ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy KK.
You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it!
TWRP Recovery 2.7.+ is highly recommended to use OTA App so download .tar file and flash it from Odin.
ROM has GAPPS, custom dpi & xposed persistance in between dirty flashes
Feel free to use AICP full 4.4.2 GAPPS package from HERE or thread's Download page...

AICP is amazing. My Nexus 7 2013 also has AICP.
I think it is the best AOSP based ROM for 9500 currently.
Just one question: the thread title said 9500 is officially supported, but the pcloud link is labelled unofficial. What does that mean?

Does this rom supports OTA on nightlies?

i am using this ROM from the very first minute (TheStrix' initial release) and I have tried the most MM for the Redmi 1S. But this one is my absolute favorite. Unfortunately after installing the latest update there's a problem with music playback. Sometimes the playback stops or the sound is completely gone. No other problems. Everything's fine. Amazing!

Now, ihave performed a clean install, but the issue persists. I face the sound gaps with all apps: Spotify, stock player, PlayerPro. The sound will completely go on each app.
And there is an another bug: using the camera app will killing some apps, just like Spotify.
Very strange!

Yeah, I've never used this ROM before, but I really really like it.
You can't find kminilte on the AICP download page because it is not officially supported.I just built it for our device as a request really. So it's completely normal that's it's not on the download page there.

FM-Radio is something that afaik is missing because of missing drivers. So at this point only way to use it is sticking to stock rom. Else you can try internet radio apps. I am not entirely sure though, as I dont use it anyways, but I think to remind discussion about it in cm12.1 / early cm13 development. You could search those threads for fm-radio, maybe you get some more information :good:
*edit*
Nevermind..apparently the phone doesnt even have a radio receiver  never used stock, I guess there wont be a radio-app as well, can someone confirm that?

I mostly agree with this.Depends what you want though.Slim is well..slim
They have added more customization though.I need to update slim..Alpha 0.4 is broken,so I'm hoping alpha 0.5 will work.
@zaworka turned me on to RR.It was my favorite.I have been using this however and like it a lot.All personal preference.
I just built OctOs ROM and am currently using that now.I like it a lot as well. I just like trying new things perhaps.I will post that up here if all seems good with it after I test a little bit.
I updated my kernel build to work with this ROM. If interested

Hello, I hope someone can help me with my problem here, I successfuly flashed cm based ROMs and this one too but there seems a big problem because when I try to enable data when it switch to LTE my phone will automatically reboot itself this is happening in all cm based ROMs I pulled a logcat hoping someone can help me out of this mess.

AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to LineageOS when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or LineageOS team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't LineageOS supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

Don't disable Heads-Up. You wont be able to answer phone calls otherwise.
You tell...
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Nougat.
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows LineageOS source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.
If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

I'll throw this rom on my S3 tomorrow morning. Thanks for making a build for d2spr!
Been running this for a bit, All is well thus far, really enjoy the features from roms of old. Only complainant is that this rom didn't take to substratum as kindly as other roms I've tried with notifs being complety black, but thats just a minor user problem. Thanks for supporting this as another option to choose from for nougat.
I always did like the features of AICP thanks for this gonna check it out tonight.

You need the apn fix zip for whichever service you use, like boost, virgin mobile, ting, FreedomPop, etc.

So it makes it OK to discuss & compare roms in a development thread? Everyone subscribed to this thread (& other threads too) will have to read thru useless off-topic posts like yours, imagine new members looking for solution & information to their problem have to read thru pages of posts.
