ViPER4Android FX
FX is the main control panel of ViPER’s Audio with all popular ViPER’s Audio settings.
ViPER4Android XHiFi
XHiFi has less settings compare to FX. It has superior audio reconstruction which mainly used for restoring lossy audio quality.
FX Key Features
★ NEW Speaker Optimization ★
First effect for speakers. Try it yourself.
★ Android 4.3 Support ★
ViPER4Android supports Android 2.3 Ginger bread, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and 4.1 upto 4.3 Jelly bean firmwares.
★ Channel Pan ★
Controls left/right channel output. Its not very useful unless your headphone is imbalance or faulty one side. It will be a cure for you.
★ Differential Surround / Haas Effect ★
This is an old feature which ViPER520 had removed from FX in early days.
But after many users requesting it, ViPER520 bring it back to FX
More info on Haas Effect: http://www.mixcoach.com/creating-dep...haas-effect-2/
★ ViPER Fidelity Control ★
★ ViPER Bass ★
With different bass modes, you can have greater bass experience than before!
★ ViPER Clarity ★
With the latest Clarity mode selection, you can balance up heavy bass with high clarity audio that you can never imagine before!
★ Headphone Surround+ (VHS+) ★
With this VHS+, V4A made its way to achieve great surround technologies for Android.
★ Auditory System Protection (Cure Tech+) ★
With normal audio system, listening for more than three hours will feel fatigue, dizzy, tinnitus, irritated and other symptoms.
This is a normal reaction, heavy bass and high volume could cause permanent damage to the human auditory system, but other phenomena can restore through resting.
Viper as a listening experience professional will not ignore this problem. Therefore put a lot of effort to study how to make a "Healing" sound technology, just a small success. But thinking on how to let users experience it.
★ Convolver ★
When an Impulse Response Sample(IRS) is loaded, V4A will process the sound to show the same characteristics of the loaded sample. Through Convolution, samples with effects such as equalizer, surround, reverberation, tube etc can be loaded.
Download and extract IRS files to /ViPER4Android/Kernel/
★ FX Compatible Mode (Only in 4.x) ★
Compatible Mode supports large variety of music players and the players' own EQ/sound effects (system-provided/third party)
Therefore, you don't have to select V4A in Sound Settings > Music Effects, choose anything other than V4A. Just run V4A app and the effects will be working with anything else.
1. In option, switch to Compatible Mode. Reboot, done.
2. In Sound Settings > Music Effects, choose other than V4A.
3. Run V4A app and configure the settings then the effects will work together with the one you chose in Sound Settings.

Build prop editor can't find the line either. Can we add in the line manually? And also, dun try lcd density modder from playstore. It will cause a bootloop.
I am also having terrible Internet connection. I have a N4 by the side and on the same mobile network.

I downloaded and now try to install it tnx dude I'll give you my feedback

[KERNEL] [GSM/LTE/CDMA] [4.0.4] CMPlus for Tuna [11 JUN]

Requires:
1) a rooted GNex
2) a custom recovery
3) someone who knows what 1) and 2) mean.
( ... provided as-is ... use at your own risk ... won't be held responsible ... blah blah blah ... etcetera, etcetera ... )
I'm not really focused on getting the best benchmark results, as they mainly focus on raw throughput for CPU, GPU and memory, which anyone can easily top with some questionable hacks and a freezer. Not really real-world testing, imho. No benchmark app that I know of can effectively provide test results for latencies and responsiveness (but if anyone knows any benchmark which can measure that, please let me know). Reducing latency and improving responsiveness for the best possible user experience is, and will always be, my main aim for this kernel, whilst also trying not to wreak too much havoc on battery life.
CMPlus kernel is based on stock CM9 kernel with additional features that I think are useful. Initially built it for CM9, but also tested in other ROMs such as AOKP, ARHD, BAMF, BlackICE, CNA, Gummy, Liquid, etc. This kernel is mainly for my personal use, but anyone is free to download and use. Note that I am not obliged to accede to any/all requests, so apologies in advance for not answering all questions and requests, as I really, really don't have the time for thread management and really, really dislike the hassle of answering questions that have been answered countless times before.
This kernel has all existing features of stock CM9 Kernel (384MHz GPU, TUN, KSM, CIFS, NFS). All I've done are minor changes, so 99.999% of the credit deservingly goes to KalimochoAz, teamhacksung, CM team and of course, Google. And more so the devs listed below ...
Current version:
- Additional 200, 528, 1072, 1420 & 1500 MHz MPU frequency steps
- Disabled unnecessary debug options
- Enabled relevant ARM errata
- Optimized RWSEM & CRC32 algorithms (Ezekeel)
- SLQB memory allocator
- SIO I/O scheduler
- Optimized conservative, interactive & ondemand cpufreq governors (interactive as default)
- Alternative governors: Lazy & Wheatley (Ezekeel), Smartass2 (Erasmux) & Lulzactive (Tegrak)
- Removed powersave and userspace cpufreq governors
- Westwood+ as default TCP advanced congestion control
- Userspace voltage control (Michael Huang)
- Undervolted nominal VDD_MPU, VDD_IVA & VDD_CORE by 50mV
- Reduced regulator voltages to VAUX3 and VUSIM for reduced screen-on battery consumption
- Less conservative temperature throttling thresholds
- Fast charge patch (Chad Froebel)
- BLX: Battery Life eXtender, Sound Control, Touchwake, Vibration Control, Fsync Control (Ezekeel)
- User control of WiFi PM mode on sleep (PM_MAX default)
- Gamma Preset to control contrast levels
- Customizable startup script for controlling SmartReflex, Sound Control, BLX, Touchwake, Vibration, WiFi PM, Fsync, Gamma Preset and Color Control settings
- Screenstate modes to control settings for CPU Scheduler, Virtual Memory & Music Mode
- Other relevant patches from Omapzoom, Codeaurora & Android/kernel-common
- Compiled using a self-built Linaro 4.7.1 toolchain optimized for Tuna
CHANGELOG
SOURCE
DOWNLOAD- Applicable for both Maguro & Toro variants of Tuna (all sound kinda fishy to me)
- Koush's anykernel format, so does not modify existing ramdisk.
- Install in custom recovery
For real issues, please provide the following:
- ROM name and version
- Copy-n-paste dmesg & last_kmsg output to http://pastebin.com/ and provide URL
Code:
1. Start terminal emulator session
2. > su
3. # dmesg > /sdcard/dmesg.txt
For reboot/freeze problem, replace Step 3 above with
3. # cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt
4. Paste contents of resultant txt files to pastebin.com
5. Post pastebin URLs here in this thread for diagnosis
- What you were doing with your phone at the time
In other words, help me to help you. Clairvoyancy and telepathy are a couple of skills that I don't possess ... yet ;P
I do this for masochistic tendencies fun, so won't accept donations. But if you feel the inescapable urge to part with your ill-gotten gains hard-earned savings, then why not donate to where it actually matters.
Startup script for CMPlus kernel
CMPlus kernel now includes a startup script with a customizable initialization file (/etc/cmplus.conf)
Settings below are customized to my preference. To customize, copy /etc/cmplus.conf to /sdcard/cmplus.conf then modify it yourself and save it. Your settings will survive any factory or system wipes, as long as /sdcard/cmplus.conf exists.
Script will first check for presence of /sdcard/cmplus.conf. If exists, it will load your settings then bypass my settings. If doesn't exist, then it will load my settings from /etc/cmplus.conf (see below)
Code:
# filename: /system/etc/cmplus.conf
# ==========================================
# Initialization file for /system/bin/cmplus
# ==========================================
# To survive /system wipes, copy this file to /sdcard/cmplus.conf then modify accordingly

Great to see another Kernel Dev for the GN! Options are what android is all about!
Thanks!
Nice work from a fellow Singaporean!
I'll be following your work closely.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Looks awesome, man! I'll have to give it a whirl!
Thank you for the new kernel!
Perhaps to put the shortcut of how to get to the last_kmsg in the op? Not everybody knows it, I think that's why so many people don't attach it to their issue reports..

Tuna is the device name for Galaxy Nexus, which has two variants, Maguro (GSM) and Toro (CDMA/LTE). And this kernel is suitable for both variants.
This is nice, I'll try it. Just switch to cm from aokp.
Edit: just install this, seems okay. Love the ability to uv. Do you guys have any recommendations for governor?
First time I tried with cm is hotplug, but it gave me freeze, so now back to on demand

Good job. I'll try this this commit "Reduced regulator voltages to VAUX3 and VUSIM for reduced screen-on battery consumption" on mine as well. Will bring feedback.
Great, was wondering why nobody did a CM9 Tuna kernel with added extras.
Thanks
P.S Would you be a gent and write up a little how to build a kernel from source for our device on Ubuntu, I've been trying to compile one from Kalimochos source just for kicks but haven't got very far at all.
Cheers once again.
can you add the colormod thingy?=x
I'm using this kernel. Thanks for the job.
But i'm a kernel noob i just install and.... this is it.. i just install
There's something i need to do to have the best performance ?

saw that as well. interesting...
good to have you here
btw, i was just in Singapore last december (went to ZoukOut, among other things). Actually walked into SGbest and bought my galaxy nexus there
I like this kernel.. But after I flashed it my colors are off. More like a pinkish color. Was using Francos Nightly #123 with the color control app. Using B29 AOKP. Any suggestions?

turn down your red in "color multipliers tuning" in aokp performance settings
I noticed a pinkish hue after applying the patch. dropped it from .42xxxxxxxx to .36xxxxxxxx and it look correct for me know

[ROM] [4.2.2] CyanKang - Super stable modded CM - ported from nexus 4

CyanKang by Finnq & Schubi (Android 4.2.2)
This is something like a CM10.1 build with some cherry picks and modifications.
But it's not built nightly: I build manual and mostly every two days. Depending on how many changes got merged to official CM10.1 nightlies.
The ROMs are compatible with the official nightlies.
So you normally can flash them just over a official nightly without wiping anything. It's just the same procedure like flashing a new nightly.
You also can flash an official nighly right over mine withot having to except problems.
I blank out detailled information how to flash my ROM. Its exactly the same as for official nightlies. So please have a look here if you don't know.
Main Features
Android 4.2.2 and all features of CyanogenMod 10.1
HALO
ParanoidAndroid's HALO Notification Bubble.
Status bar mod
You can choose to move the clock to the middle of the status bar, add date and change its transparency.
BatteryBar
Shows a BatteryBar in the StatusBar or over the NavigationBar.
NFC Polling Mode
NFC polling on Lockscreen or when screen is of instead only with unlocked screen.
Advanced low battery indicator options
For example, you can disable the warning dialog for low battery
and get a notification or only a sound instead.
more Features
Android 4.3 framework patches
Swipe down Statusbar in fullscreen apps (Such as video players)
Network speed indication in status bar
Breathing Notification for MMS & Missed Calls
Make Camera shutter follow device sound setting
Don't wake when (un)plugged to power setting
Custom Battery Circle colors and animation speed
User defined colors for PieControls
Notification Drawer Brightness Slider
alt. App picker
Dark UI aka trds
QS camera toggle (take picture with quicksettings!)
and more!
Features by OP(Me)
Quick charge for hercules added in CM kernel
Known Bugs:
The button in the notification panel to activate halo needs an hdpi variant.

this looks like very good work @kennkanniff nice to see more DEVs on here thanks for your hard work will try this tonight for you bro
you got it bro , reply to this and then ask a MOD to move this thread for you
Nice work op. It is always nice to know we have another dev to help resurrect this device. Way to go man.
sent from my xylonified phone....
I have successfully cherry-picked the option to control media instead of ringer volume with buttons.
Building right now, stay tuned.
Update: Screwed up build so need to resync again, so it will definitely be tomorrow.
This time however I have set up my own repository so I can keep things clean.
Update:
Got my repo set up. Building now, so ready in a few hours.
BTW, no mod will reply to my request to move the thread to dev....

Ive never build with linaro myself, I think it shouldnt be problem but this rom is already buttery smooth for me so it is not a high priority. I will look in to it though.
I have not set up a google plus page yet but when I do which community should I join (link). Thanks!
New build almost ready (i hope)!
And about 4.3, yes this rom is also build with 4.3.
It already runs on the nexus4 so we only have to wait for teamchopstiks for setting up a device repo for 4.3. (I think)
awesome you need to get to 10 post !! i could have sworn you was yesterday
New Build UP!!!
http://d-h.st/vKS
Added option to let the volume keys control media instead of ringer volume.
One bug: the option are switched around, but is works perfect.
wil fix when I am back home tonight.
UPDATE: I am trying to fix the bug, when I do i will update OP
so i got a PM back from a MOD but he is on vacation he couldnt do it PM'ed another mod he is usually the maintainer for us hopefully he can move this for you bud thanks again friendly forum mod @kennyglass123

I will be releasing unofficial OmniRom builds for honami on a "dailyish" basis for a while.
Once the main bugs are resolved I will make a pull request to try and make the Z1 officially supported by Omni.
Known Bugs
All CM bugs
Downloads
This ROM doesn't include the Gapps, if you want those you'll need to download them separately elsewhere.
OmniRom does not come pre-rooted, if you need root access, please download SuperSU and flash it after the ROM.
Latest build (2014-03-15)

Sources
You can find the device-specific sources on my github : https://github.com/OmniHonami
The rest of the sources can be found on OmniRom's github at: https://github.com/OmniRom
Here is what you should add to your roomservice.xml in order to build this ROM:
PHP:
<project name="OmniHonami/android_device_sony_honami" path="device/sony/honami" remote="github" revision="android-4.4" />
<project name="OmniHonami/android_device_sony_qcom-common" path="device/sony/qcom-common" remote="github" revision="android-4.4" />
<project name="OmniHonami/android_device_sony_rhine-common" path="device/sony/rhine-common" remote="github" revision="android-4.4" />
<project name="OmniHonami/android_device_sony_common" path="device/sony/common" remote="github" revision="cm-11.0" />
<project name="CyanogenMod/android_kernel_sony_msm8974" path="kernel/sony/msm8974" remote="github" revision="cm-11.0" />
<project name="CyanogenMod/android_hardware_qcom_media" path="hardware/qcom/media" groups="qcom_media" remote="github" revision="cm-11.0" />
(You'll also need to remove the Omni android_hardware_qcom_media entry from the default platform manifest, as roomservice.xml doesn't allow overriding of existing projects.)

great to see more ROM developer
Does this ROM come with the multiwindow feature as of now? And does this come with a recovery? If so CWM or TWRP or both?

The multi-window feature hasn't been officially merged in the Kit-Kat version of OmniRom, however, you can try to flash this patch in order to enable it.
Please report whether the patch worked for you or not if you do decide to give it a shot.
I will try to cherry-pick the multiwindow feature in the next build, see how that goes.
The included kernel comes with a touch-enabled version of CWM.

So far, I can report that when rebooting there are random boot loops and sometimes it boots, and sometimes it doesn't. Also TWRP recovery does not work. I would also like to add that volume doesn't work as well, I am unable to hear anything.

I have just noticed the audio issue as well, this should be easy to fix for next build.
About the recovery, no idea why TWRP got built instead of CWM, this will be fixed in today's build as well.
I've noticed a new build. Any changelog?

Not yet, this would require either the builds to be uploaded on Omni's official download repositories or that I upload them on a private server and modify the app to check and download from it.
I haven't really had time to look into that yet, but it'll be implemented, eventually.
Sweet i just downloaded your last build,, i shall install it tomorrow,. I dont doubt it will be good.. Cant wait to see how omniswitch is on the z1
What is the differences between this and CM11?
Any special features or something? Please show them

You can learn more about the features included in OmniRom at the following link : https://omnirom.org/features/
Amongst the famous ones are:
OmniSwitch: an innovative app-switcher
Incoming call: a non-obtrusive way to notify you when a call is incoming
Multi-Window: speaks for itself, see my next post
Active Display: à la Moto X
A much improved DSP Manager with both a revamped UI and additional effects
Screen recording & casting built-in
An OTA system using delta/diff to download almost only the parts that changed instead of having to download a ~250mb rom every day (not yet implemented on the Z1)
And a lot more
A few words about Multi-Window
As mentioned in the changelog, multiwindow is experimental and work-in-progress (the patch is written by my fellow countryman Guillaume Lesniak a.k.a XpLoDWilD, all credit goes to him).
You can try-out multi-window by opening at least 2 apps then long-pressing one in the recent-apps panel and selecting 'Put aside' :
Here are a few things to look-out for when testing it:
Selecting 'Put aside' when only one app is running in the background will cause a soft-reboot
Sometimes changing one of the 2 active apps will cause a soft-reboot
The bottom app sometimes isn't properly rendered until you touch or scroll it
Other than that, it's a pretty cool multitasking experience, I will cherry-pick the new versions of the patchset as they are committed.
Cool, more roms for our Z1's. Does this rom have Tap2Wake? I am on slimrom atm, and that is one features I would gladly switch to get as I find the Z1 power button really awkward to use as a lefty.

It does not, sorry.
Just a heads-up, this feature is usually implemented on the kernel side, so if it gets ported to the Z1 you should be able to use it with the rom of your choice.

Senior Limpio introduces his rom to you:
Quote:
"L-Droid is a rom loosely based off of SlimRoms AOSP sources with various sources picked from other great developers. I have spent the last 6 months putting together a ROM for my Galaxy S3 that I could use as a daily driver and also contains all the features I like on my phone. This rom comes with all the bells and whistles but without taking a hit on battery life. I do this on my spare time and absolutely love it so I hope you'll like my work. As I am just setting up my thread I will add more detail on this later. If at any point you have a bug or a feature request to point out, I would be more than willing to look into it as long as I have a logcat or source code to work with. Enjoy! "

I have a one question, can I must flash a kernel like in instruction or only gapps?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Free mobile app
No, this is not needed. I replaced the slim kernel with mackay kernel and rom is booting....what I just noticed is, that bln seems not to work, so if you want and need this feature too, just flash mackay on top and it should work too.
Omg, keep going rodman, you're bringing great roms to our community.
Someone give a review.
thank you so much sir flashing now
