster said above, this phone as a pretty concave curve that can either damage the case or the ID card. Best to get a "wallet case" like linked above and use the front of your phone to utilize the ID instead of the back.

Question about cases vs mods

Hi, I just got my Z2 Play, and I was surprised that it doesn't come with anything to cover the pins in the back with the phone. I'm trying to decide between getting a run-of-the-mill case or the official moto backplate, but I had some questions that you might be able to answer which might make my decision easier.
1) Is the official moto backplate supposed to be considered a protective accessory, or is it purely cosmetic? I imagine it protects the back, but doesn't do as much as a case might to protect the front? Or is such protection unnecessary?
2) What's the point of the cases which leave the back pins exposed? I imagine any mod that actually needs to make use of them actually needs to be flush with the back of the phone, and that the case needs to be removed in order to make use of the pins. If that's true, why leave the pins exposed instead of covering them up along with the rest of the phone?
Thanks for your help everyone.
Hi, there is no need to protect the pins, the Moto shell doesn't offer protection to the phone in general, only protects the back of the phone from scratches, it's main function it's only esthetic, about the hole in the most cases I am agree with you, it is a stupid thing because with these cases it's impossible to use mods, I found one without this hole, it's brand is mtlider, I bought it in Mercadolibre, I am in Mexico

Verizon offers a bumper case (wraps around the edges only) that allows you to pop on Mods without removing the "case". From what I've read it is one of the few (if not only) "cases" that allows use of Mods without removing the case. I use the wireless charging back almost continuously as it offers SOME protection and doesn't add much in the way of bulk. When (note...not if...) I drop the phone the bumper protects the screen from making direct contact and the Mod absorbs any impact to the back side of the phone, often popping lose in the process. It is not perfect but it does the job.
Verizon bumper plus a moto mod works but IMHO is a tight fit. I had to remove my wireless charging mod a few days ago and the bumper broke on the bottom at the charging port hole -_-
