[Q] galaxy note II dual sim mtk6577 bricked - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi to all, recently i buyed a chinesse GN2 with dual sim everything was fine, i insert my sim card and i don't have network, ok no problem say to me, maybe i can turn on the wi-fi, well the phone freeze when i turn on the wi-fi, i had to remove the battery no response for any button, i try to backup my rom but something go bad and i lose my chinesse Galaxy, i can't enter into a factory default or recovery mode, the phone only show samsung screen then boot again...so it's a boot loop.
any help?

This forum is for the International Note 2 version (N7100) only. Other than that, these chinese phones have very less or no guarantee of either software or hardware. You'd be better off if u sell it and buy an international version of the note 2. Possible solutions are to keep looking and find a solution on a chinese websites (my friend looked for roms on many of them for his chinese note 1), or contact the seller for the faulty device...

[Q] Demo note 2 imei and baseband problem

Hi i have been given a samsung galaxy note 2 but it is a demo from samsung. It has everything in it but it doesnt have an imei and doesnt register to a network. It has a sim slot but it doesnt pick up network. If i type *#06# it says imei null. Also another thing i noticed is that it has no baseband version. It keeps loading retail mode from samsung all the time however i have managed to get rid of it. Is there a way to flash it with different firmware to get sorted. I am not an expert so if someone can guide me step by step that will be great.

Return the phone and request a new one mate. Your story sounds fishy to me to be honest

There's nothing fishy about his story. Samsung demo units only contain WiFi connectivity options to discourage theft and resale.

Its not fishy it has been given to me by samsung for demo in mobile stores in uk. It does connect to wifi as someone mentioned its just it dont pick sim cards probably because samsung blocked it. As i got a sim with unlimited data i want to use it and get rid of my dongle and laptop.

Since samsung supplied it (in your words) for demo in mobile stores in uk I doubt they would be particularly pleased with it being supplied with an imei (which is TOTALLY dodgy to me) for personal use when it was never intended for that!
Sorry dude but it does sound fishy.
No manufacturer would be pleased to install custom roms too..... So solution please if you have any?

I would not flash anything if you have these issues right from the get go, take it back to place of purchase and or call your carrier. Demo is just that Demo...
Thank You and Thread Closed, before this goes into the woods....

[Q] Rooted a SGH-i317 with N7100 components and now it does't connect to AT&T -HELP-

[Q] Rooted a SGH-i317 with N7100 components and now it does't connect to AT&T -HELP-
My first time rooting my phone, I've had a rooted phone before, but my friend did it for me so I never actually had to do anything. After a year of thinking about it and a purchase of a Galaxy Note II, I thought "hell, why not." I'm quickly realizing my mistakes. I have rooted it completely with the International N7100 version. How do I get it back connecting to AT&T (My phone does not attempt at connecting to the AT&T radio anymore.) I am in dire need of a solution as I do not have the fund to purchase a new phone. The SIM card is fine, I just need a remedy to get my phone back on AT&T track before my money goes right down the drain and maybe worse. Please respond, I will be in your favor.
You need to input the APN settings for at&t.

Using a voice 'three' network sim in a Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 4g

Hi, I have the UK 4G galaxy tab 3 8.0. I've been using a Three network voice/text/data sim in it for a few months, till I tried to go on the the browser and it said 'Your Sim Will Only Work in Your Phone'. Tried everything I could think of to get it to work. I called the network explained that my tab was a phone because I've been making calls off of it. They was having none of it and said my sim will no longer work for data inside my tab....killer!! It's my only source of internet and I haven't got another device to use it with. I was thinking possibly if I root it, there may be a utility which allows me to change what my tab is seen as. For example change it so it's recognised as a phone and then my sim will start working again. It's never going to work again as it is at the moment. I've rooted it before and didn't really want to do it again, because it kept screwing my data connection, I unrooted and it's been fine for weeks. Please someone help! If I have missed any details, sorry.
P.s the tab came from Vodafone UK with a sim contract that is not being used anymore, I bought the tab near enough brand new but still pre-owned.
Thanks anyway

Is there a way to make my Three Mobile Phone Sim card, work in my Tab s 8.4?

phoned up three, i was told it's possible (but he sounded incompetent, since I had to explain to him the Tab s LTE is basically a big phone with the same chip in as a Galaxy s5).
however, when i put my sim card in the tablet and try chrome, i get to a screen that says ''your sim will only work in your phone''
I wonder if there's a way to ghost my phone from my tablet?
I'd quite happily use my tab s as my phone and really...i should be allowed the choice. If there's nothing stopping my putting my sim in 10 different phones, why should i be stopped when i put it in a tablet.

So do you mean mobile data will not work from the sim if in a tablet....could be using the imei number to tell the difference i would imagine...yeah thats all it can be m8...does it come up as a 3 webpage with this message or as like a system prompt from the tablet itsself?
takes me to a three page...basically saying i need to put my sim back in a recognised phone...annyingly the tab s 8.4 is just a phone, but bigger..theyre obviously doing this to increase purchasing, which is very annoying.
there must be a way i can round this.

D802 dual sim adapter?

Hello,
My brother bought a dual sim adapter for his lg. After 3h of struggling to put it in correctly the phone finally recognized sim1 and a new sim switching menu appeared. The problem is, that whenever he tries to switch the card, the phone keeps going back to the sim1.
So my question is, did anyone try it?
And do you think that it may be the roms fault (fulmics)?
