[Q] Where is the Adaptive Light widget located - Galaxy S 4 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've searched for the apk for the adaptive light widget on the I9192 and haven't been able to find it anywhere.
Does anyone know where it is located. I'd like to mod it so that it takes up only one space (1x1) instead of 2x1 (which is a waste of space IMHO)
Other than that, the widget is by itself the best, instant light.

I tried to find ways to customize it but I gave up, there are tons of apps that do the same and can be customized - including widgets that take 1x1 - anyway. I personally use "LED Flashlight + Clock"

You can use a launcher that support widget resize
I personally use google edition launcher and XGELS xposed module
The bottom right gray icon is the stock widget

Yes we can use another app that has the same functionality but all of them have a small delay in switching on the light. Only the adaptive light widget is instantaneous.

Weather app and widget from Acer Liquid

This is the weather app and beautiful widget extracted from the acer liquid rom dump.
http://www.mediafire.com/?jgwmeuijnzy
thx...gonna check it out
can you post up some screenshots of these widgets.
thanks
Where do you set your location? It's nice weather in Washington, but what do I care?
Widget looks 4x1, but its really 4x4.
Unable to change from Wash, pressing menu from the settings screen only brings up 'about'
Even if I could correct the city, the 4x4 is annoying.
same here..couldnt change location

+1 here
Using again beautiful widgets
Its quite large (5 MB). Is there a screenshot of it somewhere?
I'm also interested in the custom clocks, and Connectivity widgets (see below)

Not sure why you guys are not able to change the location. The only thing I did was remove the widget and then re add it. I then was prompted to insert my location. Still, I doubt I will use it since I lose space on my screen.
Thanks for the tip that I should have tried anyway as I was about to also post the same issue. But now I have to find out how to add my location as it is in not in the index. Anyone know how to add city to the index?
Does it not have a search box above the list of locations? That's how I had to do mine.
obviously it does but my city is not in the index
Wow, that is very odd. Where I am currently staying is pretty much the land of the forgotten (middle of the desert) and I was still able to pull up info by zip code.
To change the location, you'll have to first remove the widget from screen then re-add it. At the re-adding, it'll ask you for the location.
You might have to do this for more than once in order to activate its setup screen.
Tested, removed and added again Beautiful widget
How can I remove a weather widget from my screem??
thanks
I ran this on my Droid Incredible and it worked. I love the look of the widget but the damn thing is off by 23 degrees.

Froyo Power Control Auto brightness

Hello All,
In the Froyo leaks, roms, etc for the Incredible where is the Power Control widget that has a fourth option for auto brightness?
My co-worker with a Droid (1) and Froyo has it, and I have seen it posted as one of the "Features" of Froyo. Is this just missing from our roms and leaks, can we add this in? I would love the ability to easily change from auto to manual brightness.
It looks like this:

"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I know this isn't the solution you're looking for but you can also get 'extended controls' from the market, it has tons of other options for those power control widgets including an auto brightness toggler. The app is only about $1.00.
Also this seems like an apps question..just sayin

I have used extended controls with 2.1 but I would much rather have the functionality built into the stock widget, especially if it is part of Froyo.
Maybe this thread should be moved to apps, but I thought it was more of a development question.
CM6 has this feature. I love it.
Skyraider sense has it also
I get it free with quick settings found in the market.

I'm running SkyRaider and I don't have it.
I'm very interrested too.
Can anyone extract the widget from CM6 or Skyraider sense ???

Camera Flash On

is there an app for the G2 that allows me to turn the camera flash on/off?
If your asking for like a flashlight app. Download LED Light from the market. It's an actual widget also. Hope this helps..
- Fly like a G2
I use the Power Control Plus widget (and program one button to the flash....)
If the jpg attachment worked, it is the large lightning button on top....On/Off...it works great....

perfect thanks.
teslaLED is the best light app hands down
TeslaLED is another option. It lets you create a Power Widget-like widget to control the flashlight, too.
Remember to add the app to a keyboard shortcut!

Control Your System Colors [No root][KLWP]

KLWP - Install first - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kustom.wallpaper
AHXmin - Install next - https://www.dropbox.com/s/yh27em1auild5wf/ahxmin.apk?dl=0
Choose from blank min for wallpaper and adjustment settings only
or
Install min for 2 page with weather, news, events, and music (Must set KLWP to 2 pages and place a blank widget on page 2 to make it work)
Works for the following theme colors with a single adjust color global.
Quick settings and app drawer bg
Google now feed bg
System and lockscreen shade
At a glance and status bar font colors
Best advice I can give is that the adjust color will overload your Pixel to think that color is dominant and then all of the above adjust accordingly.

Yes the apk works. No it will not change a tint issue.
Can you post screenshots that show this off? Or is it just a slight tint to the screen?

I think so but I am unsure. I think the S10 uses the "Night Mode" setting only unless you mod the system themes to be light\white.
You can try. I have an S10e from USA (970U1) and I will try it in a bit.

Hide app

Hi, I have a rooted S20+ and I wanted to hide some apps from the app drawer, since I already have them in my home screen and I see no sense in having two shortcuts to them. Also, this would "clean" the app drawer a bit.
The things is, I can't hide them. If I use the "hide app" option on settings, it will go away from the home scree too. I want a wayto display them in home screen only. Also, even when an app is hidden, it will still appear if you search for its name in the search bar... Some apps I want completely hidden, from app drawer,homescreen and search. While others I want only in homescreen or only in app drawer. Is this possible to do or I will have to use another launcher?
I used to use Lightning Launcher in my previous phone, but I wanted to use Samsung OoneUI native launcher, since it's native, cleaner and easier to edit.
You can't hide app and keep it's shortcut on home screen same time, sry!

I'm working on an xposed module that will allow you to easily do that. I've already implemented mentioned feature to xperia devices >> here << (Features > All Apps).

Samsung's stock launcher is based on the same aosp launcher on which xperia is (com.android.launcher3 - well modified, I gotta say).
Stay tuned (no eta)!
Ok, thanks anyway. I am using the Lightning Launcher again, for now. It's a very good launcher anyway.
