[Q] Gapless playback on WALKMAN app? - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Is anyone else having trouble with gapless playback on the Walkman app? I did a search and it appears that there was an update in July that introduced gapless playback - so I would have assumed the Z1C would have the latest version... But every album I play there is a gap between each track when it should be seamless.
Playing the same album on Google Play I don't have an issue and it plays the album as it should with no gaps.
I've started using Google Play Music instead for this reason, however I'd prefer to use Walkman, but the lack of gapless playback is a deal breaker.
If anyone could shed some light on this it would be appreciated.

Can anyone play this AAC+ Streaming Radio url?

Can anyone play this stream using the native Audio SW library. I think it is a AAC+ shout cast stream - http://sc.2dayfm.com.au:80/ http://sc.2dayfm.com.au/listen.pls According to the Google Specs, AAC+ has been supported since V4.1 http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/media-formats.html
FYI - I can play it if it is handed off to a Video Player (like MX) or open in a player like Tunein, but it should (I think) just play from a the Standard Sound Player but I just get a "sorry ... does not support this type of file".
Thanks
Nathan

[Q]Is it possible to play music while recording video?

Found some suggestions on other forums but none worked. The best possibility right now is a dash cam app but I'm wondering if there is a traditional camera or media player app or some setting that will allow my music to continue to play while recording video. Snap chat's camera does this but I want a regular camera app that will do it. Also I'm listening to the music via bluetooth. I'm on a regular unrooted t-mobile LG G3. Thanks.
I can do it on the google camera, you just have to play the music after recording. If you're listening to music and start recording a video the music pauses, then you pull down the notification bar and click play and you'll have music while recording.

Does Xperia Z5 lines support music video on music app?

Just want to ask some question about Z lines music app...
we all know that iphone/ipad can play downloaded music "videos" together with other standard mp3/aac music on iphone/ipad music player... we can play music videos on music app on iphone/ipad even if we turned off the screen and it will continuosly play.
my question is, does the latest music app of the sony xperia have this capability, to include music videos on music app and play it even we turn of screen and continously play with other music files such as mp3?
thanks and have a nice day...
There's a link between Spotify & Walkman

MediaPad M2 10: FHD video is laggy

Hi guys,
so I uploaded on my tablet's memory FHD movie, about 3GB with some cartoons, for my kid and it is terribly laggy while watching.
I am using VLC video player, but I tried about top10 from Google Play - everywhere same issues:
- video is laggy
- audio/video is slightly out of sync
Is it performance issue, which means that 2015 tablet is not capable of playing FHD movie or is it something else?
Cheers,
Tom
I have m2 8.0 but I have no issues with videos.
Even with movies with dolby digital 5.1 sound I have no issues. Did you try the movie on a different device ?
I use mx player pro for video playback, you can try the free version maybe.
I just bought a Huawei Mediapad M2 and 2 have been returned with Google Play Movies playback issue. Same problem - sound dropouts and video freezing. As a customer I would expect a Android device to play movies natively from Google Movies.
So far I'm disappointed....
unster, davidtamagotchi : Did you make sure that your power saving features are turned off? If you've got power saving turned on, that might be what is causing your lag. I've not experienced any issues so far with movie playback using vlc from the Play Store.
