Installation
- Download the rom on your computer, then copy it to the phone memory.
- Set recovey: http://www.mediafire.com/download/p7ltim5h6cwoy8d/Recovery.apk trigger recovery.
- Boot your phone into manufacturing recovey level.
- Full Wipe System (Wipe Data / Factory reset, wipe caches, dalvik-caches)
- Select 'Install zip' -> 'choose zip from / sdcard'
+ Install baseband (if needed)
+ Intstall Rom
+ Install Upgrade package (if required)
- Once installed the system to Full Wipe (Wipe Data / Factory reset, wipe caches, dalvik-caches).

Could not make a call. I changed APN settings and nothing. I am about to try a different modem and also, if I have it, the english version of the custom settings...
After numerous attempts to make a call, I have decided to go back to a dif build. I've done all I can (all I know) and nothing works for me. If someone knows a fix, I'll give this ROM another try. I will note that the camera/video recording does indeed work. Unfortunately, I did not take much time to test the audio from videos because I need to have service available, as I am in management and can't afford to miss calls.
I owned a Pantech Vega R3 and for custom roms and other info I went to vegaviet.com. Now I own a Optimus G Pro F240S and did not even looked for...lgviet.com:crying:

Not quite sure how you mean to update baseband, etc....
I restored the back up I made right before I flashed this new Rom, and I couldn't even get call to go through with my backup.(Yes, calls worked just fine before flashing this ROM)
If it makes a big difference, I'm on AT&T network.
Ugh. The trials and tribulations of phone modifications.

Accidentally thanked ya lol. If you're talking about my build.prop I would NOT advise using it on this ROM. My build.prop was made for KK and this is JB.

If you can upload the build.prop for this, I'll tweak it a bit. My modified thermald.conf will work on this to fix thermal throttling and the annoying limited brightness.

Radeonmayas kitkat is based on stock kitkat from korea, its a bit tricky to flash but you could give it a shot.

Confirmed that shutdown does not work when first flashed. Flashing the DJ's Cache superwipe to fix this after the initial startup and subsequent reboot did not fix it.
Except Camera everything else is working fine for me

the language swiping wont work properly.
i have english(US) and korean selected. when i switch to korean (via swiping spacebar button on keyboard to change to korean) the keyboard characters change ok.
but then when i start typing it still types in english and not in korean.

It is NOT confirmed. You did not flash correctly. Follow these steps:
1-Flash Superwipe
2-Flash Radio
3-Flash rom
There is no cache superwipe. You are getting cache wipe and superwipe confused.
So far the only 2 confirmed issues are:
1-Camera broken
2-wifi calling broken
Flashed using twrp and have only the camera problem havent tested wifi calling. i even restored data from DE 2 beta 2....

did you wipe your phone clean before flashing that?
remember you are flashing a stock ROM
you need to first roll back to a stock Gingerbread before flashing this ICS stock ROM

I flashed over the tmo leak by tdj. restored data from that rom onto new tmo rom. works fine and shuts down and restarts fine.

Yea but I'm sure that a good wipe would do it and I don't have to go back all the way to Ginger and reflashing from there it doesn't make sense !
If you dont depend on wifi calling, the Telus build is newer and better then tmo build. No CIQ, no bloatware, newer build. much smoother, better reception and 4G speeds.

I have to agree im confused if i should go back to telus hahaha - I do like the wifi calling but other than that telus ftw!
i have zero issues with the camera and wifi tho ... not sure what everyone else is experiencing.

Your camera works? And not wifi, just wifi-calling.
yes wifi calling and camera work normally as ever. only thing i cannot do is flash s voice for the life of me ... just does not get picked up properly and it worked on the telus release.

Build number not version number, Telus - May 17th, Tmo - May 6th, yes i tested both tmo and telus and went back to telus.

Due to time restriction I am not able to update everything..
Apologies but this is still a CWM restore based...

copy to sdcard\clockworkmod\backup
go to restore and select the folder and restore.
reboot enjoy ( no need to do a factory reset )

you can always just clear the defaults of the launcher so you will get back the CM launcher its stil there i havent removed it... so is the lock screen as well

Yes, I just remove Lock screen GS 4 and clear launcher to default.
Try for some days, find out the issues if have and report later.

Hey anirudhks, can you upload a TWRP restore based???
Because, i use CWM to restore your rom into my phone after install TWRP to backup rom 4.3. But when i restore rom by TWRP, it always restart automatic. I don't know why.

I only keep stock software because non of the custom Roms offers the smart stay screen or smart video or dual shot camera and dual video recording feature that the stock ROM offer. Until those things aren't put in to a custom ROM I most likely not gonna at least as for my daily ROM switch to a custom ROM. Just to many awesome features missing in custom ROM vs the stock ROM.

Hello all.
I see there are already some custom kitkat roms based on the stock kitkat for optimus g f180.
Here is the very stock kitkat rom provided by paulicat on the andoid development. It is good and battery life is awesome, as stock usually is, but there arent a lot of features.

And here is sling rom 2.0 from lgviet, it has many features, such as guest mode, slide aside and cool lockscreen effects, inclunding the "ocean" effect from lg g flex. It homewer doesnt have knock code or knock on. It does have the knock off which is nice
Battery life is almost as good as stock kk.

Using the sling rom on my e975, haven't used it enough to give feedback on battery....
But heres some screenies
The first two hours I was using this rom, it felt very slow in animations, keyboard and such, but now that it has been running over the night and had a reboot aswell, its really snappy and responsive!

So how do you guys Install the sling rom from lgviet? Do you flash a patch or something? And if you do, Which patch is it? Im asking because I couldnt get it to boot past the lg logo. I flashed only the rom in lgviet. I have an e975. Thanks for help

Okay, could you possibly give me the link that you downloaded it from? It could be a bad download for me. And also i flashed it over the stock kitkat by pauli.
Heres how i flashed:
(Twrp) format data n caches
Flash sling
Flash supersu (unneeded?)
Format data n caches again.
Could it be that i would have had to format system too? How did u flash?

Thanks a bunch. I will try this. This could work as the previous file that i downloaded was bout 800mb, and your file was over 1gb so i might have downloaded a wrong file at the first place.
It works!!? but does this rom have knock code or knockon? How to activate it?

Yes ofc. Sling is the fastest and less bloated so everybody should be greatfully using it.

I'm using the first kitkat available here in the forum (4.4 rom.zip) and have a strage feature/problem.
When I receive a call is I Don't answer or reject in 10/15 seconds, the call is answered automatically...
Anyone with same "problem "? Any way to disable it?

well i'm kinda new to say starting thread bt using xda for a long now.
This work solely goes to wangsi008 and thanx to him we got a lolipop .
only known bug is scrambled youtube.
steps : fullwipe(data,cache.system,dalvik)> intall rom>aply fixes> gapps = reboot( boot time take long enogh to grow impatience )

Is it in english though?
i'm using F240K and trying to install Cm12 0812 wangsai but this kernel makes my phone touch screen becomes unresponsive. anyone here could help me or guide me telling me what did i do wrong? thanks in advance.
here's my steps how i install.
wipe data, cache then dalvik, fomart system.
install from zip cm12 0812 then gapps
then another dalvik wipe then reboot to system.
any steps is wrong?
I use TWRQ 2.7 of wangsai

lol please do I'm assuming this works on E980 but is all Chinese; kind of funny though we haven't seen any straight unofficial CM12 builds, mostly has just been Vanir/Commotio and BlissPop.
I am running now and only added apks are chinese.

So what is your opinion on this lp rom? What works/doesnt work.
Everything i have tested worked. I dont use bluetooth and i am working now. Selinux is permissive out of the box though so v4a works flawlessly so far. I used faster gps to set my region and no problems with gps.

Yeah the last build was all Chinese but this is a major improvement everything seems to work as you said just removed the Chinese apps and flash gapps. Might stick with this for awhile. Pretty much the best Lollipop build I've ran so far and is practically the same as Commotio and BlissPop just without the tweaks and branding. Thanks for sharing this OP :good:

You need to flash each file: Rom > new 220k e98x (select e980 version) > GPS Fix > Call Fix (select e980 version) > After booting successfully > Flash gapps >Done
I just flashed rom, kernel and gapps but better to be safe.

I don't really use bluetooth and don't have a spare device to test it fully with, but I did select it in settings and it does turn on and scans for nearby devices.

When turning off I got "unfortunately bluetooth has stopped" before completely turning off, switched it on again and worked fine switched if off and turned off fine. But when attempting to turn off again "unfortunately bluetooth has stopped" reappeared before turning off. So no force closes but it seems 1/2 times you will get bluetooth has stopped before completely turning off; hope that helps.

Validus for G3 D852
I just installed my first rom on my LG G3 D852 and am liking it a lot. It's the Validus Lollipop rom, it's giving me an issue when I plug it into the computer... It's not showing up as a drive and therefore cannot transfer anything. I've reflashed it and the GAPPS zip but no change. Anyone have a solution?

This one is damn near perfect....just flash in recovery....it supports 4k video and android wear as well....Ive tried them all and this is my favorite...

Do you have usb debugging checked in developer settings??
just so you know as well, apps like box or drop box are the new way of doing what you're trying to do..... install box on your computer....install the app on your phone.(you get 50gb free)...add your files you want to transfer to the box sync folder on your computer.,...open the app on your phone and the files are there....lol....download them to your device....I haven't plugged my phone into my laptop for like 2 years..... way better and easier than a cable.....and then you also have access to those same files on any device you own....or other computers (by logging into your box account)
try it out....thank me when you realize how awesome it is...

can anybody direct me to a step by step guide to install custom roms. im new to roms. i want to flash validus rom for lg g3 d852. please can anybody help. i had samsung s3 before g3. it had complete guides.
i read through some topics. i just want to know that im on stock rom, do i need to unlock through bump or i can just directly flash twrp recovery and flash this rom?

Cool thanks. I realize that nothing will get exactly like stock but do you feel the picture quality is close enough?
Also I rooted my phone and install twrp last year..... Do i need to update twrp or anything like that? Or can I just flash with an older version of twrp?

then flash the twrp 2.8.0.0 image of twrp with flashify app from your stock ROM ...(its already bumped)..It will bump your device.

Then flash the updated twrp 2.8.3.0 for d852 in recovery...

then 'reboot recovery".don't reboot phone!...reboot recovery from twrp advanced reboot menu...then you're ready to flash lollipop roms..
Make a backup with the newly installed twrp 2.8.3.0 and then do a full wipe ...(everything except internal storage and ext sdcard)
then flash rom
flash gapps
reboot and enjoy...

Just flash it and try it...its very close to the same as stock...and even has 4k video and android wear support
You need twrp 2.8.3.0 or higher for lollipop roms....I use 2.8.3.0

No it wont...we have a d855 build available on our google + community.... go there 'Ground Zero ROMs'

no idea....i was told it has 4k video....I don't ever record video with my phone so not sure....go back to stock if you need that....

Hmm what browser you using? I just downloaded using Chrome on OSX and no issues at all....
You activate 4k video recording by swiping right from the main camera screen, and then hitting the little video camera icon...
IR Blaster App recommendation
Hi I'm currently running the latest test build on my rogers D852 and I've noticed that in the threads the IR blaster is working. I've installed a few IR Blaster apps and none of them seem to work so are there any recommendations on working apps? Aside from that, thank you so much for all the hard work, I've been following Validus since the early test builds towards the end of December 2014 and its great to see this device getting support for custom roms etc..

Ring volume not working
Hi There, I just installed the ROM but for some reason my Ring Volume icon is not highlighted and ring is not working at all, I tired to select ring tones but non of them work, any ideas?

Reboot? I have no idea? I haven't had that issue here at all....nor has anyone else. Try a full wipe and clean flash if all else fails.
Xposed Framework
Was anybody able to get Xposed to work successfully on this ROM with the D852? Clean install
