No, that link will become active. The only reason it's asking for username / password is because basketbuild has been off and on recently after switching servers.

Just curious what's the customization like on these 4.4.2 builds of the developers don't have the source yet, just considering it it'll be worth the upgrade from my feature packed and stable JB PACman ROM

Sounds like a good surprise on the extra features, I know this is a little nitpicky...but would I be safe to use an app like DPI utility to make things a little smaller saaayy stock 320DPI down to 280 or 240?

Yes yes yes I recommend xposed that way you can alter per app dpi and put your device into phablet mode. IMO this device is too big to use in phone mode.

Hmm I didn't expect that feature to still be included in the first KK release! that means I can still have my dual-panel email, settings, pandora, play store and etc? and since we're about 53 minutes away from the release what exactly is the DPI number the phone will automatically change the layout of the apps?

It's not included, you'll have to install xposed framework and install the app settings module.

I'm with ya... lol what is the point of a count down lol ????
oh well... will check back in a couple of days or something I guess =)
whenever it does come out,,, I have no worries will be great.

I've checked for other phones like the sprint Galaxy S3 and for them the countdown was actually legit :-\ they've got their first KK nightly build and it's making me very jealous... But I guess it'll be a couple of days like y'all said.

Q1. Which Google Apps should I choose ?
There are 3 gapps to decide from
- CyanogenMod gapps are updated only when a new version of android is released i.e. like 4-5 times a year.
- ParanoidAndroid gapps are updated frequently and vastly improve multi dpi support.
- SlimBean gapps are updated frequently as well and they also improve multi dpi support, with that they can be inverted by enabling PAC in Black from settings.
Q2. I have an error during installation.
Try a different recovery. Some people have issues with cwm so try twrp in that case.
Maybe the downloaded file has corrupted, try redownloading the file.
Q3. The rom doesn't boot up. Or I enter a bootloop at second reboot.
This is due to the fact that most kernel haven't been updated to support 4.3 yet. So if you try to boot up with a kernel which doesn't support 4.3, you will be stuck on bootlogo and/or bootloop. Reflash the rom again and don't flash a kernel this time.
Q4. I am having issues with touch at bottom of the screen.
This is due to pie. If you don't use pie, then disable it from Settings -> PAC-man -> Pie -> Trigger area -> None (disable) .
Q5. I miss voodoo sound support on this rom. What should I do ?
The kernel of pac-man is based upon cm's kernel (unmodified, built straight from cm's sources) , so it doesn't have voodoo sound support. Please use a different kernel to enjoy voodoo sound support.
Q6. I have problem a,b,c...x,y,z ; What should I do now ?
If you dirty flashed (without wiping data partition) over previous rom or nightly, then try a clean install.
Otherwise leave a reply with your issue.
Q7. Why this rom lacks features like halo, pie, hybrid settings, aokp tweaks and all ?
They are included, Make sure you swipe the settings column to the right side (see the pics) to discover the true benefits and features of pac-man rom
Q8. Is there a way to get rid of nav bar at the bottom of the screen?
Go to settings -> PAC-man -> hybrid properties-> interface -> then under workspace, slide nav bar to 0%
Q9. App folders don't stick to home screen, what shall I do ?
This is a known issue and it will be fixed soon.
Q10. I am having problems with external sd card, what should I do now ?
Make sure that you don't use exfat file system on memory card. Otherwise, all sd cards upto 64gb are supported.
Q11. How can I modify shortcut bar in recents menu ?

I found Slim gapps the best. If you enable dark UI your play store, google+ and few other apps also turn black. Give it a shot

Edit - I just looked at their jenkins nightly builds and ours hasn't even started yet. My guess is it will be a few hours before we see anything....

Running decent so far. Haven't completely got it setup yet. So far I am missing the PA settings to adjust screen dpi per app. I don't see Pie or Halo. I may just be missing something but its also not a big deal. Less UI crashes so far. Will continue to play around with it!

Well, none of the features yo mentioned have been officially ported to 4.4, so it makes sense that you don't see it.

Hey no problem! I've been checking pacs wesite about every 2 hours or so. The Hercules build failed but skyrocket passed. Im just happy to see that we will have another great ROM back for our old herc and PAC didn't toss us aside like a few ROM bakers have. Veeery grateful and patiently await PAC kitkat.:highfive:

I soooo love lockscreen notifications. One of these best features for Android to date in my opinion. Also dig contextual notification headers. So simple but it really adds to the notification/quick settings panel.

Wait no more ladies and gentlemen! PAC has arrived for our hercs!! Running it now and the options are ahhhmazzing!! :highfive::victory: I shall enjoy this old school gamer goodness.

Guys be aware a lot of 4.3 features may yet be missing we are waiting on a lot of features to be brought up to 4.4 by their respective devs.
Edit: I'm counting on you guys to work with me on making this build work for you so any issues that arise please let me know. And if you logcat use pastebin and link here please. This will allow us an organized and productive thread.

Yea I know if that was the case this ROM would take a couple of months to release if they wanted to release all features in kitkat
I know there is a logcat app how do you use it have no issue helping out
like the boot up who did the boot nice

I don't use apps I use adb on my PC. Much easier for me.

Build is unusable for me. Constant fc 'Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped.' I tried several GAPPS packages including the one in the OP. Looking forward to finally getting to run PAC on my note 3.

Also having the same issue com.android.phone has stopped. Blame the Split Screen.

Lol just like you m8 pac man was the only real aosp/cm10/11 ROM ive ever liked had bad experience with them on my note 2 never liked them but pac man was different. Can't wait!

So, i have tried it all, upgrading gapps, rebooting and wiping again, cache, system, dalvik, and still doesnt work. I know you guys are busy, so iim going to offer up if you guys want to try it on another device you dont have access to (tmobile version) hit me up. I can try it for you on mine.
