Replacement for / theming the "Active apps" widget - Galaxy S 4 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

You know the S4 comes with an "active apps" widget that tells you how many apps are running and when you click it it takes you to a task manager? I would like to customize this a bit so it fits my current launcher theme. I don't really want to try an alternative task manager, I just want a widget that does the same as this one but can be customized more?
Same with the lantern widget.
Edit: Sorry, I had two tabs open I meant to post this in the apps / themes forum.

Tap the Active Apps widget and this screen comes up ...
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}

Yes, and it is very useful. What I want to know is if there is a widget that does exactly the same but that allows you to customize its look.

Are you talking about the toggles? That is switch pro.. If you are talking about the launcher, then it is probably Launcher Pro.
no talking about the icons like i said in the post.
They are from launcher pro

Launcher pro with custom Icons. Press and Hold the shortcut icon you'll get options for the shortcut, then it'll ask you what icon you want to use, browse your gallery, select your downloaded icons, wallah! custom icons.

[Q] "Merging" Icons in Desktop Visualizer

Hi!
I'm currently looking for a way to "combine" to widgets to look like they belong to each other, or seem connected. I want to use these spaces to put apps in them to use them as better looking icons.
Currently my homescreen looks like this. Is it possible to do something against this problem?
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
thanks, bye

i havent tried this perticular idea myself but if you are using a launcher such as LauncherPro you could set the icon grid to 10x10 and accomplice this, more or less, and with this setting you have pretty much "free" icon grid with resizing.
you might have to do a little editing to the icons you are going to use so the will "fit" together.
hope i could help and you understand what i mean.

ICS Task manager app?

Hi, can anybody tell me if this is an app or how can I get these preview thumbnails in the task manager (holding the home button) I presume? Thanks

Hey,
isnĀ“t the task manager just added in Touchwiz Roms (Samsung Stock roms)?
If you watch the attached vid in this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420996
you can see that Samsung have added a button for the tm in the left corner...

It's been integrated into ICS (Sammy & AOSP) but in that particular picture ^ it's part of the launcher. It's called ICS Launcher (based on ADW - I don't like it) and it can be found HERE.
You can tell from looking at the bottom bar of the "tasks", it has the Honeycomb status bar

Skins and Themes

I've stumbled upon this website that gives you idea for themes. Some of it is pretty awesome, some are minimalistic, simple, etc.
Here's some sample:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Just got to Mycolorscreen.com and register to the site.
Some themes are complicated to copy if you dont know what to do. Remember that some requires third-party apps like UUCW, widget locker, popup widget, SiMi Folder Widget, Zooper Widget, Etc. as well as launchers like Nova and Apex. The Themer adds info about what apps needed, setup instructions and files for us even wallpapers.
Happy Theming.

Stock Homescreen Clock

Why does the stock clock repeat the date when the homescreen already displays the date at the top (without the ability to customize or remove, as far as I know). And you can't edit the clock either, to remove the date, so you're forced to see it twice. Or get Chronus or whatever 3rd party widget...
Why? Or am I missing something?

You've got two different clock widgets there, the actual clock widget and the "at a glance" widget. Long press one of em and remove it. As this phone isn't released I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're in the wrong forum.
