Hey,
Did you have to unlock your bootloader using setools or omnius, or the 'test point' method?
If so, you can't relock the bootloader.
Otherwise, flash the ftf from this thread using flashtools: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134335
I can relock my bootloader, but I can't get the normal kernal and firmwire from Sony.
When I try to update, I get a sign, you alreddy get the newest version of software....
(Sorry about my terrible English)
I fount my orriginal .tft
Flashed, flashed the relock, and it works

Hi,
I tried updating my friends wildfire s from 2.13.401.3 to 2.26.401.3.
But during the process of updating the red tringle showed up and de process of updating came to a stop. Don't know the error exactly but from what I can remember it gave a : (status 7)
Also tired to install it using the RUU: RUU_Marvel_S_HTC_Europe_2.26.401.3_Radio_47.23e.35.3038H_7.57.39.10M_release_261695_signed
But this gave me an error to: ERROR 140.
Some information about his phone:
Stock (no root or unlock)
Hboot 1.08.0000
2.13.401.3
Does someone know how to solve this?

Two questions need to be answered first:
1. Is your bootloader locked?
2. Do you have a custom recovery?
You need to have the stock recovery and a locked bootloader for OTA updates.

The phone is completly stock and has never been unlocked or rooted.
So a custom recovery was never installed.
I think that I may have the solution but don't know for sure.
When I tried to install the PG76IMG.zip trough the bootloader it gave me an error: main verison is older.
Another thing I noticed was that when I connected the phone to op in bootloader and ran a ruu.
The version currently installed on the phone was detected by the ruu program and was something like: 10.13.401.3
So maybe if I try this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445867&page=1
And after that I could try to install the new 2.26.401.3 using the PG76IMG.zip trough the bootloader.
Do you think this would fix it?
My problem is fixed.
Found out that the wildfire s had the mainver: 11.33.401.2
Edited this to 2.13.402.1.
After that I flashed the 2.26.401.3 ruu trough the bootloader (PG76IMG.zip)
And now the phone accepted the zip!

I have the very same problem you're describing above!

Unlock Lollipop BootLoader and Rooting it.

Hello everyone
Is there any tutorial for M8 lollipop 5.0.1 to unlock boot-loader , S-off it and Root it ?
because i tried Hasson's 2014 tool .. but i stock with flashing unlock token code bin
i got failed . Maybe it is not compatible with lollipop 5 yet.
any advice or hint
thaanx in advnace
Unlocking hasn't changed. Flash the unlock token via fastboot commands directly and not via a toolkit. Learn the basics that's the easiest in troubleshooting.
S-off : only via sunshine but i haven't been reading up if it supports android L but if you don't try you don't know
Root: once unlocked you flash a custom recovery and flash the SU zip

Help find a stock ruu upgrade file to unlock bootloader via htc dev for custom rom

Hello, I need some help finding a rom file for my htc to upgrade the os to final or downgrade to 2.2 for root...
When I try to unlock the bootloader via the btc ruu method from the website, I will get an error about my rom bieng out of date however there are no ota updates to fix this, and all links to backups of the update ruu file are dead or for the wrong version - I have an unlocked uk version with 2.42.405.2 or older under the same branch "HTC EU" on the website...
When I try to unlock the bootloader via any other method relating to the command:
```fastboot oem get-unlock-token``` to get the unlock token, I will get an error about the command bieng wrong, dispite its use in many unlocking scripts.
While I can gain temproot acess, I cant find a rom to downgrade to or a way to reansfer temp root to a rom manager to flash cwm
does anyone know of another way to flash cwm or have an alive link to any formware to upgrade or downgrade my htc?
Thanks
Luca
