[Q] Standard USB or MHL? - General Accessories

I am currently using an MHL adapter for my phone to run mirrorlink on my Pioneer headunit. All my cables run up through my center console and the short cord coming from the MHL is too much of a pain to work with. I found a company that will build me a custom cable as long as I provide them the specifications. I'm thinking of a specific retractable micro USB cable (female to male) but I want to know if the output cable on the MHL adapter is special in any way.
Here is the cable I'm referring to. If this is just a normal micro USB, my idea will work. If it's a special pin configuration to support the MHL data, I don't think the cable company will have access to that kind of hardware

Samsung 30-pin Hub?

Just wondering if there is such a thing. I would like to be able to charge the tab while hooking up a controller. Or hook it up to my tv via HDMI for emulators while using a usb controller and maybe even charging also.
You can plug it to your TV and charge it at the same time with this

for a controller you'd have to use a bluetooth one (wiimote...)

Not officially, but I think there's a schematic for one in "make your own cables".

The problem with this is that it is USB 3.1, I think the adapters that OnePlus uses in USB 2 and that is why only their adapter works. for OTG

Isn't USB 3.1 supposed to be backward compatible or something?
I got a USB Type C to USB 3.1 Type A female adapter for OTG with my OP2 but it isn't working...

Micro USB 2.0 to Micro USB 3.0 adapter

I found this USB 3.0 Micro B Female (9-Pin) to USB 2.0 Micro B Male (5-Pin) adapter.
I'm wondering if I used this adapter with a Note 3 cable, would I be able to benefit from the USB 3.0 transfer speeds, or is that still limited by the Note 4 USB 2.0 port even with the adapter? I couldn't find any information on anyone using this before, and I don't know much about how the hardware works. Thanks.

Yes, because the note 4's usb port has no 3.0 capabilities that adapter is really only useful if you don't have a micro usb cable. It can't output the 3.0 speeds, no matter what adapter.

Spectra USB DAC

I have this Honor 7x, it's the first phone I haven't rooted or changed the Rom. I'm quite happy with it.

I like to listen to music and I have the Spectra USB DAC. It doesn't work on the Honor 7x. On my previous Note 3 (R.I.P) I had a micro USB 3 Adapter that worked.
For some reason the Spectra doesn't work with a micro USB to USB-A host Adapter. I have also tried using a micro USB cable and then plugging in the Spectra through a USB-A to USB-A Adapter.
Still nothing. I wonder if it is a hardware issue or something is missing or disabled in software?

Car GPS, USB hub, HDMI etc.

Hey All
This is maybe a very obvious question, but I was wondering about connectivity with the following setup in my car.

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But basically I was wondering if the phone will pick up the HDMI input from the screen via the USB-c running from the phone to the hub. Will there also be pass through charging?
Does anyone have any advice on a decent hub to get that would fit the bill also?
Lastly are there any good inexpensive HDMI to wireless dongles that would allow me to connect my phone to the screen instead of the above method? I would of course need my phone plugged into the hub to keep it charged, but this is more to do with being able to connect to the screen when I am out of the car. Not essential, but I would like to use the desktop mode on my V20 wireless if possible?
Thanks in advance.
