Hi, am trying to figure out how to flash the rom the tab to CM 11, I read around the forum from some insight but still seems like am missing something as they are for other devices running a different version CM, if someone can tell me in step by step in windows 7 how to to do it that would be much appreciated

First you need odin to flash recovery http://www.theandroidsoul.com/get-c...r-samsung-galaxy-tab-pro-8-4-wi-fi-sm-t320-2/. Beware, it may void your warranty. Recovery you can find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2666232. Before flashing custom rom i highly recommend to backup your device.

There is no way to stop setting knox bit yet. So, if you flash anything, you set the knox bit and counter, so it "may" void your warranty. But in many cases users got repairs by warranty service, even if the device is rooted. My HTC ONE X also rooted has been repaired by warranty service for free. They told me, that my device was rooted, but the issue was hardware failure. You have to wait for new methods or just flash, but it can cause trouble of course, when the warranty service refuses to repair your device.

For the first question, I am not sure never rooted with that.
For the second question you do need to flash the stock. Usually people just do that to hide that it has been rooted. If it is for that purpose that you are asking, and you have flashed roms, I recommend using Triangle Away, because that erases the counter of how many ROMs you have installed.
If you are at the stock you will receive updates, and if you do the update you will lose root. I have done that in the past with my Droid Bionic. I do not recommend it though because it lagged the hell out of my phone

Well, what's the point in installing the STOCK ROM if I wanted to UNROOT in my case?? (I mean I've no warranty anyway)
Can I just unroot without flashing?
And Yes I know about Triangle Away, I've read about it recently.

As far as I know(being doing this for 3 years) There is no way to unroot without flashing the Stock Rom. The only way to flash the stock is using odin.
Honestly I do not know the best easy way to do it. All depends on the version you are at. I was on the updated version(not sure the build number). That framework apk didn't work with the version I had. The way I rooted was by first unlocking, then installed the TWRP through odin, then flashed a zip that rooted my phone. I do not recall any of the links. For the files, I lost them all because I just got a new computer and I was dumb enough to not do the back up on the other computer. Also I dont remember if there was steps in between, so I dont recommend following what I mentioned .

A year ago I unlocked bootloader, rooted my phone and flashed a custom ROM. Is it possible to get my warranty back if I unroot it, lock the bootloader and flash a stock ROM?

Are you sure it is still on warranty? If you have rooted the device year ago then most likely the warranty period is already over.
In case you still have warranty proof you may take a risk to flash everything back to stock and bring to a service. If it will appear as hardware problem the case might be accepted as warranty (I've seen some posts telling this). And of course this might depend on the particular service center policies.

Yes it is still on warranty and it is probably a hardware problem.
Tbh I have no idea, I imagine if you can relock it and unroot it and install the original RUU it might be fine. The one thing that would concern me is if the HTC boot screen still had the red writing on it...

I've pretty much used a S4 before this, recently got a free Tab 3.70 and it was so slow that i need to change the firmware and root it.
I'm wondering or it seems to be there is no Knox for the Galaxy Tab 3.7.0? (T210 variant). So it means my warranty won't be void right? But I've also read that the Triangle Away does not support the Tab 3, does this mean that if i root/load a custom rom and kernel, I won't be able to flash away the counter to get warranty still?
Finally, for S4, some important things to note were the CSC/PDA/Firmware of your device, but without a Phone dialer, how does one go about doing this and is it necessary to take these details down for the Tab in order to go back to its original state?
I have recently bought a Tab 3 8" and would also like to know will i be able to keep my warranty if i root it. I am currently at 4.2.2 and i'm not interested in flashing another ROM, just gaining root. Is there a completely reversable way to do this?

Warranty will be void if your device is rooted, and yes there is a way you can get it back restored unrooted. Just go to your device size thread and find the right one. Hope this helps.

1) Complete instructions on how to root and mod your phone are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s6/general/how-to-to-100-stock-root-t3075448
2) Sprint stores do not, in my experience, care is you have tripped Knox. If you need to have a warranty repair, use Odin to restore stock (which is in the instructions above) and they will honor the warranty.

I have Verizon now and they don't have any way to unlock the boot loader yet. thinking about switching before my 14 days are up.
I remember from my old Samsung rooting days that Samsung phones had a tamper flag, so even if you restored to stock they would know that you rooted/how many times etc. Does the razer phone have a similar thing? Reason I ask is I have been used to OnePlus phones where it doesn't void your warranty to root and now I have the razer phone (loving it too!) - don't mind rooting it if I can flash stock and lock bootloader and no one knows the difference (for warranty etc!)

As far as I can tell, no. I originally had my phone rooted and running Magisk and I reverted back to stock and relocked the bootloader to do an RMA because my screen had developed a group of dead pixels. They accepted the RMA and sent me a replacement device after I put it back to stock.

Ah awesome. You in the UK? Got my phone with 3 and Debranded it to get the 8.1 update earlier - I have the insurance for it anyway so no matter what I do to it, it should be covered really - Also sorry for the slow reply... Busy busy! Now to wait for some ROMs to show up, or a Magisk image I can flash that's 8.1 compatible!
