SGH-T999 RF band selection? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

I can't able to post this on the Android Development page, due to that I am a new member.
So I was playing around with the USSD codes, and I do know that T-Mobile earlier versions of SGS3 (SGH-T999, not SGH-T999L) does not support LTE. But After pressing *#2263#, I found out that they did this:

I was quite surprised about that it is on WCDMA/GSM mode. If I turn on LTE/WCDMA, LTE/GSM, or automatic, would I able to get LTE signal? Of course I live in an area that has LTE, Los Angeles (would be really surprised if they still haven't have LTE yet on our area). So what do you guys think?
By the way, I am using Android 4.3, the latest android that Galaxy S3 can support at the moment, if that helps.

Still no replies? :/

Nope, it states right in the release notes (under the about tab)
"Currently does not support the Galaxy S3"

Someone was trying to figure out a way to force roam.

Uhhhh what?

yep this what is going on with me S2 and any ROM I install. 3G video calling icon and always give FC. I figure out the numbers but the icon I have no idea how it came. BTW 3G video calling is a future in Samsung galaxy family the Internationale version not the US version. US networks does not support this future.
Good thing we have hspa+

Not sure what that is, but no T-989 is not LTE compatible.
No and never. LOL. Its just stuff standard for all phones I bet.
Regardless ...as said above...the t989 does not have the hardware for it.
The end.

As of today, lte is active across richmond, midlothian, mechanicsville Virginia. I'm on the road all day. There may be more. I'm averaging 27mbps down and 16 up.... with a max 33 down so far.
Tmo.

Jealous! In Va Beach here...don't think we have it yet although I'm not entirely sure because I'm putting off the update until I know we have lte because of battery concerns....

I've seen LTE in the Bells Road area since Monday but i was only getting 1 bar.
I saw LTE first time on my phone on my visit to IAD airport earlier this month.

Straight talk LTE

Started talking about this in another thread.
As of this afternoon my gs3 on straight talk with AT&T sim has gotten LTE. No clue why. I was having trouble with mms and talked to straight talk CS yesterday and he mentioned my account had some discrepancies between the front end and back end of the network and they would work on it. Today, boom LTE.
