TAB 3 10.1 stock firmware?? - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm looking for the US version of the latest stock firmware for the P5210 United States version. I've looked at sammobile.com and tried to find it there but it seems EVERY other country in the world is listed except for US versions. Is there a reason for that? Some weird laws here that prevent that? I've wondered that for a while since my original tab 7" days and I could never find US firmware for that either and had to use the UK version.
Anyway, I'm trying to install Grievous 5.0 rom and this is the first ROM i've tried putting on it. Was rooted for a while, just flashed TWRP, that went fine, made a backup. Tried installing the rom, it said successful but when I went to re-boot it, I keep getting two boots to the samsung logo then right to the TWRP main menu.
Yes... I did follow the devs installation instructions exactly. Two or three times. Tried different resets, and installation combinations with no progress, and the same result. If it matters, the file I downloaded was the android file hosting one... currently downloading it again from Mega in hopes it was just a bad download. As of right now, this thing is pretty much dead in the water.

The stock firmware is linked in the OP of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2421594
Flash it through ODIN and you should be good to go, I had a similar issue previously.

Thanks, did you ever get any ROM to install and load on yours? I'd really like to try one but so far this whole thing has been a mess. This is my first go at doing any modding on a Samsung device, I've done plenty of Motorola stuff, that just always seems to work for me with no issues. Thanks again for that link. I might have to play with this a little more when I have more time.

I was attempting to flash Pimpdroid when I had the problems, and it seemed like every time I tried to wipe/flash something went wrong. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I ended up just flashing over the stock rom. That was a couple months ago, though, and I'm not sure if flashing techniques have changed or if it has gotten any easier.

Hey man , you have not looked the firmware properly. First of all , US firmware on sammobile is always written as the country 'cellular south' . So , buddy on sammobile firmware section type p5210 and then look for the country cellular south . I was also confused first but then I found my tab's pda code and csc code and then looked for the country and it matched with cellular south . So buddy search for cellular south country . And if you don't want to download from sammobile or you have any problems downloading from sammobile , here is the link https://mega.co.nz/#!sJZCxQ7T!hdJXKXTVZe_Rx63CYE3xPESxxNr9FWqgGQgmOz1DH3A P.S. - It the latest US stock firmware for GT-P5210. And the link which darthjader has provided, the firmware is of any European country because US firmware starts from UEU. And the latest U.S. firmware is P5210UEUAMK1 . I have provided you with the link of latest P5210UEUAMK1 . And to the answer for your 2nd question , Yes, I flashed the pimproid rom without any glitches and problems. What I did was that my tab was rooted and TWRP was installed . I just placed the pimproid rom in my tab's internal sd card , booted into TWRP recovery and then without any wiping I just installed the rom because TWRP automatically wipes the data and dalvik cache . I haven't tried the grevious rom . Ok my friend , after writing such a long post I hope that you find my post useful .
PLEASE HIT THANKS IF I HELPED YOU .
Sent from my GT-N7100

This is very interesting. When I go to the OP listed above, the file name is P5210XXUAMG6_P5210OXXAMG3. However, when I look at my firmware in the device, the Build Number is JDQ.P5210UEUAMK1. Not sure how Samsung Build Numbers relate. They could be country specific like mentioned above, or something else. I just don't know.
My concern is loading a build that is not the same as the one on my Tab. I have backed up the device using TWRP but I am not sure if that particular build is included in the backup as part of the system.
I too am not sure if I have loaded stuff correctly. I know I am ROOTED because a Root Check said so. I loaded a new Rom but really saw no real difference. So I am not sure if I have done things right. I did follow the letter of the procedures to the T.
added: you can also find the firmware at this address.

Sounds like this is a very similar problem to something someone else posted in the last few days. Take a look through the last couple of days posts in this forum and see if you can see it. The general suggestion if i remember right was to use ODIN to fix.

Read before you install, chain fire 3d does not work with jellybean 4.1.
I think the description in the play store also said enough
Amazes me why people dont read ?
It clrearly says not for jelly bean
You need to find your desired stock rom and flash it via odin. Only solution
Why do you install things which aren't supported?
It's the first thing people should do when installing unconfirmed stuff.
Chainfire 3D isn't supported for JB.
What you need to do now is go into DOWNLOAD mode, and flash your stock ROM via Odin, if you want official.
thanks all its my mistake am new , and i said sorry for my note lmao , well now i need to search for good custom room
i download nandroid and platinum backup and i backup my apps&system wz data got .gz files i think on my sd-card and got nandroid backup on my sd-card (nandroid back up like 4 files) one of them .md5 and its 1kb others .tar 500mb and 700mb cach and system and est i think didnt remember they are on my sd-card is that help me by odin ? because i cant open my device any way my only solution by odin mode but is there any file in my back up files can help ? forget i tried to restore my device by nandroid.md5 and odin closed not response , dont say iam lucky new in android world understand nothing for now
You don't need to flash custom ROM, bro. If you want official rom, just go to sammobile.com, find the firmware of your country and flash it through odin. There, you have official stock ROM again.
Also your English is extremely hard to understand. Try to use commas and full-stops.

Possible Return to stock via ODIN??

Ok, so I attempted to download a couple of roms from this site, used Odin to install TWRP recovery. Problem is every rom I attempt to download is hosted from an incredibly slow site, so it takes 3 hours to download a single rom. I would like to return to stock, BONE STOCK. I remember with my Sprint Epic 4G I was able to download a tar/pit file that had the original modem and rom in 2 files: a PIT file, and a TAR File. Using Odin to flash this would return my phone to factory/bone stock configuration getting rid of all recovery/root/ect. I would like to know if there is such a file for the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S-2.
Anyone know?
My phone has been useless for the last 9 hours and every rom ive downloaded has not worked at all. (No Signal, No gapps, Not booting/black screen hang, ect)
I know I can download a similar app from HTC that will restore an HTC phone to stock settings, what about Samsung?
Also, does anyone know where I can download the latest ClockworkMod RECOVERY from so I can try to flash roms with that? I was thinking this TWRP recovery is the issue.
Thanks!
Have you read the stickies?
[HOWTO] ROOT, Install ClockworkMod Touch Recovery & get into Download Mode for newbie. It also has instructions for using Odin to get back to stock.
For the latest CWM...have you searched in the dev thread? Used Google/Bing?

I have read the stickies, in particular the one you attached. I also searched google (and bing, its still default on this pc) for the latest version of CWR, links I found are dead. Still didnt see anything in regards to what I asked specifically. Is there a way to restore, VIA ODIN, a STOCK ROM (PIT and TAR Files) similar to what was available with the older samsung Galaxy? I just downloaded the Jedi ROM and it actually booted with a signal, so Im giving it the "10 minutes" before I touch it. (Bummer everyone uses this wierd Dev Hosting site to host the files, download speeds of 37KB/sec are crazy slow with a 400+MB File).
I Thought about using Kies to restore to stock, not sure if thats even possible with a phone that has no rom installed since Ive never used Kies before. Guess I'll find out how well this rom works.

Im not trying to be a **** but you couldnt have searched. If you followed the link for an Odin file in the page I linked earlier, it would have led you to THIS page which has a working download link for stock Odin (Gingerbread).
If you would have Googled exactly what you want, the 2nd result would give you the ICS download.
And Google also returns the main page for CWM
Hope that helps.

I dont think your trying to be a **** at all so its all good, id tell anyone the same thing, I did do several searches searches, but sifting through 900+ pages in one of hundreds of threads is a little daunting...
Also the link I believe your referring to (http://www.technoxide.com/2012/11/galaxy-s2-jelly-bean-4.1.2-I9100XXLSJ-update.html) <<No 2 in google results for a Samsung i9100 SGS2, I downloaded that one, installed it, had a black screen after the samsung logo and the phone started getting very hot after I let it sit for 15 mins or so. Tried rebooting several times, same thing.. The model number for mine is a SGH-T989, are they the same? I tried that link and followed its instructions anyways, and like I said, no go...
Thanks tho man I do appreciate it, all is well with the Jedi Rom, seems to be working awesome without the bloat.. (Just took 3.5 hrs to download from that janky hosting site its on.)

Erm...the 2nd result was THIS thread, and partway down the page is THIS link listed as "T-Mobile SGH-T989_UVLI4 (Stock Odin ROM)" on the page.
Glad Jedi is working for you.
edit: oh. You dont have a T989 looks like you have an I9100? Might poke around the I9100 forum to find your Odin image.

[Q] Phone stuck at logo after flashing stock ROM

Hi,
This is my first post here on the XDA forum so if I make any mistakes, please do tell.
So, I got a Galaxy Ace 2 (I8160) which was running unrooted and stock at Android 2.3.6 (if I recall correctly).
I decided I wanted the phone to run at a newer Android version (KitKat preferred), so I decided to look into Cyanogenmod 11.0.
I succesfully installed the Clockworkmod Recovery after soms attempts and after that I was able to install Cyanogenmod 11.0 running on Android 4.4.4.
My first impression was positive, until I noticed I regularly got some error messages about com.android.phone which stopped working.
On top of this, the phone had no service and I was unable to make any calls (also selecting a service provider made com.android.phone crash).
After a lot of looking around on the internet, I found out this could be caused because I flashed Cyanogenmod 11.0 directly from Android 2.3.6.
On another tutorial I read I should've flashed Cyanogenmod 11.0 from any Jellybean version but as I stated earlier, I flashed it from a Gingerbread version.
On another forum I found someone who used to have the same issue and stated that he made the same mistake as I did (flashing from a non-Jellybean version).
He said he flashed a stock Jellybean ROM to his phone, installed Clockworkmod Recovery and at last flashed Cyanogenmod again and everything seemed to be working just fine.
I decided to do the same and flashed a stock Jellybean ROM for the I8160 using Odin v3.07.
After Odin told me the flash process passed, the phone rebooted but was stuck at the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 logo.
When trying to get into the recovery, I got the same problem and the only thing I saw was the startup logo.
If I'd turn off the phone and plug in to my computer (which normally shows the battery percentage) it'd be stuck at the loading icon (normally this loading icon is visible for about 5 seconds and after that the battery percentage is visible).
I'm still able to get into download mode, so I tried reflashing the same ROM but unfortunately without success.
I used the following stock ROM: samsung-updates.com/details/28857/Galaxy_Ace_2/GT-I8160/XEN/I8160XXNB1.html.
I've been using the Cyanogenmod 11.0 and GApps files from: maclaw.pl/downloads/.
Does anybody have any idea about how I coud fix this?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Just tried flashing a stock ROM with Android 2.3.6, problem is still there: samsung-updates.com/details/18868/Galaxy_Ace_2/GT-I8160/H3G/I8160NELG2.html

Thanks for you reply.
I came across this 3-parted firmware flash a few hours ago.
I'm trying it right now. I'll let you know what the results are.
Alright, another update. (My problem seems to be fixed!)
At first I tried downloading the 3 files neccessary for the new flash method, but for some reason it'd take me hours to download them.
I started looking on the internet for the same files and found a torrent link on another forum leading to a torrent file uploaded here, on the XDA forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1757643&d=1361735404.
I downloaded the files in the torrent and used them properly in Odin.
The flashing process started and at about 80% Odin gave me a nasty error message saying the flash failed...
At that moment I was seriously hopeless and pretty sure I've just succesfully hard-bricked my phone.
I tried to start it and I got a weird message saying a firmware update went wrong and that I should fix it using Samsung Kies.
As it stated, I tried using Samsung Kies but was unable to get my phone to work.
I was out of options so I decided to give the 3-way flashing method a second chance.
Oding started flashing and for some reason finished succesfully this time.
The phone reboots, and shows the 'Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160' message for a few minutes.
After that the Samsung logo pops up and I've waited for another few minutes until a new screen pops up.
I see the Android guy and a blue progress bar underneath and patiently waits untill it's done.
After this I see the Samsung logo again and the phone finally boots to Android! Great Success!
Conclusion in my case: The 3-parted firmware seemed to do the trick for me.
As I stated above, the first flash failed but the second one was totally succesfully and revived my phone.

Yeb - you can use also the 3-parted MB4 (which was an very early JB FW).
But as the MB4 is not 100% complete - I still recommend only to use the 3-parted FWs linked by me (which ChuckMichael shows you)
But anyway - If your Phone booted you are done - You do not need to to it again. Just flash afterwards the newst original FW available.

[Q] Today's update soft-bricked my phone

Hello. Last week I got impatient with the fact that I could not write to my sd card under the newest versions of Android (thanks, Google!), so I rooted my phone with a (supposedly) unobstrusive ROM as described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2143479.
And today, after installing the baseband update, my phone will no longer boot. The screen just goes dark after saying Samsung Galaxy Note II.
I tried reinstalling the root, I tried installing a custom ROM, I tried resetting to factory and clearing the cache. Nothing has worked.
I really would like to have my phone back Does anyone have any suggetions?

I only backed up some of my applications. I am not sure this will work but I will try when I get home.
If anyone else has any ideas, I would still appreciate to hear them. I need the phone for business reasons, so I need to purchase another tonight if I am not able to fix this one.
FWIW, at one point I noticed that the phone still made my speakers crackle when I put it near them, so it was transmitting *something*. The screen is blank though.

I'm in his exact same boat. Rooted about a month ago, the update soft bricked my phone. I've tried everything from flashing rom after rom to trying to recover in Kies.
No dice, when you try to recover in Kies, it won't recognize your device, it just saying Connecting until it asks you to reboot your device.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Been triyng to fix this for 18 hours so far

Your specs are EXACTLY the same as mine. I am getting the dreaded SW Rev. Invalid Magic string when I try to flash from Kies. I am currently downloading a 4.4.2 ROM from d-h.st to try to fix it; I will keep you updated.
Side rant: If you're a tiny website like d-h.st, probably not a good idea to force the user to type in their credit card by hand. Seriously, I was all ready to throw money at the screen and get this stupid thing over with, but like heck if I'm going to type my credentials into that kind of site.
Just curious guys but have you all tried flashing stock rom back to the phone using odin?

jaybeerange- this will not work because Samsung Kies tries to restore to version 4.1.2, but the boot loader disallows it because it's too old.
If you have a 4.4.2 sitting around, by all means, let us know. I've been trying to download from d-h.st, but rumor has it that it will fail.
I am literally out of options.
Yeah the one from dhst is the one im talking about. I dont know why it wouldnt work. If I remember right it doesn't contain the bootloader so that shouldnt be a problem. The bootloader just wont allow itself to revert to an older version but its a 4.4.2 rom so it should work
---------- Post added at 03:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:13 AM ----------
Just to be clear you know that when I say odin I mean the odin application and not kies right?
This OTA update bricked mine as well. Don't install this if your rooted!!!
I was able to take the update and im rooted and running custom recovery. Only thing I can think of that might be different is that I never took the official ota update. I flashed a stock 4.4.2 rom in recovery so im still on the 4.3 bootloader
Sweet mother of Zeus, I downloaded the 4.4.2 ROM off d-h.st, flashed it in Odin, and unbricked my phone.
Instructions for everyone else:
* Download Android 4.4.2 stock here: http://d-h.st/8HG. FYI, don't bother buying a subscription to the site to speed up the download unless you're doing it to thank the owners. Membership WON'T DO ANYTHING to help your speed. You'll just have to wait ~4 hours.
* Flash with Odin 3.0.7.
If anyone who has rights wants to post in this thread, it might be helpful.
I plan to set up a torrent tonight for anyone who wants to download it without the long wait.
Here is the magnet link: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:03336f24f4d6b9e86ca608d7766287edc7cd5d73&dn=I317-ODIN-UCUCNE5-Stock-No-Recovery.zip&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.publicbt.com%3A80
By all means download, but PLEASE seed if you do. I am allocating a lot of bandwidth but I can only upload so much!
PS. If you're worried about the reliability of the torrent, d-h.st provides an md5 sum that you can use to check the file after you've downloaded it.
Exactly what the guy said about flashing the stock rom is right. However, since my phone didn't have enough space, it didn't reset my phone. Maybe it works if you go into download mode (power, volume up and home) and then reboot it works. Have rebooted it twice since then and it still works. Everything is just how i had it before the update, but with the update.

I think the technical term in torrent speak is leeches. So your torrent has zero seeders, zero peers, and 3 leeches.
ATT update
Rule #1 of OTA. No root and stock completely.
This link here shows you every file that the OTA checks for and many other things before it does anything.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001611244
If something does not match, it craps out.
I'm downloading the Zen's ODIN NE5 from dev-host now. They must have fixed issues because it's flying.
I should have it in 10-15 minutes. I have uploaded a version that I had to androidhost, but I'm waiting to hear from Zen if he's ok with me posting a mirror.
And I need to make sure that what I'm downloading and what I have uploaded in the same. But like I said looks like Dev-Host is working better, or at least better than it has been the past couple of days.

It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't explicitly asked people to seed. Anyway, there's pne seeder: me. Interestingly, I tried to attach to it with uTorrent, and I can't connect to the host. So maybe there's something wrong with my torrent server. If you want, PM me and I will sign in to Windows and seed from there.
Had exact same issue and flashed the boot loader and now my phone works great!
here is the link: http://d-h.st/qDY
Have a good one guys
Had a lot of hope for this, but I'm now getting one step further in my loop (I see the ATT logo spinning then it just hangs).
Any ideas?

Problem with Odin, flashing stock firmware

Hello!
I'm a total novice in this and I admit that maybe I shouldn't have gotten into it. Here's my story: I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 (SM-G960F) and I bought it in France (I don't know what kind of model it is exactly). Last June I had installed crDroid 6.7 without any problem, and yesterday I thought that it's been a long time since I updated the OS so I wanted to upgrade to crDroid 7.2. But this upgrade didn't suit me at all because I hadn't installed the right GApps packages.
So I formatted everything thanks to TWRP but the mistake is that I checked everything in "Advanced wipe" so I find myself without any firmware nor anything. I searched for a few hours for a stock G960F firmware compatible with my phone blindly because I don't know my precise model. On Odin, it's always blocked at the "recovery.img" step. The only time it went further than that, there was a "fail" and an error was and is still displayed: "An errror has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software".
Here's what I'm wondering: did I totally brick my phone and it's a waste of time? Or I'm just looking wrong and I downloaded the wrong firmware all the time. (I'd like to go back to the basic Galaxy OS, i.e. One UI, but I have to install the stock firmware first, right?)
Thanks for reading, I know it's stupid of me to want to do something without a tutorial or anything, sorry
