[ROM][OFFICIAL][4.4.2] NamelessROM [NIGHTLIES][d2lte] - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

What is NamelessROM?
What is NamelessROM ?

Simple - NamelessROM is opportunity.
An opportunity to have a voice to the development team of the after-market firmware that you run on your device.
The main goal of NamelessROM is to provide quality development for android devices, phones and tablets alike.
NamelessROM developers are available nearly 24/7 and respond to bug reports and feature requests almost instantly.
This availability will allow you, the end-user, to have direct input into exactly what features and functions are included on the firmware that YOU run.
NamelessROM maintains features and functions of several well-known open-source, AOSP-based ROMs, as well as many features of our own. See the screenshots in the 3rd post, and visit our website for more detailed information.
NamelessROM = endless possibilities. Unless you have an iPhone, then you're out of luck.

I recommend using TWRP, which can be installed using Shellnut2's app, FreeGee, found here on the PlayStore -> FreeGee<--
CWM seems to take EXTREMELY long to wipe /cache and /system, but not TWRP :good:

Nice:good:

Updated from Nameless 2/16 and statusbar is missing.

Try a clean flash, I know it says if coming from names less already then just flash, but we were running homemade test builds. So a full wipe is best. Sorry about that. But still not sure why status bar would disappear though.

Clean install worked perfectly....Thanks. What are the major changes from the previous build? Maybe I missed them somewhere in the OP. overall, another fantastic job! I'm really surprised more people are not jumping all over this ROM. This is the smoothest and fastest of all 4.4.2 ROMs I tried.

Mostly just using all the nameless repos, and navbar has been added back in. If you check gerrit.nameless-rom.org you can see what's been added an is being added.

I'm a very high power consumption user so I'm -20.2/h but I hear its good for the normal user. I read on old forum that it runs excellent with quantum kernel. Haven't tried myself though, backup first.

Is Bluetooth and camera working on this ROM? as it is not working yet successfully on the most recent nightly from CM11?

Great ROM with some nice unique features. Very promising future. But fast tap to focus kills the camera. Every 4.4 ROM I have tried is the same, including slim, carbon, omin, aospa, quantum. Seems have to wait till CM fix the camera issue.

Try this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WmXYcxpx7g
Or just use two fingers to fast tap to focus on the camera screen. It might be just my own problem but I know other people also experienced camera issue. And I don't have this issue on 4.3 ROMs.

Tons of camera updates tonight, let me know if issues are fixed.

Not a bad rom. Not the fastest compared to Liquid Smooth. I thought it had more features though, the battery icon choices are pretty boring compared to other ROMs. I used the Google Apps standard package that was linked in the OP, but I'm having frequent Google+ FCs. I saw this morning Google Now Launcher updated, so maybe that will resolve the issue I was having. Overall it's an alright ROM, just doesn't have a lot of the features I thought it would.

Team EOSJB 4.1.1 ToroNIGHTLIES
Continuing on from the success of the EOS ICS roms, we present to you EOS3, based on JELLYBEAN!
It is the goal of Team EOS to develop and maintain the highest performing and most stable AOSP based rom for an array of platforms. For the latest news on Team EOS releases make sure you follow @teameos on twitter and on IRC on Freenode in #teameos.

NOTE: Team EOS, it’s members, friends, dogs, cats, and associates are in no way responsible for any loss of data or device functionality. Use this at your own risk!
--
A quick note on Nightlies: NIGHTLIES ARE DEVELOPMENT BUILDS. They are automatically generated every now and then, and represent the compilation of the latest commits to the code repository. While every effort is made ensure that the commits that are accepted are stable and do not have a negative impact to the overall performance and function of the builds it is not possible to test every aspect of a commits impact to the overall repo prior to it’s inclusion in a given build. As a result it is entirely possible that instabilities may be introduced as a result of a given days commits. That is the nature of the nightly system, and the risk that is taken using the latest code changes to the project.
EOS is an AOSP based rom. It is developed and maintained by Team EOS and is the culmination of our own in house development efforts.
Team EOS Nightly builds: http://goo-inside.me/devs/teameos/roms/eos3/nightlies/toro/
G-Apps Package
Because this is an AOSP based rom Google Apps are not included in the base rom. To install Google Apps please flash the following package after installing the base rom:
Temporary Gapps package gapps

Features:
Because these are nightly builds the included features are constantly evolving, we do not provide a change log manually. Instead please see the changes on jenkins for your build.
For the most up to date and comprehensive listing of the changes included in this rom please visit http://review.teameos.org
Kernel:
Kernel Note: This rom is currently using the stock kernel, so you can find the sources from aosp.

Installation Notes:
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery.
Perform a full wipe (read Factory Reset) prior to installing this over ANY ICS or JB based rom.
BUGS!
If you find strange or otherwise unexplained errors please report them here: https://bugs.teameos.org/ Please include logcats and as thorough a description of the issue and what lead up to the issue as possible. With out this we will be unable to track down these errors.

Setting the CPU is baked into this, in addition to some preliminary battery display options. These are obviously just the UX / UI modifications, there's a lot of other things different in the back.
Things I haven't seen all baked into one ROM yet:
-Power menu options (w/ torch and screen shot)
-Lock screen options
-Stock launcher mods (resize etc.)
-Notification toggles
Team EOS - This ROM runs extremely well, running it with the latest Faux kernel. Everything feels great, and I've yet to encounter any issues or FCs.
This is interesting.

No Gmail app?
I just installed this after a full factory reset and cache wipe. I then installed the Gapps from the original post. All seems to work fine, except there is no Gmail app. I was able to add my Google account, but there isn't an icon anywhere for Gmail.
Any ideas?

WORK IN PROGRESS!! FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
Hey guys,
Decided to try my hand at porting tonight using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908008
I HIIIGHLY recommend it if your thinking about, or looking to start porting.
For a while I wanted to port something that was unique to our forums. Since we have some amazing AOKP builds thanks to Haze028: http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4153704, and some nice AOSP and stock JB from Houstonn: http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4852479, I decided I wanted to see if I could bring something unique to the forum. I was thinking something like Paranoid, or maybe RootBox, but then I found CarbonRom. So I present to you my first, and I do mean FIRST!!! (and hopefully not last) successful attempt and almost kind of doing some sort of dev work.... maybe, lol.
Anyway its been booted and running smooth so far. Its actually surprisingly smooth, I think maybe even smoother than aokp or aosp. But it could be just me being excited I didn't brick my phone, haha.

Android 4.2.2

Not Working / Issues:
*Doesnt seem to be rooted properly. It comes with SuperSU installed, but I was having trouble updating the binaries. So I installed superuser and root checker, but root checker says im not properly rooted. And I cant get busybox to install.
*CPU shows it wont go lower then 1026 in performance menu, but it does go all the way down to 384. If you try to adjust it, the performance menu will freeze up on you. I think there is something wrong with the permissions. Part of the port instructions were to swap perm files, but the nexus and OG are so similar, I think I can get away with leaving them as is. That will be V2, lol.
*No NFC, not that anyone was expecting it to work (I hope). It kept fc'n on me when I first booted it so I had to take out the nfc apk's.
Anything else, please let me know.*
I haven't tested this with my sim card yet, so im not too sure about calling and texting. But wifi and bluetooth work, so I anticipate that they will work. I used chadouming's CM10 as a base (thank him here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1986924), so most things are pretty solid. Im going to have to look into what the issue with root might be. Again this is a work in progress, so it can only get better from here.
And please bare in mind that this really is my first go at something like this, so be kind, lol. If anyone smarter that me, and I know your out there, wants to take what ive made and run with it to make it better, and maybe start another thread with a more stable build, go crazy.
Its hosted on my dropbox, so depending on how quick you guys click, if at all, the link may go down quick. If anyone who gets a download is able to post or host a mirror Id appreciate it.

Nope. I followed the guide found in the op. And used your cm10 as a base.
ROM also suffers from sod's if your connected to WiFi and you leave the network while two phone is asleep. If you turn off WiFi first you will be fine. Same bug as in houstonns aokp build he posted in Haze's thread.

ATRIXX I think Im going to give your rom a shot. I'm currently on houstonns 4.1.2 JB rom on my E973 and I was wondering if I need to downgrade via .kdz to E97310F in order to install your rom? Or can I just follow install instructions from the state that I'm at now? Also what Gapps package do your recommend?
Cheers
Re: UPDATE!! [ROM][PORT] ---------> CarbonRom V2: A Nexus 4 port!
Ya your going to have to downgrade and re-root. I'm not 100% what firmware version you need to downgrade too. In my case I have an e971, and I had to downgrade from "E" to "D" firmware in order to flash anything aosp. If the e973's "F" firmware is equivalent to the e971's "D" firmware, than that's what you need to be on when you root.
As far as gapps, I'm just using the latest ones from goo. I believe 20130301.

Cheers

If your on telus, your gonna want to go to E. If your on bell, f is the one.
flashed it this morning and it has been stable (no reboots) for the past few hours with working phone/sms/camera/gps/mobile hotspot. I used houstonn's gapps package and the messaging app wouldn't open/work so I tried it with chadourning's version and that fixed that issue. I might give houstonn's new aokp build a try sometime today as well but this rom looks promising :good:
[Edit] experienced sod issues when receiving text.
Mirrors for everybody!
I have A LOT of bandwidth to spare, OP I highly recommend you add this to your original post before your Dropbox maxes out.

[OFFICIAL]VANIR & COMMOTIO for GEE [LINARO][O3][GCC-4.8]

Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android with subtly improved versions of the features you love to as many devices as possible. we've tried to incorporate and improve our features in a way that makes them more cohesive to improve the overall user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality..
What to expect:
- This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
- maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
- originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
- aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
halo (active display & lockscreen notifications are in review)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc

Hi xboxfanj,
you´re the man! Thank you so much for supporting our Optimus G.
Do you mean you could build a kernel for us? That would be great!
l only have one question. Is build from source like the opening thread suggested or is it based on CM? Because since CM 10.2 I am not really happy with it...

Is camera autofocus working? Can other kernels be used? if so, which? There's any chances from features from PA, AOKP, and others to be available?
I miss active display, and some custom stuff from PAC and CM10.2, in CM11....its like running a car with manual gearbox after having a full automated one... :/

I think you should do what ever you want to do to your rom. Im just grateful you are making roms for a LGOG varient you don't even own.

OTA updates should work by the way and there will be nightly builds.
@guidoido004, autofocus does not work yet (without the script) but I do have some ideas. I'll work with Chad on it. Unfortunately, other kernels don't work (if they're not based on Chad's). Haven't figured out why, but other kernels seem to reverse the colors.
We can add features, just let me know what you want and me or one of the other guys will work on it.
MultiWindow unfortunately won't work yet because it conflicts with Halo. Active Display is available, as is HALO and PIE and many other features from other ROMs.
Nice nice nice! Thanks my man! BTW, how about the Quick Access Ribbon? Is it not overlapping in this build? Because for E975 VANIR, the issue is not yet fixed. And for recovery, CWM/Philz Touch or TWRP? Thanks!
Quick Access Ribbon still overlaps. I think it is in VANIR's source. This is the only bug I see, what keeps me from using it for daily driver. I hope it can be fixed. I already reported it on the G+ community 2 days ago....

It overlaps. I mean, let's say I have 6 tiles in the quick access ribbon setup, in the notif panel, it only shows the first 4, then overlaps the others.
Can you show me a screen shot?

Okay I will take a series of SS from the settings to the notif panel. Thanks.

edit: also your boot animation is not the correct size for commotio, haven't tried vanir yet
edit2: commotio couldn't load past boot animation, trying vanir now
edit3: Vanir works really well, bluetooth, gps, wifi, dt2w/s both work, camera works, screen off circle opens camera, havent been able to start torch through off screen, mic on speakerphone works! Pretty good rom, gonna try it for a bit
@DHO I have been testing this rom for over an hour and i must say i am very impressed, other then off screen flashlight gesture not there, everything else seems to be running super smooth, i would say better than gummyrom in my opinion, very good work keep it up!

Edit: it's actually systemui that crashes

Super psyched to try this. I was thinking about trying to teach myself how to build ROMs just so I could give it a try. Glad I don't have to now that someone who actually knows what they're doing is building it.

Agree that everything I've tried works so far. It does seem a little slower than the plain cleaNrom but I'll take a rom with features anyday. So glad to find a 7.0 rom where I can configure the nav buttons.

Howdy - when you say "BT works", does that mean:
1. You can connect to a BT speaker, for instance & play music thru it.
2. Can you pair to your car, play music via BT & accept a phonecall without crash or freeze?
I've seen BT issues mentioned on every other N ROM I've been following, would be way cool to have one break that barrier .:good:

I connected to a Bluetooth speaker and played music and podcasts through it for about 45 minutes. It did disconnect once, but I reconnected it and it was fine. Connected to my car just fine too, but I didn't make or receive any phone calls.

I'm going to add subtratum to the rom. If the rom seems sluggish it could be because it's still needs to be optimized. Its using stock toolchains and the kernel I'm using for the g3 hasn't been optimized yet either.

It's not bothering me enough to stop using it. No worries. If I can be of any help please let me know. You've done some great work for us T-Mobile g3 users. I can't thank you enough!

im having uber issues adding in subtratum. Everyone elses rom you just cherry-pick and you're done. On slimrom it's requiring more work.
I got subtratum working.
How stable is it? Any FCs, reboots, etc? A little sluggish is okay. Thanks.
