so long story short.I saw this company named Tylt at CES 2012 and fell in love with this little sucker. testing it, I got 3 full charges to my phone.. which is amazing. the colors are cool as well and they will be releasing a whole new line of cool little things
I reviews it for you guys ..

Nice review mate !
Found another review on Tech Junction : Tylt PowerPlant Review.
Good video review, Raul, but NOT a good value for an external battery. This is 5200 mAh battery with a typical 70-75% efficiency which means in reality you only get about 3800 mAh of charging capacity. And on amazon it's priced from various sources for $65-$70 and has less than a hundred reviews. This will be used for only 1 charge with my Note 2 3100mah battery and not even a full charge with my new Nexus 7 tablet. The best value and quality are Anker external batteries with hundreds of 5-star reviews and variety of models like Slim 3 with 6000 mAh battery and built in cable like Tylt and cost $37 or Astro3 2nd gen with 12000 mAh and 3 usb charging ports including smart port that can charge latest iPad at 2.4A and 10-led power indicator with 80% efficiency output all for $49.99.
Sorry, didn't mean to rain on your review, you did a fantastic job with video review. I just review hundreds of accessories here on XDA (check out my sig link), and haven't found anything remotely better in quality, customer support and warranty (18-months warranty), and pricing. RAVPower also has quality external batteries and sometime have great deals under $30 for high capacity batteries, but they don't have as much variety as Anker.

EC TECHNOLOGY 2300mAh Li-ion Battery

http://www.amazon.com/EC-TECHNOLOGY...1347070326&sr=8-2&keywords=anker+battery+t989
I was searching for Anker battery on Amazon and saw this first. I never seen this battery until today and no ones posted a review on Amazon. Its only a bit stronger than Anker but I was thinking about purchasing these just to see how it goes. I've used the Anker batteries before so I'd feel more comfortable buying Anker other than EC, but still wondering if anyone bought these before. Comments?
I bought some EC 1800 batteries and the universal charger and they are OK they last a little longer than my stock battery. They say they don't work with NFC on the nexus but not sure about gs2 because I never use it.
All in all decent product comes in a nice packages, which was nice to not get bulk packaging from amazon.

External Battery Pack for my Android device?

I'm currently looking for suggestions and feedback on and external battery power extender specifically for my Nexus 4, and maybe for an iPad occasionally.
I've been skimming online all day, looking at different brands and models. One battery that seems to fit my needs is from a company named New Trent:
http://www.amazon.com/New-Trent-NT7...qid=1367450278&sr=8-1&keywords=newtrent+nt70t
Anyone have any previous experience with this company and their products?
I'm mainly planning to use this to keep my phone charged when I'm not near any wall plugs or when I'm on vacation.
How much extra charge should I expect from this battery pack?
Any insights on this would be much appreciated.
I don't know about their batteries but they do make some killer micro fiber styluses.
You'd probably get 2 good charges out of that back up pack, assuming their #s are solid.
I haven't tried that specific brand, but I have used a few others. I currently use the Motorola P893 (89536N) which is only an 1860mAh battery pack and I get about an 80-85% charge on my Galaxy S II 1850mAh battery. So if it's anything like this one, expect about 80% of the rated capacity to be actually usable. Thus 7000mAh would translate into about 5600mAh of useable juice. The Nexus 4 has a 2100mAh battery, so I would guess you would get a solid 2 charges and still have some juice left over.
Hope that helps.
Monoprice.com has a nice external pack for a great price. I have one and like it.
I can't post links yet, but its under $29 for a 5000Mah pack.

Interesting, going check this site out
New Trent
I am a beta tester for New Trent and they have wonderful products. I currently have the PowerPak + NT135T. It has 13500 mAh which is huge considering most phones have close to 2000 mAh. I can charge my Nexus 7 (2013) and HTC One at the same time without a hiccup. It's only $54 and can recharge a Nexus 4 5 times.
If you go on amazon and search for external batteries, the #1 brand with thousands of 5-star comments is Anker. I have reviewed every brand of external batteries, and wrote a ton of detailed reviews in the sticky of this Accessory section of XDA (and in my sig link). I have looked at Anker, New Trent, RAVPower, Yoobao, etc... A lot of good trusted brands, but customer support, warranty (18-months), variety, and recent 2nd gen introduction to stay ahead of other cookie-cutter CH generic brands really sets them apart.

my question is : is there something else I should consider buying instead?
I will mainly use it for a tablet charging (the tablet has 8000 mah battery)
it must be from amazon and sold (or fulfilled ) by amazon because I need to ship it to an Amazon locker in NYC.
Thank you very much for you advises,

Your other choices are Lepow U-Stone 12000 mAh (they just dropped the price significantly down to $39.99) or NewTrent iCarrier 12000 mAh (price is down to $37.95) or RAVPower Knighrider 14000 mAh ($39.99). All are reputable companies with a good quality control and a decent warranty. RAVPower design is an older one, more generic. ICarrier has been around for awhile as well. U-Stone stands out, but I'm not sure how big it is. All 3 seems to be fulfilled by Amazon, so hopefully they will deliver to NYC locker.

I must say thank you for the detailed answer , unfortunately saw it too late (stupid gmail folders) so I've already ordered and I can't change it now since I can't lose time (my friend's wife is only going to be in NYC for 1 week and I don't want to take the risk in delays)
anyway , that Lepow looks good!
Thanks again

I was going to pick up an HDMI cable for $2.99, but then the shipping was going to be $10.95. LOL.
Anybody know if this cable is anything special, or can I get a generic one from Monoprice?
Also, that Bluetooth remote thingy looks interesting, but I can't really imagine that I would use it much. Anybody have one of these?
Moto's $11 shipping is really killing their accessory sales. I just can't see paying almost $30 for another set of screen protectors.
Thanks for the heads up. Picked up 3 battery packs, the headphones, the Bluetooth remote, and HDMI cable.
Gonna have to teach my parents how to use the battery packs lol.
The cable only works for the droids, not the moto x from what I know

The sale is still on and the shipping is $10.95 for 2-day, $4 for "standard". I just ordered a few things.
isn't this a better deal for a charger = http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Universal-Portable-Battery-Packaging/dp/B008RZYN8A/ref=pd_sim_sbs_cps_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=17ZY177MKVBSVQDSKA7W

amazon link says $13.95 + free shipping on orders over $35... Unless you have amazon prime shipping is $5.74.
$13.95
+$5.74
--------------
$19.69
So no, $19.69 is not cheaper than the $9.99 plus $4 shipping costs from Moto.
I ordered two packs, one for me, one for my daughter, total was like $26 after tax and shipping.
got myself a pack too, well, its for my girlfriend. Her S3 is always dying, so i thought this should help the problem a bit...

The one on the moto site is a P793 with only 1400 mAh, while the one on the Amazon link is a P893 with over 1800 mAh. They're both too small to be of any real use, even @ only $10. I managed to grab a 5,000 mAh pack for $15 a while back.
At first I thought it was a super hot deal, but after researching about the products, they look like crap.
The battery is only 1400 mAh and according to a picture of the product, it only outputs 5V @ 500mA rate.
I also wanted the Bluetooth Smart Controller, but reading it, looks like it's pretty useless flop.
Flip Stand looked good as an original OEM device, but reading some reviews it's also crap.
The only thing I want is the HDMI cable, for times I want to hook up my phone to a TV, but one cable plus shipping, I don't think it's worth it.
edit: Got the HDMI cable while ordering moto bluetooth streaming device (was $20), it's actually a microHDMI to HDMI cable. This is not a microUSB-shape cable. Works for my XE-500T tablet though.

Yeah, I picked one up along with a couple of sets of $3 headphones. It is a low-capacity battery, but in decent packaging to carry in a briefcase or backpack. It certainly is not a multi-charge your device option, but if running low, it will get you through the day. This is my first phone that I can not carry a spare battery with me for - so this was a reasonable option at a cheap price. Obviously they are clearing these as they have the newer higher-capacity ones on the site.
I just bought the p4000 for 21 on eBay.. Kinda glad I did..
