So i want to ask, does anyone know if the 1st item is completely included in the second one?
In that case i think i will just buy the 2nd one.
AFAIK, the micro USB port is faster than the Wireless charging port, that's why i also want the 1st item.

They're both 9W 1.8A AC adapters so even if they're not exactly the same in appearence or whatever, they should perform the same.

@D3_
Thanks for answer.
If both chargers performs exactly the same with the N5,
Then I'm going to go for the wireless one. And use the micro USB when I need a faster charge.

The wireless charger actually charges really quickly. I've laid my phone down on it and went and took a shower and whatnot ~1 hour or so and it'll go from 30% to like 70%. Obviously my counts are accurate since I don't know exact times.

Is there an official name for the type of USB cord the Galaxy Nexus uses?

From what I understand it is officially a USB micro-b cord that is used to charge and sync with a computer for the Galaxy Nexus.
Does anyone know if this is accurate?
Thanks! Don't want to buy the wrong one off of ebay
its simply microUSB cable. Just make sure you buy a quality ones, even though its universal, often cheap ones have trouble with data transferring.
It's male USB to male microUSB, I assume that's both A, not B which is female.

Monoprice sells them cheap, up to 10ft and 15ft lengths, but I wouldn't use these for anything more than overnight charging. There is HUGE power loss on that long of a cable, meaning it'll take quite a long time to charge the phone, even off of a wall socket. I definitely wouldn't use a 15ft cable (or even 10ft) to transfer data or use Fastboot/ADB for flashing. Just wouldn't want that "line loss" to interfere with anything. Probably a bit paranoid but just not worth messing with it. Just use the 3ft cable in the box for that.

Thankfully most newer phones are micro USB unlike older phones. I know my Tilt 2 had a proprietary connector.
Thanks everyone!
I forgot about monoprice. I'll give them a shot, especially since their return policy is awesome
Make sure not to get mini usb. The name is similar to micro usb, but they are completely different and incompatible.

I bought this car charger, and I have a Q.

OK, so I bought this car charger, and it has 2 USB ports on it, A and B. A charges at 1.0a, and 5w. B port charges at 0.5a, and 2.5w. My phone has some charging issues where it uses too much power. My phone only works in port B, and lately I have to reboot my phone to get that to work. I was wondering if I could get port A to work with my phone? I know it works because my dad has the Note 2 and it works in port A. Thanks in advance.
First off this belongs in GNex accessories. Second there's no reason your phone isn't charging at 1A if everything is working correctly. Sounds like some kind of grounding issue.
Sorry if it didn't sound right in the post, I meant that my nexus isn't even picking up port A. And yeah I think my nexus has some problems, I was using my dads note 2 charger which puts out 2 A, and my phone was discharging. I don't have insurance, so I don't think I can get it fixed.

Chargers do not ”put out” amperage. The amperage drawn is determined by the device itself. Even though the charger is rated at 2 amps, the phone will only draw about 1 amp.

adding charging port

ok so i wanna add another charging port out the back for my in dash vehicle install. can anyone tell me how to add another charger without soldering into the micro usb port? i tried checking the pins on the back cover to see if any of them was apart of the qi charging and if so i would of just soldered into the pins on the mobo to the qi connection. but fot the life of me i cant figure out what ones are the charging for the qi as i cant find any voltage on them. unless im missing something? i attached a picture showing the pins i tried testing. they would be easiest if i just knew what one was positive/negative.
can anyone tell me where to solder in wires for another charging connection that isnt at the micro usb connector at the bottom? (i cant use that as the pins are just way to damn small for my soldering skills.)

quick update i found this, i found this image and it looks like the leads from the coil goes to the left of the cover but yet when i check for voltage when qi charging it doesn't show anything...
Why wouldn't you just use the wireless charging functionality that is already built in? Mount the charging pad behind it in the dash. I've seen a few people doing dash installs this way and it works great.

Quick Charge 2.0 doesn't require any special settings on the phone.
You're sure its a QC 2.0 charger? It should have the lightning bolt in a circle symbol (like in the picture you attached) or otherwise indicate "Quick Charge 2.0" somewhere on the charger.

Did you get the charger from a reputable vendor; or is there any chance its counterfeit?
Or it may just be defective. Try it with another QC 2.0 capable phone, if possible. Or you may just try to return/exchange with the vendor.

Portable Aukey Battery not working with Axon 7 anymore

Hello all,
I bought an external portable Aukey battery that was working fine until I don't know what happened...
This is the model I'm talking about:

When I plug it to my phone, it starts to charge, and then stops. I have 3 identical devices, and they all do the same thing. I have changed the USB cable, same story.
If I plug my phone to another QC3 charger, portable or electrical, it works. But not with this device.
It used to work some weeks ago, and then I upgraded the firmware from B03 to B08. I haven't used them since.
Anyone noticed something like that? No problem with external chargers?
Thanx for your thoughts
Funny.
I've ordered that portable charger but i had to send it back because it wasn't working just like yours.
The charger works for 5 seconds and them it stops working.
Tested 3 different cables - got the same result.
My phone has B08 firmware.
Using the Aukey charger with another phone that doesn't have quick charge, it works OK.
I have another older portable charger (doesn't have quick charge) and it works fine with the Axon 7.
I've ordered another portable battery with quick charge 3 from another manufacturer.
I'll post my results here when i receive it.
Thanks.
Maybe this quick charge issue will be solved in Nougat firmware...
I'm sorry for the late response but only today i received a new power bank, after 2 different orders.
I've bought a BlitzWolf BW-P4 and this power bank works great!
Fast charging works as advertised and has a small profile with 5200mAh.
You can find this power bank here:
http://www.blitzwolf.com/Qualcomm-Certified-BlitzWolf-BW-P4-5200mAh-Quick-Charge-3.0-Power-Bank-p-136.html
I'm very pleased with this one.
